I think the parent that worries about if they are being a good parent is a sign of a good parent. We want to do our best but that's not always how a day goes but, you know what, tomorrow we'll wake up and try again. We love our kids and it shows in our daily efforts and time spent with them. Sending all the love and encouragement. You're doing great.

Hang in there, B&J! I raised two (only two!) - boy & girl. That alone was stressful, but you know what? Your consistency means you love them and the girls, complete with their hormonal ranges, will love you to the end. They’ll be with you forever!

You and Judy are very fortunate to have Mel, you guys have a lot more date nights, trips and alone time than a lot of people have and that’s with you guys having five kids. I was looking back at older videos about how often the older three would be with Mama, how you and Judy would travel a lot. Things have changed now, not as much help so you guys are really feeling the stresses of raising kids. Thankfully the older girls are old enough to do a lot of things themselves but that doesn’t mean you guys are safe from the teen years, good luck 😅.

@Dogmama00 I think you’re just basing your opinions off their vlogs. We’re only seeing what they show. Losing a loved one in a family is already tough as it is, it’s something that takes a lot of time to heal from. Mama was a big part of their life. I think they’re doing an amazing job as parents. But with you saying their 3 older girls would be with Mama and how they would travel a lot, I can see that you’re being insensitive towards them. Family time and spending time together as a married couple is just as important as being good parents. I think it’s awesome that the girls got to spend a lot of time with Mama. Remember they’re human beings and they have needs too. Yes they are fortunate to have family to help them but that doesn’t mean it’s okay for you to point out things about them like they have more date nights or etc than other people. It just seems like you are projecting and comparing yourself to them as a parent. Sure, we may have similarities in life but you will never be the same parent as them. Their vlogs only share some parts of their life on TH-cam but it’s not everything. At least give some parenting advice instead of saying they aren’t safe from teen years. I think they raised very good girls and anything you think that could happen in their daughter’s “teen years” is honestly none of your business. Not all parents struggle or aren’t “safe” in their kid’s teen years. Just please be nice and respectful. We’re all learning through life just as they are as parents.

as a daughter who's had talks with her dad about me and my sibling's childhood, i think you worrying about whether you're doing a good job is normal. my dad told me he wondered about that too, and it just made me so emotional lol... because i never questioned whether or not my parents were good parents. i know they are. we didn't have every material thing that my parents wanted to give us, but what i remember was the quality time we spent with our family
would it have been better if we got more on-brand barbies? more gameboys? i don't think so haha

The fact that I was watching yesterday’s vlog while feeling like the worst mom ever. My baby fell off the bed and I cried for four hours. You and Judy were talking about how parenting is hard, and how parenting was one of the topics that your pastor was preaching about and you felt so proud yet you’re also learning. I felt a sense of relief because I’m a stay at home mom and I’m currently 6 months pregnant. It’s just a lot right now, so thank you so much. 😪🥲😩🥹🥺😞

As someone who doesn’t have a relationship with their dad, I now know how much that’s affected me growing up and even today, as an adult. Parenting is definitely a balance. I have an 18 (boy), 15 (girl), 11 (girl), they have taught me as much as I have taught them. What i have found is kids are people too and they want to be seen and heard no matter what age. You have a wonderful family and I truly enjoy watching your content as well as Judy’s. Benji, you and Judy are amazing parents!! You guys are the reason why I’m excited to be a parent one day. I am taking a lot of notes for myself and my future kids. I hope to be great parents like you guys. Yes I’m sure parenting can be difficult and stressful but I think it’s safe to say that it’s just part of parenthood. Don’t be so hard on yourself. I think one of the most important things you both do as parents is that you are doing the best you can for your girls and yourself. I know one day they’ll look back and say they had the best parents in the world for them. No other parents will ever be comparable. Something I always cherished with my parents were the quality times and the way they showed me love such as simple gestures like giving me a plate of fruit. I’ve been watching you guys since your wedding day. I love watching your family vlogs and they bring me so much joy. I just wanted you both to know that I see how hard you try to be good parents and you both are definitely doing an awesome job! Much love ❤️

I only have 2 kids 1 girl 25 and 1 boy 21. I couldn’t imagine having more than just those 2! God bless you both continue to give you patience. Even with my kids being adults now I still make mistakes! It doesn’t get easier it just changes imo. I still loose sleep over my adult children. IMO it’s easier to shop without small children. It’s cute to shop with them sometimes not all the time. Its ok to take time out alone to reset and do something you find joy in doing without any kids.

Thank you Benji for being so honest !! I am dealing with this right now. I just had a baby 2 weeks ago and it’s been difficult transitioning with 2 kids now. My oldest who is almost 5 has had a difficult time. And me not spending the time I used to with her does not help. She’s been acting out more and I haven’t been patient with her like I should. But like you said there is no perfect parent we continue to learn and grow. And the most important thing is always speaking life into them especially to end the day !

I have 2 under 2 don't really have family support it's really hectic on some days especially when my hubby is at work or has to go away for work. I feel this a lot… I have two step daughters (12 & 15), and then we have two little ones (5 & 18 months). We have no family support where we are, it is just my husband, myself and the older girls mum who lives here, so the three of us rely on each other to survive this parenting gig 😅 my husband and I are lucky to work for the same company both in high/flexible positions, so we can make it work mostly. But when you get hit with sicknesses, no sleep, you just can’t catch a break!!

I know it isn’t easy being married and not getting a long at times either. Marriage isn’t all peaches and all roses. There are so many blocks in the road. After all, you both love each other at the end of the day. Keep your chin up and know that there is love that fills your families cup and to remember that there is a lot of good days and a lot of bad days. It is what you make it.

First....there are no perfect parents because there are no perfect people. Just so you know where I am coming from...I have 4 kids....when I had the 4th one my oldest was almost 5. Now my youngest is 34. Looking back I can see where God helped me raise them. I prayed a lot. I felt like you that I wasn't doing a good job but I am confident that I did the best I could at the time. I have matured since them too. I think being firm but gracious is important as a parent. You are the parent not their friend. Their feelings in the discipline times are secondary. They need to learn to mind and be respectful regardless of their feelings. Some children need a little more firmness too. Leah might fit into that....like the poopoo comments to others. Keira said she didn't like it when she was washing the car. I think you are doing a good job from what small amounts I see and hear in the videos. Trusting God and faith in His leading is key. One day, one moment at a time. 😀😀😀

There’s no perfect parent. You don’t need to be a perfect parent as long you take care of them, teach them to be a good person and respect others.

No parent can be perfect because we are imperfect humans, when my kids were little I asked them individually what can I do to be a better Parent for them. That helped me out a lot ❤️❤️
