OMG thank you lady honestly. My shelving is a little different and the instructions I swear were written by someone who has never put a shelf together in their life. You have helped me in so many ways. I'm a 62 year old female who is putting this together on her own. Bless you.
😊 We are very glad that the video was helpful to you. Here you have the link to our website with more updated information: www.ar-shelving.com/metalic-shelves/metal-shelves/ Once again, thanks for your support. Best regards from the AR Shelving team.
I've worked with this material for decades. Although it is good to recommend that using a 13mm socket set & ratchet wrench, I still would have reservations in compliance with health & safety across the globe about good working practice. The young lady needs highly flexible work gloves worn for this work. If you going to place fish tank onto such shelving, THEN place corner plates on EACH side of the corner. Your shelves will lock from lateral shifting (something found rather useful in quake zones, I am told!). Certainly, I have always speeded up production times, by using either a rechargeable battery powered impact wrench OR basic battery powered drill driver. (You can find a decent 13mm socket to fit the drill driver on Ebay). If you need to increase or factor in the load capacity of the shelving, usually going for the heavier, stronger (wider) types of slotted angle will suffice with CONNECTOR PLATES, rather than corner plates as seen here. But use should use nothing less than Dexion 225 & 260 specs for this increase in load bearing capacity. The numbers are merely DECIMALISED Imperial (Inches) measurements of the width of the slotted angle being used. E.g.: 140 = 1.4 inches, 160 = 1.6 inches, 225 = 2 1/4 inches (or 2.25 inches), 260 = 2.6 inches & 345 = 3.45 inches. For those that have never heard of this last specification, it comes in a square C shaped profile & would be for VERY SERIOUS heavyweight shelving, chassis frames or even mezzanine floor/bridge construction, such as a Dexion bridge for puppeteers involved with the production of the 60s Gerry Anderson TV series Thunderbirds. But for other lighter shelving projects, it would make good practice (& real common sense) to fit at least 2 shelves with corner plates on both faces of each corner. Maybe top & bottom shelves, but one in the middle also for good measure! This would counter the lateral forces that would distort & destroy the structural integrity & capacity of the shelves, IF not resolved just after erection was nearing completion. Get these problems sorted at these early stages & save yourself hassle with nasty insurance claims later. Health & safety, flexible work gloves (if you can use a pen properly with them, then they are suitable for this work!), eye protection, kneeling pads, but don't forget your tootsies either! Cover'em with steelies!

If you use corner plates on the top and bottom shelves and 2 bolts per corner are the side and rear braces not needed?

I do not know how are exactly those fish tanks, although shelving supports 100 kg of load per shelf uniformly distributed. :D
