- I am building the roof pieces for My Log Home on the ground and then I will place them on top of the walls when it comes time. The winter here is severe and I had to really fight through it, but I am getting very close to being done all of the log work that I can do over the winter! These roof pieces have turned out beautifully and I cant wait to see them on the house!

Welcome to Traplines and Inlines
I have the pleasure of sharing my passions for the wilderness, building, fixing and all other things interesting with my great group of TH-cam friends.
I have lived offgrid in the bush for over 3 years, but now I am moving to the next chapter in my life and am building a big log home as my next place to live. It is going to be an incredible journey building my own home. I am using logs I harvested myself and plan to do most of the work by myself. This project will be the main focus of my channel, with many other adventures along the way im sure!
Thank you for watching
Stopped the crap I was watching … NOTHINGS better than this guy!! Excited to see you! You won’t find a harder worker, that is the WOW factor right there bud!!👍🏼
exactly!
There's a lot of hard workers out there doing this. But not quite to the scale of this house. This is an extreme undertaking for ONE guy up take on. But he's the right age to do such a project. I wish I was still able bodied enough to do so.
@@sherwpinkhair Couldn't agree more - when I saw he'd posted a new vid I was like - Oh, Cool - let me get a coffee.
He's a great craftsman and I love his commentary and explanations as he works.
He's pretty deadly.
Dude, your filmmaking skills have really developed! I’m 54 years old and am so completely impressed with your drive and determination to achieve any goal you set your mind to. I used to be impressed with your Mechancial aptitude when working on Inlines. Then impressed with your relentless drive on the Trapline. Now even more impressed with your developing craftsmanship on this work of art of a cabin. It is also now dawning on me how much you’ve honed your craft at filmmaking TH-cam videos. It doesn’t go unnoticed and we appreciate it.
Keep up the great work, young man!
Thank you John I appreciate that a lot because I have been working hard on getting better at making videos particularly over the last year so It is very nice to hear that! thank you
What is your name? You never tell us your name when you're videos. Also where about do you live so that I could get a perspective?I'm just a city boy, so it's amazing. The work that you do especially in that damn freezing cold. Where I live. People start complaining when it gets down to 66° or 65°. Keep up the good work , buddy , I'll keep watching.

