6:10 This so-called "test" by Kosh is an early indication that the Vorlons are actually pretty brutal. Although the name "Shadows" indicates darkness, that doesn't automatically mean the Vorlons are on the side of light, which confirms they have lost their way as much as the Shadows.
Rest In Peace Mira Furlan :( Now gone beyond the rim and resting in a place where no shadows fall. I am hopeful that this great video will get a lot more views now, truly one of the best on screen TV love stories and couples. Everyone share it widely, let this go viral!
Mira, I miss you but I know that all life is transitory, as you said. And I know that you and I will meet again, Mira, in a place where no shadows fall. You gave me the power to come out in 1997. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
" I am Grey, I stand between the Candle and the Star. We are Grey, We stand between the Darkness and the Light. " - Ambassador & Grey Council Member Delenn. Well Mira, you are Light now and Shine with the Stars in the Sky. Thank you. You will be Missed and Remembered.
There have been love stories all across the small screen practically since it was invented ... but NONE are so dear to me as that of Captain John J. Sheridan of Earth and Delenn of Mimbar. Those two and what they had goes several light-years beyond "special" and into a wholly new territory ... and I am glad of it.
The full extent of the Inquisitor episode only dawns if you watch the show back to back more than once. It is such a pivotal and important moment, where John and Delenn are truly put to the only test that matters: Are they willing to do the right things? Not for power or glory, but because it needs to be done and it is the right thing to do.
3:19 "Ah but butt... butt but?" It's the little things that make you smile. Yep... yep, I can understand why Sheridan fell in love with her quite well. ^^
Depends, if Lennier told her about Londo trying to give him some lessons he thought he needed ... like what a strip club is ... or gambling! Still my favorite moment of the show.
Good God our internet is so much more advanced than the future's news paper machines. It must be one of those lost technologies that people of the future can't figure out How It's Made... like Greek Fire.
we know how to make greek fire, there were many different recipies and all work. We don't have written record from that time (probable because recipies they weremilitary state secrets). Like with opus cementitium and colored glass.
A paradox... she had started Minbari-EA war (on Minbari side), which also created by Minbari most hated enemy - the Starkiller... in the end she got in love with the Starkiller.
Not really a paradox. More like "piece placements" remember Sinclair was meant to go to Babylon 5 to travel back in time, to give birth to Delean, who was then meant to meet Sherdian. Now that's fate on overtime work 😅😅😅
I was online whilst this show was airing on TV and found the fact that newspapers still existed in the future laughable. We were already consuming news from numerous sources online even in the mid 90's. JMS was active online during the show. I wonder if the recycled newspaper concept was merely a plot device to demonstrate the Mimbari's attitude to information in a format that would be familiar to the majority of the audience, without needing to create electronic tablets with downloadable news that would stretch the budget of the show. Or, perhaps the shows creators really were blind sided by technological developments?
Although I liked the show for its realistic view of the future things like this bothered me a lot, too! But the newspaper thing isn't even the worst. They had to go to their quarters to take a personal "phone" call after being notified by the command center that there was a caller waiting for them. Some crucial information was not passed in a view episodes because certain people failed to be back in their quarter to notice there had been someone trying to reach them until it was too late.
Bill Mumy has plenty of horror stories about the Minbari getup when he was getting started; I imagine as time went on and costuming got more experienced, that the whole experience of becoming a Minbari character got less time-consuming! But not necessarily any more pleasant.
I think the biggest problem for the actors wearing the full Minbari headpiece was that it covered the ears and muffled their hearing. If I recall Furlan said that the half Minbari makeup was a lot more comfortable, although no less time consuming to apply, and that whatever they were using on the brow pieces around her eyes really burned and irritated them.
personally always thought the relationship between the two started too quickly and still doesn't make sense......but ignoring the start of the two becoming attracted to each other, than the rest of it was pretty well written and acted.
@@theodoremastermind6898 number six has to be President Clarke. We all know the suicide was staged and he is out there, downvoting positive videos about Sheridan and the Alliance.
Delenn was so much more impressive with her original Minbari shell on top. She was a really impressive Grey Council member. I loved the ending of the civil war on Minbar, when the workers got majority in the renewed Grey Council. Religion and war should be held in check by those who work and enable them. Religion is nuts and Warriors are deluded by a pseudo-honorable death wish.
The Sheridan / Delenn lovey dovey thing was one of the very very few irritants of Babylon 5, I didn't find it 'romantic' or 'sweet' I found it utterly contrived and sickly, With exception to the rushed ending, the 'lovey' bit was imho the worst part of the entire show.
While I miss B5, I know without it, we would not have had The Expanse, and so a performance like this seems like a gift from the crew of the last of the Babylon Stations - th-cam.com/video/yBFJGz5P_G8/w-d-xo.html
The Sheridan/Delenn relationship is one of the most natural and believable romances in Sci-Fi. It took its time forming and just felt...genuine.
Nothing compared to Odo and Kira.

Well ... Sheridan got a bit of a "sneak peek" as to where the relationship was going when he went forward in time to visit Centauri Prime.

May she rest in power ♥️♥️
It's absolutely infectious ❤😁
It made her look a bit cheeky. Don't you think?

Mira Furlan, As time goes by, her star will shine even brighter.
I love BB and am a big fan of his. He is quite the actor. ❤
"THIS IS MY CAUSE... LIFE. ONE LIFE OR A BILLION IT'S ALL THE SAME." Love JMS' Writing and Mira's delivery

I agree. I’ve loved them for so many years. Such amazing writing, build-up, chemistry and delivery.
I can think of another couple... Geoff and Kath Standish of "The Flying Doctors"
The episode of Jack the Ripper was 1 of this show's greatest of all!

Their love is a very slow burn, but I think it gives it more gravity.

Thank you! Greatest TV-Show ever.
I love Mira's voice when she makes those subtle changes...
If girl-next-door charm could be bottled and sold, Mira Furlan would have been independently wealthy.
Fantastic compilation much appreciated.
aahh yes..the episode where jack the ripper shows up.......nice twist on that episode
