- This is how to remove and replace the taillights from a 2014-2020 Lexus IS. This is for the Lexus IS 200t, Lexus IS 250, Lexus IS 300, Lexus IS 350, Lexus ISF. These new tail lights go all the way across the back just like the 2022 and up Lexus IS models. I also picked up carbon fiber parts and the tools on Amazon and the link will be below.

@@MTParadise I’ve watched other TH-camrs but I don’t think they ever mention the button to turn off the animation in the trunk 🤷🏽♂️ that was a plus. When I get it I might extend that on and off switch to the front. Thank you looking forward on your other vids

By far the best tutorial how to install the lights! Already installed mines, the hardest part was removing all the ficking tabs, and putting them back just to remove them cos I forgot to bolt the middle lights lol

Seeing this video until now, I had previously installed the lights on mine, but I never got a mounting bracket, so now half my camera is being blocked by the rear lights. Do you happen to have a link for the mounting bracket you had on yours so I can stick my camera out more and fit just like yours did? Or is there any other solution you can recommend?😢
Oh dang that’s unfortunate. Mine came with the lights. If you still have the packaging, maybe it’s in there still. Or maybe you can reach out to the company and let them know it was missing

Ended up using this video as a guide to install the lights, I went with HCmotion or whatever (I think they're all the same). I was wondering if you noticed any of these issues post installation...
1. The two 10MM nuts that bolt on the rear lights (7:07 in this video)to the actually body of the car does not fully tighten anymore. Just continues to turn infinitely. Additionally. Notice any gaps from then bumper from these lights
2. Do you notice the rear light bar in your reverse camera when backing up? I notice it more at night when the lights actually illuminate.
That’s weird about the bolts and gaps. I’ve never had that problem. HC Motion is the brand that makes all of these that are also sold under different names lol.
I don’t notice the light at all while backing up. It’s just as if it was stock
Having a ton of trouble getting the last screw off in the mounting bracket for the back up camera. Any tips on how you got the cabling for the back up camera off? seems impossible to take off
I don’t remember exactly as it was a while ago but I’m pretty sure I remember there being a screw that was a pain to get and I used a really small screw driver
yep eventually got it off after some pain.. sadly remounted the camera upside down so I gotta go through the process all over again loool! looks absolutely fantastic though I love how the lights ended up
@@johnguerra1100 oh dang. Yeah I really love how the lights look. My favorite upgrade so far. The axel back exhaust also was a game changer too and that was very easy to do
Prefer the BEFORE lights. Looks sharper and more aggressive. The AFTER lights look too futuristic, like some hybrid vehicles I see on the road. This is why I didn’t upgrade my 2018 IS for the new one.
I get that. The stock ones did look really good and I was debating it for a while but I ended up getting these and they look way better in person

@@MTParadise it was in the instruction booklet 🤷. Also, mine came with two yellow wires, with what maybe looks like a fuse or something in shrink wrap in the middle. I know my explanation isn't very good, lol 🤣

Link for the trunk mat? Seems like you have some rubber/plastic cover in place of the OEM mat
It’s WeatherTech (link below). The part number 40663 is the part number for the one I ordered and it’s made to fit the exact car. I also got the mat thing that clips on and can roll out over and down the bumper so you don’t damage it while loading stuff in.

I've had these for a while now. I'm trying to figure out how to have it off while the front DRLs are on. Have you figured out a way to make the taillight only turn on when the headlights are on?
Mine only come on while the headlights are on. I leave my lights in the auto setting and during the day they are off while the DRL are on. They come on when it auto turns them on but during the day if I want to show someone the lights, I have to manually turn the switch.

Excellent vid. Will definitely make this mod. Near the end of the vid (the 18:43 mark), you mention getting film for the lower reflectors. Do you have a link to that (where to purchase)? Thank you.
Below is a link for what I got and it’s been almost a year and no issues. I don’t suggest Vivvid vinyl for wraps but their headlight/taillight film is good and I’ve had no issues with it. If you check out my recent videos you can see that I still have it on the reflectors.

i have bought the tail lights is look nice but it last for 3 month the middle bar stop working, i don't know if there any way can be fix?
That’s weird. Maybe it’s a pinched wire or loose connection. Everyone I know with them, they work perfectly fine. Hopefully it’s something simple. I would trace the wires and check everything up close
Love your video bro help me alot. But I realized your taillight has a bleed light in the middle. How did you contact them to get replaced? I installed mines today and bad luck mines looks just like yours, while it's doing the Animation jump, there's a light in the middle. So mad since I was so excited for them. Now I lost interest because the little red light in the middle bothers me. Please help me .

I notice on the initial startup animation that there is a section of the light that stays on underneath the Lexus emblem. I haven't noticed that on any other sets that I've seen. Is that specific to the Amazon lights maybe? The Tanzowerkz sets I haven't seen that happen on.
I reached out to them about it and I actually got a slightly defective one. I also found out that they are all the same company that makes them. Tanzowerks actually sells the same ones from HC Motion

@@supr3me47 yeah, some of Tanzowerks Instagram posts of them, they actually tag HC Motion haha. Depending on the location of an Amazon warehouse, that might be the fastest with shipping and easy returns in case it’s damaged in shipping or anything.

Hi great video, I found the lights on Amazon, however, when I completed the "will this fit my car" section, it came back with " No, this will not fit my 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport". I do not want to place an order unless I am 100% certain. Would you be able to confirm the fitment?

Wanted to ask how these tail lights were keeping up for you? Very eager to buy but theres a decent amount of reviews regarding moisture getting into them. Have you experienced this problem at all?
I’ve had no problems at all. I clean my car all the time and I’ve never seen anything getting into them. The still look exactly the same when they were new

@@idgaftrickshotter so the company that makes these actually reached out to me to thank me for making this video with more in depth instruction but they are the company that Tanzowerks sells. Then I looked into it and Tanzowerks actually gets all their stuff from other companies and most from Alibaba (China), then they just mark it up to make a profit. They even use the exact same pictures as the alibaba listings too 😂🤦🏼♂️
That’s why I ordered my lights from Amazon because they are all the same and it had way faster ship time

Is there a specific reason why it's 2014 and up? Mine is 2013 which is when the 3rd gen launched
Oh I didn’t realize they started the 3IS in 2013. The lights and other things I’ve seen say 2014 and up so that’s why I used that. If you have the same body style, these will work

No. It only does the animation when the headlights would automatically be on. If you keep the light in the on position, it will do it when you unlock the car

Yes. It would just have the little hole on the underside but completely out of sight
Hello, I'm looking to install a rear F1 style light on my diffuser and it says to connect the wire to the Brake signal wire and Ground of my tail lights. I switched over to these tail lights. can you tell me the color of the brake wire and the ground wire?
i know on the original lights, the directions were to tap the F1 light: Ground into Black, and Power into Green and White.
Oh dang I’m not even sure. The only thing I can think of is to pull each wire out and test it. I wish I was able to tell you

That’s weird. I haven’t heard of anyone having that problem. Maybe something isn’t aligned up properly
