Was that Ulez Khan talking at 7.00? Buses for you, Range Rover for him... Makes you long for the 1960s. And to say 'we're replacing an ugly old area of houses shops and factories' with an inhuman concrete tower which will be crumbling in 50 years - well, architects and town planners normally choose to live in thatched listed houses or tudor manors, they never live in their own creations. Great pictures!
Yes the section comparing the old architecture with the new was very telling, so many amazing places where destroyed in the sixties, all in the name of modernisation, glad you enjoyed the film👍
Oh man, I'm only four minutes in and this is GOLD! Perfect Bus Porn! Apart from the wonderful, colourful nostalgia, there are already shots of some very rare vehicles and awesome shots of industry, a snapshot of Britain in the 60s, as it were. As lovely as the film stock looks, wouldn't it be wonderful if someone somewhere, could find the money to restore the original footage to perfect colour and upscale to 4k ?!!
@@jackflashvintagemotoring7586 And you did a fine job, it looked wonderful. That camera crew got around! Lovely to see some shots of my hometown of Swansea and the old South Wales Transport AEC single-deckers... thanks for the upload, absolutely wonderful.
@@swanvictor887 I remember this film from my early days in the TV industry, it was shown on rotation with an Australian travelogue, early afternoons, it was most likely on 16mm but the early colour sets definition wasn't great anyway so wasn't noticeable, glad you enjoyed it.
@7.19, i wonder if that Dodge Kew was one that featured in the Hell Drivers film?
Thank you Jack, pubic transport not taxing. That should be the way of the government, but blinkered leaders all parties, need to rethink the future.
Well I think that’s the first time I’ve seen Coed Ely in a film! It doesn’t look like that anymore - it’s all green fields now!
