What a neat and lovely job you have done of this project! I ordered a military FPO supply package from USPS to send my son a package before the holidays, and it had a bunch of those same type sticky back clear label protectors. I didnt end up using them, but they seemed too good to chuck so I saved them thinkin I could find a use for them...and here it is!
WHile I don't have a Cinch machine, I may take it to Kinkos and have them bind it for me, I used to make "books" for my children when I was homeschooling them back in the day and they would punch and comb bind them for me. Worth checking into.....

This is a brilliant idea! I've been wanting to make label storage book, but I didn't want to sew the strips - this makes it so much easier. I also appreciate the links. I always learn so much from you, Sharon.

I have watched a number of ephemera storage videos and I’m so glad I came across yours. Those label pockets are a game changer in my book and I also love the simplicity of the Cinch binding. It looks like you have plenty of room on those rings to fill up your book. Well done! If I can’t find the right sized book cover I can always use chipboard so I like that too. Thanks so much for all of your tips and clear instructions.

This is such a great idea!! I have made a few ephemera books the old way and I have been constantly trying to figure out an easier way than sewing the acetate sheets. I have even started picking up small photo albums and trying to use those pockets but haven't found the "recipe" yet that I like. This is definitely something I will try!

This is so much easier than gluing or sewing the pockets like I’ve done previously. I have a comb binder and hadn’t thought of using it to bind epherma holders. This would be brilliant for making these holders! I have been putting off making them until I found an easier faster solution. Using these stick on pockets is a game changer. I’m looking forward to making it now. Also, love your idea of using folded card stock, the inner protective page, tabs, and having a nice visual book end page too. You’ve thought of everything. Thank you!

Love the way this turned out. I am using a small three ring binder and it’s fine, but I like the way the type of binding you used is flat. My local office supply can do that type of binding. Alternatively, I have several old sketchbooks with this spiral binding that could work.
BTW, your journals are so inventive and beautiful. 💕

Thanks for reminding me about the smaller sticky pockets. I'll have to order them. I'm using the next 2 sizes up for other pieces, even taller tags, etc. I don't make the pages though. I use thrifted self-stick 3 ring picture binders. The binders are old and no longer have "stick". The pages are very sturdy, and the plastic pockets stay put.

    • @SharonHoerth

Thanks Jamie! I bought one pack of 60 of the small and one pack of 36 of the large. That was exactly the amount I needed for my 12 pages. For the small ones I used 5 labels on the fronts and 5 on the backs of six pages. For the large ones I used 3 labels on the fronts and 3 labels on the backs of six pages. 🌷😊
