You can keep Canon's dust free, use an underwater camera enclosure. Not impossible just as always "It will cost you"

Make sure that slipper clutch is adjusted properly. If it's anything like the ones that come from tractor succply.. it's locked solid into spring bind and your shearing pin will be first to go

Hey Nathan, I had a question about the sawmill side for you. What kind of weight does a typical hardwood log have for a 10’ log with average “stats” and average size. The reason I was wondering is because of tractor implements, loading, and balance while driving while carrying a log.
I have never carried a log before, but when I worked at a university, we had a kubota about the same size as your red tractor 8:43 and when we had the bigger bucket on it, we had to either be very careful, or attach the box blade (heaviest 3 point implement we had) to counterbalance loads in the bucket. One guy almost flipped the kubota when he hit the mulch pile at a good clip and scooped a massive load of wet mulch. It was fine until he went to back up and turn slightly to dump into the truck; that slight turn messed up the center of gravity and started tipping the whole thing sideways. Thankfully it was 4 wheel drive and the operator was very good. He dropped the bucket and steered into the tipping so everything stabilized. I would have dumped it over for sure.
If a person was to get into the business, what size of tractor would you recommend to hit that Goldilocks zone?
I was into profesional video photography back in the '90s and you could buy jackets for cameras and a remote unit for the controls, surly you can get them for the cameras of today!

That is some pretty wood. I remember when i was young my grandmother had 3 big black walnuts in her front yard. She sold those trees to a woodworking guy for something like 5000 dollars when i was a teenager.

Great video! It's already been mentioned that a underwater housing would keep the dust out but you can also try a Altura Photo Professional Rain Cover as well. I've used it in dusty desert conditions shooting photos/videos. I've even used some of those neck gators and a couple of rubber bands to keep dust out, which surprisingly works pretty good too.
Mark Galicic's saw blade cost him $2200. It's a fairly small blade though, I think 56". He has to stop-sign anything bigger than 22". I'm not sure how far below the deck the arbor is, but I'm pretty sure it's a 56". He's forever telling us "We don't need no 60" blade"
Louis L'Amour was a great writer, probably read all his western. Excellent descriptions and historical narratives.

Something else to add to you every growing job list is to built a router based slab flattening jig. For camera setup, check up Wranglerstar's channel. I did a recent video on his ultimate content creator camera setup. It is based on an iPhone 15. I am sure it would also work with an Android phone camera.
U called it green but it was cut 2yrs ago, so it's still not dry? and I would love to know what does a board like those go for?
Look at the DJI Action series. I have one, I've beat it to death outdoors in the wind, rain, dust, grit, and grime. Still going strong and doesn't have the same heat issues as the GoPro.

I have the same nail puller but it's a lot older than yours. I got mine from my fathers collection after he passed and he got it from someone in his family before that. Works great. You can still salvage the slabs though. Nice walnut. Stay safe.
Conagher, by Louis L'amore is a double read for me. Loved all his books. A bookstore in my town went out of business and I got a full collection of his books for 25 cents apiece. Read them all and gave them to the local jail afterward. Good morals in adventure novel form.
That was one of the prettiest pieces of walnut that I have ever seen! It was downright sexy. Hit every darn shade of chocolate brown and looked good enough to eat. I feel sorry about the darn nails. Hope you and your dealer can get some good money out of the damaged slabs anyway. Yeah, walnut is my favorite wood. Can you tell? LOL!
If you can get the water proof cases for the go-pro it also should be dust proof
