    1. 00:15 - USIMA means "Union Sénégalaise d'Industries Maritimes" (Senegal Union of Maritime Industry) and was found in 1936 in the port of Dakar. Now it calls SDV Sénégal (shipping agents, warehousing). The letters "SD" of the car license plate - SD9929 - also may mean "Senegal, Dakar".
    2. 00:29 - "**e *ran**e de l'Afrique Occidentale" may be "Compagnie Française de l'Afrique Occidentale" (French Company of West Africa with headquaters in... yes, in Dakar)) ). And anyway Cameroon is in Equatorial Africa (not West), though it had special status in French colonial Africa till 1961.
    3. 00:54 - "C.S.T.C." on the bus means "Compagnie sénégalaise de transports collectifs". It was found in late 1940s in... what city, Daniele? )) And of course pretty girls with their hairstyles 'haute couture' and the style of dresses look like West African peoples of Wolof etc., not Duala or Fang, for example, from Cameroon.
So, this is my version about this footage.)

Thank you very much. I've corrected the title and description. Yours is the kind of comment I love more. It's very rare footage of Dakar of that period, and knowing the exact location help us saving history. Thanks a lot.
