If you ever want to get down from a high place but don't want to walk, just jump while on a horse. The horse can't die from fall damage and you also take no fall damage. I did that so much in my most recent playthrough, lol

Huh, I didn't know about that, so I usually just used barrier. As long as you have even a sliver of barrier it absorbs all fall damage.
