- Let's try this again - we can only use tank divisions in combat. How bad is it going to be? The division MUST contain at least 1 tank batallion and can be supplemented by mobile forces. We need to beat the Soviet Union on historical.

Hey Taureor you can now get resouces from puppets without annexing their lands with the new peace deals
I saw that but I'm not sure if it uses my trade law or the target's. Do you know?
@Taureor In theory it uses yours because you own those resources directly

Then it's probably better to be at free trade, make a puppet and buy resources
@Taureor Keep in mind that it increases autonomy and you do use one civilian factory per eighty rubber which is not a lot but still useful. Also people can trade with you for rubber and you get extra civilian factories instead
Germany starts with 80 transport planes in a wing. Thats why you needed 20 reinforcements.

Justifying war goals now add tension over time rather than at once to stop people doing exactly what you tried
5:51 For the Fate of Czechoslovakia, you get 50% compliance only if you pick the first option. Other options won't give you any bonus compliance.
6:35 Paradox seemed to have make changes about the way world tension rises when you justify manually. In the old version the world tension spikes immediately if you justify a war goal. The new current will still eventually rise the world tension to the supposed value but it rises slowly.
Yes! I’m surprised Taureor didn’t know this already. The compliance gain in Bohemia/Moravia is why the Slovak puppet is the best move. That 50% compliance is huge.

I just love this strategy so much, it reduces Bordergore, it-s beautiful on the Map and you are so much Stronger with the French Fleet.
Not only that, but you get rid of the horrendous Bordergore, You can release Czechia in only Bohemia and Moravia with a cool Reichskommissariat name, you can later annex Slovakia for their Troops and re-release them, and you can attack Poland from only the West.

Normally even a puppet government will refuse to return territory to you if it's their only gains in the war, so are you giving (land locked) Slovakia a colony somewhere to make them willing to return Pas-de-Calais and Alsace or does Slovakia actually understand what the word "puppet" means?
5:34 yeah now world tension from justifing war goals ticks up over time. I think paradox did it to patch yugoslavian cheese tactic, that let's you declare war on half of europe by 1936 (it still works, but it's a couple months slower)

I love that you never showed the supply map mode, so you were roleplaying as the Naz*s, like really, winning wars without looking at the supply map is hard, because the AI always wants to make your life harder, they blow up all the rail networks and if you don't fix it, it becomes a nightmare where you can't advance or defend properly.

Idea for a series: play each of Poland's neighbours and whatever you do, make sure Poland doesn't capitulate. You may choose any other objectives for your campaigns as you see fit.
You can actually declare on Poland and The Dutch simulataneously, tension ticks up to 20-21, so no guarantees, you can beat bith of them with like 30k guns missing, with 4 full armies. Znakomite wideo, brachu. Powodzonka😁😁😁
When puppeting the Dutch East Indies, remember to add resource rights so you don't have to use up civs!

That was a pretty good tank, but i wouldn't bother with the armor as it increases the cost so much. I would just stack more ammo storage for the cheap breakthrough.

Hey Tayreor i have a challenge for you, get romes borders at its largest extent playing any of the so called "roman succesors"
I alway try not to use a faction when I'm doing challenges, but if you want to use Poland/Romania/Hungary and so on, you might as well just make 10-15 very good tanks and roll everyone just counting on your allies to hold a line.

Infantry battle line, with elite tanks as tip of the spear sounds good. Maybe change it around IE Poland defeats Germany. Or play it from the Soviet side, win condition Soviets/russians bloc control upto the rhine. Not needed, baltics, low countries, Greece, Turkey, Italy. But everything east of that line is either Soviet or dependant.
I am a fan of just changing the government of Malaya and the Indies while taking all their resources.
You get what you want from them (a lot of free resources) and you don't have to defend them against Japan.

