As someone who also survived an emotionally and psychologically abusive ex-girlfriend, I want Mr. Depp to win this one. Like him, she also used my past trauma to gaslight me, and psychologically break me. After that I really sunk into depression and self-loathing. I hated that I could not speak at the time about what I was going through knowing that most people dismiss and laugh off stories of abuse if it was a man telling it. Until today I am still trying to fix myself and my relationship with my family that took a toll. Ignorant people will tell me, "Oh you are just being a wuss, why did you just not get up and leave!". A person who never experienced being trapped in a prison built inside your head would never understand. Truth is, I am not even looking to find another romantic relationship again. I have accepted ever since that I am way too damaged to even handle one. I just want to fix my relationship with my family, and of course for society to start thinking more progressive. Women too are very much capable of abuse, and Men can also carry permanent scars out of that. May you get your justice Mr. Depp the way most of us never really do.
