@@NickGranville nah let him cook, it'd be like the mince and cheese pie version of the Brent Mason Telecaster and we could get one into the music department of every high school in NZ lol
Hey Nick I agree with those changes you outlined especially not sitting plumb on the gat stand grrr thats so annoying, anyone who's been in the building industry could relate. I've always admired the talman but even more since watching you show casing its strengths and play-a-bility. I'd definitely buy a Nick Granville signature model cheers 👍😎
I liked mine a lot. Put a broadcaster bridge pickup in it. I built a roasted maple neck palouwnia body based on the Paisley model, and it bumped the Talman down the road.
Had one. Really wanted to love it, but the small nut/string spacing just made it uncomfortable to play for any length of time for me. So I agree with you on that. I doubt they're going to ever reissue that as they've gone all in on the AZ style tele models. On the flipside the old ones aren't that expensive used.
Yeah, it is a little smaller than I’d like at the nut. A friend has an Eric Johnson strat and it’s pretty much the same so makes me think they were going for a fender spacing but I prefer the Gibson (like a 59 LP) to be honest. Still, I don’t play cowboy chords all that much so it’s not too bad for me anyways.
Ha, thanks! I only changed the pickups. Everything else is stock. And besides the pickups I put in aren’t a world away from what was in there to start with
Yes, that’s pretty much what this guitar is - a tele with some mods. I dig it. Super comfortable to play and a nice tone. The changes I suggest in the video are small but things I’d like. Cheers
Maybe a Nick Granville signature model? ;-)
I’d love that, but they’d sell none of them. Ha.

I would definitely buy a Nick Grandville signature Ibanez
Thanks!
You’re too kind. Thanks Khalil

Thanks so much! Maybe one day they’ll make me a custom / signature guitar. I already have it planned out in my mind. Ha. Cheers
@@NickGranville describing that guitar in detail could make for an interesting instalment!
Good idea, maybe one day I’ll do that

Nice, I like broadcaster pickups! I’ll bet that was good. Very cool to have a custom guitar, that’s got to be the ultimate right?

the Deluxe 59er for the late 70s was the shit The ones Gibson sued over Mine was stolen about 15 years ago
Yes, those were great guitars! Bummer yours was stolen, that sucks.
They should reintroduce the Roadstar II range from the 1980s first.
Those were good guitars for sure. 👍
I think Lorne Lofsky has been playing Roadstars for decades. Great instruments, and not only for the $$$.
Yes Lorne sure does. He’s a great player too
Likes body shape and tuners, changes everything else "They should reissue these" 🙃😉

🥝 you have some teles from Ibanez 🤓
