    Great vid Mr @reefdork. We absolutely love this size nano. I really wanted to create something great for any level reef aquarist but more importantly I wanted it to have the key foundational features that would allow a pro aquarist to maintain the stability necessary to grow out a killer SPS system. I like the idea of omitting the skimmer for the roller to. Will be keen to see how that performs for you. Again great work.

    Lovely looking tank nice to see the clarisea fits!
    Love to see a pimped up mini reef build as a lower budget option.
    Great content as always 👏

    I'm looking forward to your comparison between the filter rollers. I need something small as it will be sharing the same section as the skimmer

  • @templehugo1359

    This is simple but not as simple as possible^^ . Making a deep sand bed, a heater, a light and a flow maker is more simple, no external filtration^^ but you made a nice setup I agree :)

  • @Reefkeepers_Archive
    @Reefkeepers_Archive ปีที่แล้ว

    Good luck with this tank Alex, also. Wow. Thats alot of flow for a 34 gal, I've been only running a reefwave 25 for my 120 gal tank.

  • @Coralnstuff
    @Coralnstuff ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m my honest opinion I started with a 5 gallon tank a light a wave maker a salinity tester and a couple jugs to mix water in and I would recommend it to anyone if they follow my steps I can get you set up for less than 400$ which would include some live rock and sand maybe even your first coral

    Skimmer free sounds nice, but skimmers also aerate the water. Curious to see if there are any negative effects without.

      I would like to keep it but I won't have the time and I want to move all the rock and corals over to this tank. Would have been cool to keep it but this is such a nice tank that it was too good to refuse. I'll make one last video on it soon

    Love your videos, Alex! How is this going with no skimmer? I just bought one of these second hand in awesome condition and it looks so good! I'm tempted to go down the same route as I'd also like it to be silent. I already have a Red Sea Reefmat 500.... hopefully it fits!
    I might even skip wavemakers to start with and just use the return pump for flow, snice I am only having hardy soft corals.

    • @ReefDork
      @ReefDork  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The ReefMat 500 almost certainly won't fit I'd say - it'll be too tall. But no skimmer is working great for me 🙂

    • @Philsta007
      @Philsta007 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ReefDork I also thought it would be too tall but I had a quick play last night and it does seem to fit! It takes up pretty much all the space in the main section of the sump though so it might be too bad if I want to add a skimmer later on, so I am glad to hear that it is working well for you.
