I'm from Ontario and have a 2015 xt 1000 commander and had very same thing happen. Only problem was that in 2015 the bushings are different from one machine to the next. Just got my rack back from Dave and couldn't be happier with the finished product. Now to get it aligned and we head for Hatfield McCoy trails on Friday.
Sask Trail Riders yeah I sent it to Dave from super daves. Just a heads up a buddy of mine has a rackzilla and you might have the same bushing issue as factory depends on how you ride. Buddy sent his to Dave for custom bushings
I just seen this video. I dont commander but after fiddling with my Grizzly 660 for many years now, Ill say that there is no point in botching a repair, just go ahead and do what you gotta do. I just spent $500 bucks on front brake and driveshaft components because if i don't, the new parts I put on will be worn out in a month or so. Gotta do things right if we want them to last.
Without it being staked somehow it will work back out. Too bad they didn't just make a threaded cap for the end. Maybe you can make something like that that can be clamped up on the shaft
Hopefully that part number helps. But I now know there is no way to short cut this repair. To do it properly you need to remove the rack otherwise there is no way of securing the new bushing in. Mine fell out an hour into my last ride. Good luck!
If mine ever goes bad I’m just gonna make me a brass bushing to put in it, do away with that stupid plastic crap, that’s just a money scandal from can-am.

We are having the same issue with our 2018 commander. Would love to know ways to keep the bushing in
How did you loosing that nut off to get bushing out? I can't get any wrenches in there
Try a little rtv silicon adhesive, that should keep it in place

Wondering how the rackzilla was holding up?
I made a bushing from pvc pipe, then put epoxy on the outside and peened the end, stays in and does not wear out.
How did this work out?
What’s the size of pvc pipe used ?
Think I might do that if I have anymore issues
U took it out but u didn't show how u took it off .
Did u figure out how I'm trying a pipe wrench?
yes I have a 2011 commander xt and my bushings r going out too
