I have a beautiful vintage style skirt that i love but that has been too small for a while, im so glad I’ll be able to change out the waist and keep it
thank you - i searched for a while for a vid like this, keeping the zipper and not making it shorter! only problem i have now is that my skirt is checkered, so i have yet to find a pattern that goes well with it ^-^

This skirt was 5 cm smaller in waist, so I made it wider. You can make your skirt wider in WAIST and leave the rest measurements the same. That's what I did. The length I left without any changes.
I'm sorry. I can see what you say in the video about how the skirt is to small in the waist and how to make it wider. Which is 100% what I need. But the video shows you adding the extra length at the top. It goes from a black skirt that doesn't fit to a black skirt with colorful binding at the top that fits. I don't understand how taking out the zipper and binding colorful fabric over the old waistband gives you a wider skirt. Slightly tighter skirt maybe? *shrugs* thank you for the response but I still see it as "how to add a colorful belt to your skirt"
@@benjixkai You don't have to use this exact fabric shown in the video. You can get fabric that's stretchy that fits whatever skirt you are trying to make fit. This is just showing how it's done.
@@wanderingmiqote9606 the fabric does not matter and is not what I'm talking about. The video does not add more in the waist width wise as it claims. It adds it to the top.
@@benjixkai meant to reply to this sooner. I tried this and it 100% does work. It does add on to the waist. It does not work with every skirt however. Yes, it does at extra to the top. However, by adding more fabric it does add on to the waist. That's the whole point of sewing fabric onto the waist part, then sewing it back together. My source is having a skirt fit that didnt before.
I only speak english and can understand her perfectly, so you probably can too. And even if you can’t what do you expect her to do? Just lose her accent? There was no reason to say that.

i know it's pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good website to stream newly released movies online ?
@Van Morgan i would suggest Flixzone. Just google for it :)
Thank you for the help!! It was exactly what I was looking for.

Yes, that can be a problem sometimes. Wish you good luck with a perfect zipper 👍
Just go with one of the colours in the check pattern
Omg! I have the same issue with a patterned skirt. How did you do it?
@@thebrownivory9670 just double check everywhere, so the belt has the same measure all length long
So helpful!! Thank you so much, I'm going to try this now.

Your voice too low, your music too loud.

should be called how to add a colorful belt to your skirt. this does not up-size a skirt at all just makes it a little bit longer
