this is what i really wanted from the start. seeing a real time battle, not just small scene and we play the fight. we can see how each character ability in lore, and see their power scaling. like how honkai has its own shorts that always amaze me. its good if genshin has its own short, but seeing this scene already makes me happy

Lore Bennet is amazing, Varka was pretty impressed with him and my boy can heal attack and buff at the same time... Not even the 5 stars can do so much and he is pretty dang young, he's just the unluckiest person alive
New player can actually experience this event. Since it only requires you to be AR 20, Finish Joel's quest, Albedo's Quest and Archon quest Prologue Act 2(which ends with meeting Dvalin in Starsnatch Cliff).
All I'm waiting for is that moment when the traveler snaps and that epic honkai style music plays in the background as they officially ascend to the next level of seriousness in Genshin impact.
we're already seeing bits and pieces of the traveler's patience and stable demeanor wearing thin. for example, unlocking the traveler's full fledged rage when facing scaramouche in omnipresence over mortals. as an aether main, i cant wait to see him snap.
I love how the first thing Eula does is protect Amber. This shows how deep their relationship is as friends. And the scene where Amber and Bennett immediately joined the fight without asking anything. If this were a regular Shounen Anime, each character would be asking a lot of questions and we'd have hours of useless talking before we could enjoy a fight that only lasts a few seconds.
1:47 This is the one of the difference between the cutscenes, Lumine's face is more relieved and quite surprised while aether is more defensive and alert, he's trying to read the situation. (Unrelated) this ties into my headcannon that Lumine is the offensive twin and Aether is the defensive twin 1:24 (thank you Raisha for pointing it out) This is another difference that proves my headcannon that Lumine is the offensive and Aether is the defensive one. the way they both hold their swords are different. Aether hold his sword in a defensive position while Lumine on the other hand is not - shows how Lumine is a bit more carefree when it comes to fighting because she's used to her brother protecting her blind spots.

This is probably one of my favorite scenes, the scene where Albedo stabs the imposter. Like if you think about it, it's it's first time you see someone get stabbed in Genshin. Hope we get to see more dark themes in Genshin
Fake Albedo is an absolute badass. The dude is full on aggressive and pushes the characters. He even manages to hold his own against everyone by being able to dodge and see their attacks coming.

After inazuma's arc started off as amazing as Liyue ended, but then fell down completely in it's storytelling I had zero expectations for this event. Labyrinth Warriors was great, but focused more on nice gameplay so we can't say much about the cutscenes. When this event got announced I was just happy to see dragonspine and Albedo again, but BOI DID THEY GO ALL OUT. I did nto expect mihoyo to put a scene where someone gets stabbed right throghh the chest into their game. Game has a lot of hidden, dark undertones within it's lore or what's being said to you, but this time they went all out. On top of it the engine got so much better when it comes to movement and facial expressions it's crazy. We're starting to see so much small details within character's faces and movements. I was a casual fan of albedo, but NOW HAHA-

I know right. Exactly. Reminded us once again how wonderfully detailed some of the characters are, and highlight their unique personalities. To me this is another whole dimension not only of epic looking stuff but also a reminder why I enjoy the game, which is the characters stories and development and not only pure gameplay numbers. I think this quest highlight just how memorable some of the pre inazuma saga are, and totally delivered when it comes to adding to the mystery and justifying it filling with great lore that is believable to the characters.. (I always felt albedo has more to his personality and depth) I couldn’t help feeling a lot of inazuma is less human, less interesting and more bland compared to other characters. Even Amber was likeable here just as the others and I enjoyed seeing this gang
Killing hilichurls is perfectly understandable. They absolutely hate humans and do not hesitate in killing one at first sight, so i'd say to hell with them. Fatui is a little bit trickier because they are also human beings like us, but again, they do not hesitate in attacking my party at first sight, so to hell with them too lol.

She cautions you to be careful, though, as they fear that you may attack them. And they do not "absolutely" hate humans either, as the actual hilichurl attacks in game are led by -Lumine- the Abyss Order

@@kiyomi_kamimoto I'd saying running around and doing all that is easier while dizzy than shooting an arrow. With a bow you need quite a bit of strength as well as focus to hit your target, if you've ever gone to the shooting range while hungry and tired you start to feel dizzy while shooting and your aim is way off, especially if you're somewhat untrained. Amber is a beast. Bennett is too but we can't dismiss Amber that easily.

