    I have two tents, I conducted experiments with 4 varieties, that’s it! absolutely 1000%! those that were grown in a tent with uva are stronger in strength than their sisters without uva! if you give it to an ignorant person, he will prove that these are different varieties)! They always work for me! and yes, the yield is smaller! choose weight or strength! I forgot to add the most important factor! Keep the temperature 20-22 Celsius no more! this also gives strength! I only have a mini air conditioner for tents! I need cold! Ultraviolet light is needed! combination!

    I use 2x15w 368nm uv bulbs from mid veg to harvest all the time on when my leds are ( In nature sun will not turn off time to time :D ), when i flip to flower i allso drop my temps to 20-23 and try to make it as dry as possible ( Not under 20% thats bad! ) I can promise if you gorw with this combo in good soil ( I use only biobizz lightmix and biobizz juices + ash ) you will get insanely sugary plants and potent af, tricome production goes thru the roof just in the first weeks of flowering.

    In the current flower cycle I'm running UVA (365-420nm) for the 2nd, 6th, and 10th hrs of the 12 hour period starting in week 6. Seems to be doing ok, I've seen no damage that I can attribute to UVA. As for beneficial results, lab testing will tell the tale. I provide samples to a lab for testing potency & terps (P&T) after every run 😊👍

      I would recommend you throw the UVA LED in the rubbish bin and get UVB fluorescent. Use for an hour a day in the last 2-3 weeks of flower. pump up the secondary metabolites. up to that point you really only need to worry about the total ppfd your getting. UVA can likened to just adding more blue light to your spectrum which could be retarding your vegetative growth. Assuming you have good spectrum already. Thats my 2 cents anyhow.Happy gardening

    I’ve done several tests with uvb with cannabis plants in flower. Here’s my take away. LED uvb lights are not effective in our tests. Our best results was with using 2 4’ 80w fluorescent fixtures hooked onto bar style led (680w) lights with proper uvb bulbs. The lights were best at 24-28” from the canopy. Here’s where it counts. Only started giving uvb for 10-15mins at the beginning of week 5 of flower right in the middle of the light cycle. Then add 5 mins every week till harvest. We had no lose of productions but our thc and terps shot up 25-30%. I.e thc would be 20% without and 24-26% with uvb. Drawback..cost for fixtures and proper bulbs are pricey. Really pricey. However, in a commercial environment, it gives a great edge.

    I use Agromax pureVeg +UV - best seed to finish out there .. also use Agromax pureUV from 6 weeks to harvest... I have a CLW uvb lamp but found it lacking in size when compared to Agromax pureUV.... I also use a growmau led booster bar from rapidled with uva, 660 red & 730 far red.. these are just the supplemental lights I run with my regular full spectrum led lights... you have to feed them differently 😅 if not they can get burnt easily or throw deficiencies when running UV. We been doing this for 15 -20 yrs with solacure or tanning bed/reptile lights.. thankfully we have better options now. Digital timers ftw , ramp up in time on duration start low and work up to 15 min increments.. really gotta know your cultivars and what the lady's like. Led is only good for uva ... UVB is only effective in florescent form atm.. the led tech just isn't there yet.

      Also I have to add UVA helps bring about a photo receptor repair type of beneficial effect.. Basically it tells your plant to grow tougher skin , kinda like hardening off.. the pigment can change in the leaves, extra uv protection & it will produce trichs as sunscreen. This is all jumbled, my apologies 🙏 but anyways, if you are going to run uvb then please run uva & shortwave blue along with it so as to have a better protective effect.. uvb is really really that powerful. There are of course different strengths of uvb bulbs and ways to run them as continuous or timed or pulsed is important as well. It is unbelievably easy to fry the photoreceptor or photon receptors on uv virgin leaves. Outside they are exposed to uv both uva & small uvb - some uvb lights have 3-6 times the amount so definitely ramp your girls up slowly.

    Get some PIZHLO 385nm LED strips and stick them around the edges of your main grow light or around the perimeter of your grow area. It may not have the same effect as pulsed UVB, but its alot safer, cheap, and an easy way to give your light spectrum more variety. The remote that comes with it allows you to dim or cycle it.

      We have the same problem, airy buds are mostly bcause of high temps. I will suggest to use exhale bags in your growroom, they will get the temp little bit lower (use at least two big bags), also your plants will be able to absorb more light, and there will be no popcorns, just solid buds top to bottom. I recommend start the bags ASAP as you get them, they need 2-3 week to start producing co2 and last about 6months from what I read. Hope this helps :)

    How often does the sun turn the UV down during daytime? Does it cycle off and on like your suggestion? Shouldn't the concept be too recreate the same light as sunlight? Far and IR red run all day long too. The difference between a plant under sunlight and one under an led spectrum is significant so I'm sure the light mfg are missing out on some parts of the spectrum recipe for sure.

    • @HappyHydro
      @HappyHydro  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@hehawkiller I run a medic grow smart 8 which are damn killer for the money, then I have a vipraspectra p1500, p2000, and a parfect 360 cob light like those optic led lights. Yup my AC Infinity controller 69 basically is like the mars hydro smart hub. What light for a 5 x 5 do you think is totally killer??? Thanks
