Received my bar today. Wow! Beautiful colors, technique and fragrance. You are definitely talented! Love it. I’m from Georgia the Peach state and we love our peaches
Perhaps it is a mixed drink of some sort. Maybe a southern concoction. Just guessing as I usually don't try those. I am a Iced Tea, girl. These are awesome soaps. The little heart peaches are so inventive and cute! Cheers 👍🤗🍑🍑🍑
Oh, we get awesome peaches from the western slope of the Rockies here in Colorado at this time of year and freeze the flesh. My great grandparents started peach trees and other fruit trees thers and now it is a hugh industry. Can't eat a raw hugh one without loads of paper towels, they are so juicy. But freeze to make cobblers, etc. Sis just told me the Jubilee is a type of peach. I hadn't thought about it. Merci! And I thought it might be a type of drink. 😂😂. Well, ya never know..... Might be next. 😄👍
BTW, love your“peachy” soap. It came out so well. The colors were perfect. Have to say that it made me want to eat peaches & cottage cheese this morning. 😁
Your soap is beautiful. I saw someone use a piece of cardboard held against the side of their mold when doing a mica line to avoid it from making messy sides. I tried it and was very happy with this simple way of having cleaner sides.
Yes, it is caught on fire like cherries jubilee! Usually with burbon or rum. I freeze peaches. And love to eat them straight off the tree. I especially love Georgia peaches! These are cute bars! I love the little heart peaches, super cute! Your color choices were spot on. The way I deal with mica lines on the side is two ways, I'm really careful to not get close to the edge and I wipe my liner with paper towel and 91 percent rubbing alcohol as I go along between layers. That way I have minimal clean up to do. When I clean the bars I use a pallet scraper and lightly take and scrape the extra mica off. I don't get the smearing your trying to avoid. I hope that helps! Have an awesome day, it's beautiful outside! Take a walk! It'll be lovely!
“The golden jubilee peach grows in sandy and well-drained soils. It is not drought-tolerant. Attributes This tree: Produces oblong, freestone fruit with soft, yellow skin blushed with red. The light yellow flesh is of the highest quality-fine-grained, tender, and juicy. It is ideal for canning, freezing, and preserves.”
@@EllenRuthSoap I had read a few cp recipes using pumpkin puree and I didn't realize there were so many different species/types 🙂 same for many fruits 🍑 and veggies
That was so creative to use hearts to represent peaches. I love the mica line even though it's a little messy. I love the way this soap turned out. Beautiful soap!❤️
O! Elllen they are darling. Love the heart as your lil’ peach and good job on two tone green. Amazing what a drop of black can do. Love to watch you and learn every time. Thank you for sharing. -Momo
I've almost watched all your videos and I was in the middle of watching one just as the notification for this video popped up 😊 glad to see a new upload! This will be fun to watch.
So cute! My husband, our 4 children and I love raw or canned peaches, peach pie, peach jam and this peach custard dessert recipe we have. So this time of year we buy them in bulk and bake and can like crazy! 😋
Hi! These bars are so cute! They look like an end of summer celebration! I love white flesh peaches, but they are hard to find here in FL.! I like to freeze peaches and make smoothies! Make a fruit salad with different berries, grapes, pineapple and peaches!
The left over mica on the sides of the soap remind me of how yellow peaches have sort of a speckled blend from yellow to orange. Cute peach hairdos 😂 I love them.
Love how the peachy 🍑soap turned out. I have learned so much from you in the past couple of months. Last night I made my first big batch in the 3 loaf box mold. It's been 8 hours now and it is still in gel phase, I imagine it takes longer to set up in that mold than just a single loaf. Not sure if it will be ready in 24 hours. Is this typical for a large batch?
Thanks! Yes, the large slab molds take a while to fully gel, but I unmold within 24 hours. Sometimes it's still a bit warm inside. There's no harm in waiting 48 to unmold if you're not sure.
Hi Ellen, can you tell me how you split your batch….I tried recently and put my numbers in soap calculator then took a calculator and divided the amounts and the numbers didn’t work out…they were only a couple of grams off but I was worried that those few grams would effect the lye, water, oil ratio. 😮. In the end, I didn’t do it and just did whole batch and then split….it worked out but not sure how it would go if I wanted to do a layer soap… can you help please? Oh and Happy Easter ❤
I get the oils (plus any additves) all mixed up, then split it how many times I want. Then I prepare the lye solution and split it the same amount of times. Then mix each layer as I go.
Hello Ellen wonder soaps show entertaining as I see it. You bring joy. I have a question what plant the colloidal oats comes from? Is It our regular quaker oats come from (don't Laugh) Anyway I can hear you chuckle! Kathy From Cali😎
The cream used to have a jubilee so it’s some type of party I don’t think it’s a dessert so she just had like her. I don’t know 70th party before she passed away 70th jubilee is really pretty and the way to get the mica off your sides is take a baby wipe wrap it around ur finger and glean the mold after each mica line before u pour the next layer. U won’t have any mess.

Your soap came out lovely, loved how you used the mica and loved how you used your 💕. Peach jubilee is a peach tree and not a dessert xx
Oh thank you! I thought it was a dessert, and am now learning that it's a type of peach❣️

I watch a lot of your videos and I love it . I was wondering what is the dimensions of your mold ? and is that the one that hold 11 lbs or 25 lbs ?
Thanks for watching! I'm using the tall triple skinny from Workshop Heritage, they have all the specs on their site.

Thank you Ellen, next time I will try that 🥰
Quick question 🙋🏻♀️ Does adding the mica between layers ever cause the bar to break at that point?
Good question, it can if the line is too thick. The trick is to get the line thin enough where the soap still adheres each layer.
@@EllenRuthSoap okay, thank you! I’ll keep that in mind.

@@sherit8594 thank you
colloidal oats are a whole (germ and whole oat) super fine ground oats. It's just an oat, nothing fancy, but it's the whole grain that is powdered.
Thank you for that schooling! Kathy from Cali@@EllenRuthSoap
