    SubhanAllah. When Frozen was at its peak I reverted to Islam. I did it secretly so my parents didn't know I was a Muslim, it was several months on that I started to gather the courage to tell them that I am a Muslim now, and let it go was my courage song 😅. I was like that, concealing my faith, I was acting as the good girl I was supposed to be, but inside me was my faith burning strong, so when Elsa said "Here I stand and here I stay
    Let the storm rage on" that was my line, no matter what my parents will say, I was a Muslim and there was no coming back, mind you I was a really young girl at the time. So it hits different for me Alhamdulillah.

      @@Masood-w7h well, I won't lie, it was a rocky road, parents didn't accept at the beginning, bother supported them, extended family and friends stopped contact, that was their way to try to convince me from quitting Islam, Alhamdulillah Allah gave me the courage to know that as long as I have Him I needed no one else. Eventually they accept it (my mother didn't talk to me for more than 7 years). Only one of my friends is still my friend. Alhamdulillah Allah blessed me with a pius husband who is my rock and support, he is my shield. It was very hard, very extremely hard to be cast out but I would do it all over again if I have to, my deen is worth that and more. When I was struggling I used to remember about the companions of our Prophet saw and I knew that what I was going through was nothing in comparison Alhamdulillah. Always having in mind the Aya in Surah of the spider, do you think you will say I believe and won't be tested?".

    Top 10 tips
    1) Dua...all success is from Allah SWT....every time a decision..istikhara...every time a need..salatul hajar... every time a good..salatul shukr
    2) Suhnah... Your companions...Your friends and relatives and your children's friends...around your children. Ensure children grow up in wider community. You are who your friends are. Your children are who their friends are.
    2b) Relationship with grandparents...teach.. selflessness..compassion...adab..service...look out for their needs... prioritise their care.
    2c) children having mentors who they can take advice from... teachers/shaikh they can take advice from
    3) Living with the Prophet (saw)....make the Prophet saw a living example in your children's life...refer to Muhammad (saw) give his example to introduce different things...
    Post index cards...the dua for doing different things....repeat to memorise... introduce..gently...print sunnah duas
    ...teach children Seerah ( example of prophet saw with kids, family)..and Nasheeds about Prophet saw...the Life of Perfection....1 hadith every day about Prophet (Saw)
    ...make children know/love Prophet (saw)
    child praying fajr....the last word of the Prophet (SAW)...the prayer, the prayer, the prayer. All who prayed loved the Prophet (Sallalhu Alayhus Salaam)
    4 ) Beware the dangers of don't...make your home as halal as possible...the religion of 'yes you can'...for every haram stopped..give 2 halls to children...

    In Islam, raising children on both Deen and Dunya involves nurturing them spiritually, morally, and intellectually. The Qur'an encourages parents to instill values like God-consciousness, good character, and gratitude, while the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) emphasized kindness, justice, and education in parenting. Islam teaches the importance of balancing religious and worldly knowledge, ensuring children grow up as compassionate, knowledgeable, and morally upright individuals who can succeed both in their faith and in society.

    Top 10 tips.. continued
    Have parties to celebrate when child reach specific Islamic milestones....one prayer at 7... selected...
    4a) Expose children in homoeopathic doses of TV..not banned but not over exposure....children value time spent with family...make it family time.
    Please do not allow children to be alone with internet.
    Treat internet like loaded weapon
    Teach children how to use it safely...
    At least until age 12... No cellphone/laptop in children bedrooms on their own
    5) parents talk the talk...parents practice what they preach...children are sponges...they learn from watching parents...
    Show them your ibadah..giving charity..doing good
    Child saw Father cried when he missed a prayer...this taught him more about importance of prayer than lectures. Praying on time..spending time doing Salah properly..letting children see
    Get prayer 'in the way'... rather than get prayer 'out of the way'
    6) not the bad guy but not the best friend either
    ...
    Show children...but also tell them what is expected...tell them when they need to pray... don't just show.

    There's a lot to take from this talk. I would like to add one thing here I heard somewhere and it's for all both muslims and non-muslims. Don't clap or give candies (appreciate) to your children for everything good they do. Let your children learn they have to do good anyway. More so when we try to build their relationship with ALLAH. We even have to look elsewhere just to leave that act between them and ALLAH.

      @@iwatchwithnoads7480 yeah true, but one must be very very careful when taking info from them, as they are heedless of tawheed and can instruct us to do something that seems harmless but it’s in direct contradiction with the teachings of our deen

      You can always take what is beneficial and leave what isn't. If you are unsure, ask someone more knowledgeable. Our faith will be strengthened in discovering what is beneficial for our families, and our judgement can improve when we learn about things that we don't necessarily agree with. Wishing you and your family, and our Ummah, the best.

    • @eminaticic5790
      @eminaticic5790 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@fatimahammoud9942 thank you for your reply - precisely as you said, when unsure, ask - so I asked, is it smart to be recommending these non Muslim books, as none of us really knows in these posts. In fact, if you watch some of the videos of real scholars, they will actually tell you to be very very careful when learning from other than true, Islamic, sunnah sources anything to do with how to morally behave. Of course, technology and scientific finds - sure go ahead. But something that can potentially inhibit your iman, you should definitely stay away from.

    • @fatimahammoud9942
      @fatimahammoud9942 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I completely agree with not learning morals from others not on the deen, however that is not the same as taking knowledge that is beneficial. For example, the sister mentioned a study that looked at the importance of fathers in teaching religion to their children. We apply this principle to our lives by encouraging fathers to actively teach deen to their children. There is no risk of straying from tawheed by looking at studies like this, in fact there is immense benefit. Allah sw gave all humans minds to discover and learn. When we come across knowledge that we are unsure of, that is when we ask those more knowledgeable to confirm what Islam says about these topics. Yes our values and morals should come from Islam, but our knowledge can come from any worthwhile source. @eminaticic5790