Hmm, I don't think only using, say, 5 inf + 5 tank divisions is feasible; it is simply too expensive.
But if we are talking beardy 10 inf + 1 SP AA divisions, then that should be possible. I mean, doing x1.4 org dmg and talking half damage in return (both org and strength) means 3 of our cheesy divisions is the equivalent of 5 normal ones, so is cost-efficient, at least with SP AA (36 vehicles needed, not 50 or 60).
Armour: Early game, putting any armour at all in your divisions should give you full benefits, even just light tanks. Mid-game, one battalion of medium or modern chassis with sloped armour + welded armour (get armour tech I) + as many pips as you can put on and still go 6.4/8/how-many-ever km/h will do well. Late game ... don't expect one batallion to benefit.
CAV or MOT? Do you have rubber and extra oil? Can your tanks/SP AA go much more than 6.4 km/h and still have decent armour? Are you moving in forest or clear terrain? Unless your tanks go at least 9.6 km/h, CAV is actually faster in forest.
It may be in your interest to start with CAV and go MOT later.
For real tank divisions, remember modern tanks are very expensive. Starting with 5 CAV + 5 MARM (riveted, 8km/h) + 1 Med SP AA (sloped+welded, 6.4km/h), and then transitioning into 10 MOT/MECH I (12/8km/h) + 10 MARM (riveted, 8km/h) + 1 Modern SP AA (sloped+welde, 8km/h) gives you almost all of the arms and armour of the modern chassis, but without the immense cost.

Taureror, I'm also not a big fan of micro. I do this for shock troops (like tanks), but properly set orders are sufficient in single player. I use field marshal order to hold a front with infantry, and army order (especially the second one, which is concentrating the attack) for tanks. And it works like a charm .
My advice (controversial) - Use field hospitals. When using orders (especially for infantry and aggressive mode) they are really viable. Not for micro or shock troops at all.

Of course sometimes you need to do micro, like when playing as Ethiopia or Portugal (Macau my day 🥲), but all majors can go with orders only.

I always thought that you were the greatest hoi4 player whole wide world. But what made you achieve your near impossible campaigns was how you used diplomacy efficently. As time progresses and game diverges from that path and becomes more combat based you lose your talents. I think you should do some mp content.
He’s by far one of the worst players actually. He plays extremely inefficient with his resources and when he just annexes his enemies completely like this was still some old version of this game before la resistance it makes my blood boil. His style is so lazy just using swaths of infantry and cheap exploits whenever he can’t be bothered to learn Core game mechanics like the navy.

If that's a reference to recent events then it's quite off. Everyone were waiting and preparing 8 years for the war (except for Shoigu).
P.S. USSR ≠ Russia, USSR was anti-russian from the start till the end (and Putin's RF as well).
The USSR was over have Russian ethically, was centrally controlled from Moscow, pulled tons of resources from the SSRs to the Russian SSR, and pushed the Russian language across the nation. It was a Russian empire with a red flag.

Most leaders/politicians of USSR weren't Russian. USSR had around 3 periods (with blurred margins) by ethnic majority in leadership:
1. Jewish majority (Trotsky, Yagoda, Kaganovich, etc) + Latvian influence;
2. Georgian / Caucasian majority (Stalin, Beria, Ordzhonikidze, etc);
3. Ukrainian majority (Khrushchev, Chernenko, Gorbachev, etc) + Moldavian influence.
RSFSR and Russians didn't have any representation throughout the history of the USSR.
RSFSR (and Belarusian SSR) had least priority in wealth distribution, THEY were milked for resources, not otherwise. Baltic SSRs and Georgian SSR had biggest priority in monetary dotations, Central Asian SSRs in agricultural development, Ukraine in industrial
Russian language was prioritized during Stalin's rule. In early USSR they had program of "indigenization", the whole point of which was to erase Russian language and cultural influence across the USSR. Stalin changed that, but not because he was Russian nationalist, but just because unitary "lingua franca" allowed better control over the country.

just a quick tip, naval invading italy can drastically speed up wars with them. even if you dont want to micro the italian ai is pretty bad at dealing with multiple fronts.
by the way. microing may be my favorite part of the game, but I think its pretty cool that paradox made a game that is enjoyable to so many different people regardless of how they want to play it.

Something i noticed while playing with railway_guns is if you want to assign them to a combined field marshal order it's best to give all your guns to one because in that plan mode the game distribute each army to the plan so if you assign them then after they move delete the order and see them you'll see what i mean. Again back to what i was saying doing like you do will make them calculate each then they would try to put them in the same spot but if there is one there already or one moves in the rest will not move until that spot is cleared but if you assign the guns for one army make sure it's the largest if there is a difference he would distribute them thousand times better but make sure to make the naval zones to avoid because they like to move the through the sea because the railway still hasn't converted yet and they capture a naval base