@@TraplinesandInlines Thanks for the Deadly long sleeve shirt. Saved to my most important playlist 🤝🍁💪
@@OGAC1I looked him up and found it.
All it said was first name Pretty.
Surname DEADLY.
This kid has single-handedly restored my faith in the younger generation!
No, just him
I see Traplines and Inlines, I click LIKE.
I`ve followed you from the early days and I have to say you have come a long way. Most kids your age are still trying to figure out what to do with their lives.
Most kids his age are trying to figure out what gender they are .
Lol i shoulda pulled the battery out of this at minus 36. I'm dead in Hudsonville Michigan
Great to see you again. This is the best log home build on the Tube!
👍 This build has it all. Brute force, harvesting and moving massive logs alone, precision of all the joinery. Battling the elements, snow, cold, and wind. All by a self-taught young man building a beautiful functional house, which is also a work of art. You should be very proud !!!
thank you very much Kevin
Well you can always look on the bright side, no mosquitoes 🦟 😂😂😂
You know what though? Every once in a while I'll find a mosquito flying around in the dead of winter in Minnesota. Demonic stuff, I'm sure.
Vancouver, gets 3 to 4 inches of snow and a real sense of panic sets in. Saskatchewan, working outside at -20 with chain saws and other lethal tools in near white out blizzard conditions. This is not very pleasant! 😂 Your level of tenacity, dedication and perseverance should be an inspiration to all.
Yer making us Canadians proud brother!
While other people don’t recognize the little details it’s the craftsmanship of the craftsman that is most important
'Bout darn time you posted! I love your ideas, your progress, your insights, your skills, your commentary...etc. Great channel...keep it up.
Thank you!
100% Canadian...and he's back!!!
Absolutely no way I’m not following this to the end, it is one of, if not the most satisfying channel on TH-cam. It is such a joy to watch you. Your parents must be stunningly proud of you.
I can’t believe portable saw mill and woodworking companies aren’t reaching out to this young man!
HARD WORK + ATTENTION TO DETAIL = WORK OF ART
You are a Master Artisan. The actual Wood Whisperer! Truly inspirational.
people that notice these things that you refer in the end are the people who know. I mean they are the people who can really appreciate and understand the crazy thing you've accomplished. other people look at this as a house anyway, who cares about their opinion. it is unreal and unbelievable what you do there by yourself! Respect! If I ever happen to visit that Canadian area (that is around the world from my home), I really wish I could see that house with my own eyes. Keep up the hard work! 99.99% of the people do not have even a close understanding of what has to be put into that build to make it happen, so if they can't see it, try to be forgiving. :)
You are absolutely incredible! terrible conditions and you still produce a masterpiece! You are capable of anything! Very well done !
thank you very much Lee
As I sit here in my warm house waiting for your video to be uploaded, I am so impressed with your enthusiasm. I have been following you for some time, and I can't imagine how proud your family must be of you. Keep the saw sharp and the splinters out. And never stop where your dreams lead you. Thanks for the great ride you've taken me on. And continue to get at it.
I'm 49 years old, and you young man are an inspiration.
I have no words! The wow factor is off the charts. Be proud of yourself young man.
The little details is what makes a master craftsman which you certainly have b come Respect young Man.
There are not a lot of today's youth that have the drive and discipline this young man shows , i am always impressed by him !
They say if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well. You should be proud of yourself, your work ethic is first class. l love watching your videos so thank you and have a nice day. Sending all the best from the UK.
thank you the best to you as well my friend!
@@TraplinesandInlines Thank you.
So viele Daumen nach oben wie ich hier geben müßte, kann ich gar nicht geben. Das ist einfach nur der absolute Hammer was du da ablieferst!
Be proud my friend, this is going to be a generational home for you and your family will have these records of you building it. You're an amazing young man, you leave me in awe.
I’ve only got two words for you young man. Wow wow you are so talented. I think if someone came to help you, they’d only be in your way lol it absolutely blows my mind. How you can do that all by yourself. Good for you young man good for you, stay safe!!!! I’m sure the cold doesn’t bother you just interrupts your production🥶🥶👍👍👍👍
Thank you vey much Jay I appreciate it!
Ya I’ll watch this instead of the Super Bowl any day
Well, I don’t know about that. The SB is over in 4 hrs or less and this will be waiting. Always great to see a new Tl&Il to watch. I don’t know anyone with a better work ethic than this hardworking young man. 😊😊
I remember when you got your first wolf. The same excitement is evident here.
The fact that you’re doing this all on your own is a true inspiration to the youth! Keep the videos coming and we’ll keep supporting them!
Try to think about the day you can sit by the fire in your new log cabin when -40 outside
Sooooo happy your new video is here! You're like family to me. You really make my day with your awesome videos. Thank you 🙏😊!!!
I remember camarata, before he got rich. His content used to be 1/2 this good! 32:58 It is not ironic at all. You have the eye, the heart, and the drive of an artist. I am renovating a 250 plus year-old French Morbier Comtoise grandfather clock. I see details no-one will ever see, but all the same I see them.
Absolutely beautiful, amazing patience and skill dealing with mother nature, love it :)
Thank you Gordon!
I’m very happy to see the progress on your dream home. Be careful and keep sharing the progress as you go.
You sir are in a league of your own ❤
Always worth the wait, your videos. You are special, it's obvious, people across the globe recognize it.
thank you very much thats very nice of you
cant wait until this is on a foundation. most amazing cabin build on youtube and you are doing it all by yourself
So glad to hear from you ..makes me feel better knowing that were not crazy for being out logging in this kind of weather. My Son and I remember how good we felt when we built our Log Home from plans that we drew up and designed. It's a feeling like no other when you walk in the entry way to our home and see the craftsmanship and hard work it took to create something so beautiful that will far out live me.... hopefully my great great grandkids will still be living here in the Mountains enjoying what we did with very little money but a pair of good brains, hard work and perseverance....
This is a labour of love that is going to be absolutely beautiful when it’s all finished.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well! The extra effort on the joints is worth it, even if nobody else knows it, because as you said - it makes you happy.
Your perseverance in those weather conditions is amazing. I am impressed ! Stay strong and keep up the great work. I cannot wait for more content but I will wait as long as it takes.
Awesome job! Your patience and attention to detail has yielded great results so far; and I imagine will carry you thru to a spectacular completion.
Thank you my friend
👍👍from millet Alberta 🇨🇦✌
I'll tell you what, and not that it matters but I'm darn proud of you! I'm sure your family is too! Great Great Job Sir!
Couldn’t click fast enough when I saw a new video from you .
Can’t believe those temperatures and still you muscled that monster frame together .
It looks awesome 💪
Thank you for uploading! God bless you!
What a result when it all fits together…and you did it in that very harsh weather.
Traplines, it’s so fascinating to watch you progress though this tough winter overcoming one obstacle after another. The result is as always - Perfection! You keep surprising with new tools and techniques. The next building will be so much easier because you have become so much wiser, and you now have many of the tools you will need. Happy you found the crane an alternator. So proud of you Traplines and as always stay safe!
Thank you Ted my friend
The boy's a genius,,😁😁
Man, I hope you have parents thst are so proud of you.I know I am, and I dont even know you..❤😊

