I agree with you Mr Spot,,they have over done it with the paint on his face. His likeness gets lost this way and we can t see the sculpt too much. Which is a shame !! Nice review and new intro !!
Yeah, Spot. I have a Play Arts Kai Uncharted Nathan Drake and a Metal Gear Solidfigure and both have the over the top shading. It's so sad that the great sculpts are marred by the "shadows" and "dirty effects", especially on their faces.

They are doing well with the double knee joints. Thiss one has sculpt in them.
Just got this figure and I had to repaint the face a bit because the black shading was overkill imo
