Lal has been playing with renowned Irish fiddler Winifred Horan, part of the Irish supergroup SOLAS, for nearly 5 years and has performed with her on several tours and gigs on the east and west coast of america, including recording for Horan's latest album 'The Memory of Magic'.
Utsav Lal is recognised for his extensive work and cross-cultural collaboration with Irish & Celtic musicians and moving to Ireland from an early age in 2006 has resulted in a long and deep relationship with this music.

Superb. Hope (and pray) someday to be able to see Winifred again in a live concert.
Saw her first several years back at a SOLAS performance here in Dallas - wow, I was mesmerized by/the music and her talent.

Winnie you've been my fiddling idol since 2001; I was 15 and I approached you before your gig in Reston, VA! Haha, I just had to say hi and give thanks for the inspiration!