I think Albedos lore is my favorite in this game and this event was absolutely amazing! I also wasnt expecting those cutscenes, the battle with the whopperflower had me so hyped and was definitely my favorite :DD I have been super excited to see more of Albedos lore since the first time we saw him at dragonspine. Was starting to get a tad worried though since we havent heard anything about him in ages. This event was a nice surprise and is the first time I've really been excited to play Genshin in a while
I think that it's really cool how Mihoyo made Lunime and Aether's sword techniques just a little different. For example, at 1:13, Aether's sword hand goes behind him, but Lumine keeps hers in front of her body. Just thought those tiny details between the twins was cool.
We can already listen to a lot of dialog from certain storylines it would be amazing if Miyoho upgraded it so can view cutscenes because I would rewatch this one all the time.
Is it only me but seeing both Aether and Lumine side by side like this feels like they are actually in the same cutscene together, and I love it so much Im gonna cry 🥺🥺
I absolutely love these cutscenes, personally one of my favourite events so far story wise. I also really love the small differences that give Lumine and Aether their own personality
The animation in these scenes was absolutely stunning! I was really impressed. The perspectives and camera angles in combination with the choreography were really well put together. *chefs kiss
Bennett has a really good weapon. I maxed it. And only used that on my main (traveler) just because it heals in combat. I only switched it when I got a 5 star sword that also heals in combat. I like healing in combat. Too bad we don't have a more reliable lifesteal mechanic.
Honestly, with how most of the healers on this game heal on hit, a lifesteal would be the same thing but with different scaling (instead of "the more def/hp/atk the character has the more it heals", would be "the harder it hits the enemy the more it heals", so critical damage and elemental bonuses could count). Tho more items that heal the wielder would be cool for solo challenges, the game has 4 slots for a reason ;u;
If you stop at 1:35 in 0.5x slow speed you'd see the subtle differences in Aether's and Lumine's expression. Aether looks determined to fight with the clenched teeth (giving off a big brother vibe to Paimon) while Lumine's lips are pressed closely more like a protective stance knowing the outcome of battle (?). At 1:46 They basically have the same mouth movement but Lumine holds her hand to her chest looking worried, her brow arch tip isn't prominent but you can see it moves up showing her shock and surprise. Aether's brow arch tip is prominent showing shock, questioning(?) and worry at the revelation. I think his eyebrows make him really expressive which I really like while Lumine is subtle in her facial expressions. The movement of their irises are basically moving at the same pace but the latter part shows a bit of movement in Lumine's eye probably due to it being smaller compared to Aether's big doe eyes. Funny considering how most see Lumine as the hardcore twin who is kinda cold and Aether as the soft twin who is really warm but I think both siblings have a diverse way of expressions open to interpretation.
to be fair on the 'lumine hardcore cold twin, aether soft and warm' take, their characterization on the 'we'll meet again' quest are VASTLY different, at least in the english dub. abyss!lumine sounds way colder and more detached than abyss!aether does, which is probably part of why people tend to see the twins' personalities being like that. but yeah, it's fascinating to see the little details and microexpressions mhy manages to put in their cutscenes
I think the "cold Lumine/warm Aether" trope isn't very accurate if we only base ourself on their Abyss role. Lumine sounds indeed cold and Aether sounds more tired, but this is because they lived what the Abyss twin role had made them live. As the Traveler, they both have the same dialogue options, so if there's a "sassy" Lumine, there's a "sassy" Aether. If there's a "sweet" Aether, there's a "sweet" Lumine. The only accurate notable differences we can do between them as the Traveler is how they move and react, but again, Lumine doesn't seem more "cold/sassy/harsh" than Aether, just more "feminine" and subtle, while Aether doesn't mind how he looks to others and let himself move and react as he feels, making him look more "masculine".

I love these details MiHoYo adds in regards of the MC chosed: 1. When Rubedo (Whooperflower Albedo) gets stabbed and Paimon covers her eyes and goes behind MC; Lumine has a serious/calm face, Aether has a serious/"angry-ish" (idk how to explain) face 2. And when Rubedo falls; Lumine has a with-so-many-questions/relived face, Aether has a incredulous/still alert face. 3. (As someone pointed out) In the short scene, before Rubedo gets stabbed and is about to do another cryo attack, Lumine's her sword is down while Aether's is up, already preparing himself if the fight continues.
Their the same speed. Aether vedio starts a little later. I also painstakingly watched it in 0.25 there's a clip where the flower albedo starts attacking. Aethers clip stays black longer then female mc clip starts before the other clip.
Mihoyo just got better and better in their animation, the Inazuma archon quest was really well animated too, so this will probably stay permanent and eventually get better :)
I always love the way they make subtle differences between the twins, wish they put more effort in making their respective personalities different though.

Did no one pay attention to the last cutscene? Evil Albedo is still roaming Dragonspine. This Whopperflower was his way of trying to catch Albedo’s attention and/or exterminate him. Although yeah… my reaction when the Whopperflower popped out was “🙃”.
I hope mihoyo bring back the story line of all the event even without the rewards because it feels like new players such as myself who missed the past event like lantern rite missed out a lot.

@@kiyomi_kamimoto I'd saying running around and doing all that is easier while dizzy than shooting an arrow. With a bow you need quite a bit of strength as well as focus to hit your target, if you've ever gone to the shooting range while hungry and tired you start to feel dizzy while shooting and your aim is way off, especially if you're somewhat untrained. Amber is a beast. Bennett is too but we can't dismiss Amber that easily.

