Just an idea and could be way off here but don't you think there is a possibility that it was the landlord? He could easily have another set of keys so could easily get in your house, you said other people in the neighbourhood moved out quickly too as well as the people before you that lived in that house having moved out after only 2 months. The landlord would be earning money from people signing a 12 month lease and leaving early. Idk but it's a possibility, right?
