@Alistair I personally think it has changed... for the better. Instead of being robots and having the same mechanical sounds and just singing about whatever, companies are allowing their artist to do what they want. To experiment, to send positive messages to youth, etc. They are becoming true artists, not just idols. This song is actually very empowering so... It's not just about "music", look deeper and see the messages artists try to convey.

Alistair the message of this song is saying ‘wear or do what you want instead of wearing or doing something that society says is cool and in trend.’ They are pretty much saying instead of trying to fit in with society standards do what you like and what you are comfortable with.
Also you’re saying that they are wearing and doing things that they are saying no to in the song like their being hypocrites, well this is Kpop, every girl group wear makeup, high heels, and earrings because it’s part of their job to look presentable for their fans and the public.

Exactly. They are all getting healthier when idols get skinnier after debut. Especially seungyeon, Yujin, elkie who were really skinny when they debuted. And sorn and seunghee were a bit chubbier before but lost their baby fat and they have amazing healthy looking bodies now.