I think Albedos lore is my favorite in this game and this event was absolutely amazing! I also wasnt expecting those cutscenes, the battle with the whopperflower had me so hyped and was definitely my favorite :DD
I have been super excited to see more of Albedos lore since the first time we saw him at dragonspine. Was starting to get a tad worried though since we havent heard anything about him in ages. This event was a nice surprise and is the first time I've really been excited to play Genshin in a while
I think that it's really cool how Mihoyo made Lunime and Aether's sword techniques just a little different. For example, at 1:13, Aether's sword hand goes behind him, but Lumine keeps hers in front of her body. Just thought those tiny details between the twins was cool.
We can already listen to a lot of dialog from certain storylines it would be amazing if Miyoho upgraded it so can view cutscenes because I would rewatch this one all the time.

When I watch this video with VR goggles for smartphones, it looks like Lumine is dressed as Aether.
I absolutely love these cutscenes, personally one of my favourite events so far story wise. I also really love the small differences that give Lumine and Aether their own personality
The animation in these scenes was absolutely stunning!
I was really impressed. The perspectives and camera angles in combination with the choreography were really well put together.

Bennett has a really good weapon.
I maxed it. And only used that on my main (traveler) just because it heals in combat.
I only switched it when I got a 5 star sword that also heals in combat.
I like healing in combat.
Too bad we don't have a more reliable lifesteal mechanic.
Lifesteal not necessary in rpg games, if you had lifesteal you dont need a helaer

Honestly, with how most of the healers on this game heal on hit, a lifesteal would be the same thing but with different scaling (instead of "the more def/hp/atk the character has the more it heals", would be "the harder it hits the enemy the more it heals", so critical damage and elemental bonuses could count).
Tho more items that heal the wielder would be cool for solo challenges, the game has 4 slots for a reason ;u;

If you stop at 1:35 in 0.5x slow speed you'd see the subtle differences in Aether's and Lumine's expression.
Aether looks determined to fight with the clenched teeth (giving off a big brother vibe to Paimon) while Lumine's lips are pressed closely more like a protective stance knowing the outcome of battle (?).
At 1:46 They basically have the same mouth movement but Lumine holds her hand to her chest looking worried, her brow arch tip isn't prominent but you can see it moves up showing her shock and surprise. Aether's brow arch tip is prominent showing shock, questioning(?) and worry at the revelation. I think his eyebrows make him really expressive which I really like while Lumine is subtle in her facial expressions. The movement of their irises are basically moving at the same pace but the latter part shows a bit of movement in Lumine's eye probably due to it being smaller compared to Aether's big doe eyes. Funny considering how most see Lumine as the hardcore twin who is kinda cold and Aether as the soft twin who is really warm but I think both siblings have a diverse way of expressions open to interpretation.
to be fair on the 'lumine hardcore cold twin, aether soft and warm' take, their characterization on the 'we'll meet again' quest are VASTLY different, at least in the english dub. abyss!lumine sounds way colder and more detached than abyss!aether does, which is probably part of why people tend to see the twins' personalities being like that. but yeah, it's fascinating to see the little details and microexpressions mhy manages to put in their cutscenes
I think the "cold Lumine/warm Aether" trope isn't very accurate if we only base ourself on their Abyss role. Lumine sounds indeed cold and Aether sounds more tired, but this is because they lived what the Abyss twin role had made them live.
As the Traveler, they both have the same dialogue options, so if there's a "sassy" Lumine, there's a "sassy" Aether. If there's a "sweet" Aether, there's a "sweet" Lumine. The only accurate notable differences we can do between them as the Traveler is how they move and react, but again, Lumine doesn't seem more "cold/sassy/harsh" than Aether, just more "feminine" and subtle, while Aether doesn't mind how he looks to others and let himself move and react as he feels, making him look more "masculine".

Not only it will help you understand the characters even more but also understands what lies deep in the story plot itself! And who knows maybe you'll encounter some secret rooms along the places you explore :D

I love these details MiHoYo adds in regards of the MC chosed:
1. When Rubedo (Whooperflower Albedo) gets stabbed and Paimon covers her eyes and goes behind MC; Lumine has a serious/calm face, Aether has a serious/"angry-ish" (idk how to explain) face
2. And when Rubedo falls; Lumine has a with-so-many-questions/relived face, Aether has a incredulous/still alert face.
3. (As someone pointed out) In the short scene, before Rubedo gets stabbed and is about to do another cryo attack, Lumine's her sword is down while Aether's is up, already preparing himself if the fight continues.
Their the same speed. Aether vedio starts a little later. I also painstakingly watched it in 0.25 there's a clip where the flower albedo starts attacking. Aethers clip stays black longer then female mc clip starts before the other clip.

Did no one pay attention to the last cutscene? Evil Albedo is still roaming Dragonspine. This Whopperflower was his way of trying to catch Albedo’s attention and/or exterminate him. Although yeah… my reaction when the Whopperflower popped out was “🙃”.