good work!!! you have a right to be proud.
Something I never before realized about Canadians. How you guys survive up there is such a great attitude. You always find a way no matter how cold it gets.
Watching you do this under the weather conditions you are dealing with is so much better than all the crap news. Well done!
You have a right to be proud of your work. Amazing joinery.
Kyle, amazing work as always....Good News... Spring is some 40 days away (give or take)
Absolutely awesome work fella, this home is going to be a Masterpiece. You have every right to stand tall and be proud of all your work. Can't wait to see those Gable ends being put in place. ❤
So good! How does this channel not have a million subscribers??
Respect to him for building all this knowing that you have to take it all apart again. Wow.
I always end up watching until the end, even when I have other things to accomplish. lol Awesome work on the trusses. The dedication and attention to detail really show!
I’m so proud of you as a young man you’re doing such an awesome job. There’s so many young people that just sit on their butt. But you are showing how an expert works at something is important it is to you. You make me proud.
Welcome to Canada 🇨🇦 braving the elements! Keep up the good work.
Reminds me of my days on the rigs in northern Alberta. Good for young man. Great to see your back at it!
I wish you all the best and continue to congratulate you on all your progress especially working in the not so favorable conditions. Stay safe and many blessings that everything continues to go as planned for you.

Your woodcraft is impeccable. Unbelievably talented you have. Great job 👍❤️

I actually agree with you I have professional grade saws now but sometimes you have to just make do with what you got and at the time that was all I had
Congratulations can’t wait to watch the house come together and see you actually live in it.
Good to see. you Kyle ,
keep on keeping on Hugs bro.
So glad you are following advice from someone who knows what they’re talking about.
The details which your are putting into build is amazing along with the fact that you are working alone in such terrible weather. The daily driver Dodge truck is cool.
We admire you. God bless, stay safe. ❤️🙏🏻
building out in the open like that... wow.. really stunning... fantastic job you achieved there... god bless and much love... xxc
Missing, worried so happy you are still alive! Great stuff!!
As a man who was born, raised and still living in the Southern U.S., I laughed when you said when it gets to the -40s, it's just no fun. I would have hit that point way earlier. Your determination and focus is commendable. I'll happily sit under a blanket in my living room with a cup of coffee and enjoy watching you. Great job!
Absolutely amazing and outstanding workmanship my friend, looking Hella Deadly 💪🐐💯
