These videos are super helpful for understanding how a product line works and fits together. I wouldn't have purchased one of these notebooks without this video, because I didn't understand what was what. Now I want several! Thank you :)
Can’t recommend these enough. I bought the smallest ringed one from jet pens on a whim during a stationary order for only a few dollars and it is amazing. The cover is sturdy, the rings are durable and the pad is flexible. I was able to keep it with me In my pencil case for a whole semester with no durability issues. What’s more, it holds Lamy black from my twsbi eco ef WITH NO BLEED and VERY little ghosting. I can write on both sides of a page with no issues at all. Incredible considering the paper thickness and price. I’ll definitely be adding a few of the larger sizes to my cart next time!!!
Used nearly every style and can vouch for their super-high quality and FP/sketching friendliness. The A4 Imagination in graph is a STEM major's best friend. Landscape orientation is the best thing that ever happened to a math student. I could do long problems on one line, or at least fewer lines, without losing track of where I was in that problem. The paper can stand up to graphing equations and the erasures that come with that for accuracy. I could also use that title bar to announce what, exactly, I was doing and why, with plenty of room for reference pages or other important info. The blank pages were great for adding handouts, brainstorming, or just plain doodling during a slow moment in class. And that off-white color is easy on the eyes. When you're spending hours staring at paper, the last thing you want is eye-strain from blinding white staring back at you. I do miss the smaller specialty Word notebooks they've done over the years. One was card stock paper on a ring that my artist aunt adored for swatches and watercolor miniatures. I used them as flash cards for Japanese. The Foreign Word book was awesome for studying kanji and other vocab words on the go for my Japanese classes. I wish both were still available, because I loved them to pieces. My husband is a big fan of the itty bitty A8 notebook for his work, which often involves taking down quick measurements for displays he's building for client presentations, They were also handy for short lists or reminders. He usually has one in his pocket, another in his modeling kit and a couple more as spares in his briefcase.
I am in love with the Mnemosyne line. I use the 192 B7 daily. So much so that I bought a leather cover and the traveler's pen holder to make it a complete unit. My lamy 2000 ballpoint is my favorite pairing with this notebook. The paper is the highest quality I have ever used. Silky smooth and perfect for fountain pens, even a European medium without any bleed through or feathering, though I always use the lamy ballpoint. To worried about misplacing my fountain pens at work. By this brand and if its your first time buying quality paper you will never go back to basic ever again
I love these things, particularly the top spiral B6 Memo (196A). They pack an excellent balance between being small enough to conveniently carry, and large enough to hold a lot of writing. The paper is well behaved with every pen and/or pencil I've used on it, and even withstood a few spills - the only damage being to my non-waterproof fountain pen notes! The front cover protects it well, and the back is stiff enough to make using them while you're carrying them handy for note-taking on the go, or simple grocery lists. I stocked up on them last time I made a Jetpens order, heh...
I just received the 182 and the lavender Uni Kuru Toga .5mm and have been writing in the notebook. I love both so immensely and think they complement each other so well. I haven't used a pencil consistently in over 20 years, but I can't believe how amazing this pencil feels, especially on such quality paper. Also tried the pencil on the Rhodia A4 and it's just as smooth. I love the design of the Mnemosyne notebook--strong, well-crafted and calming. My whole office is very colorful, my business is very colorful, so the executive classic look to me is very attractive and provides so much focus. Top bound binding is preferred.
I happened to come across one of these in a bookstore in New York, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love! I have the basic A5 one, and it’s perfect for class notes. I use the uniball signo dx in 0.38, and it glides so perfectly and dries super quickly. 😍 I definitely need to get my hands on more of these!
Ali i think the bookstore she’s referring to might be Kinokuniya because they have ALOT of Japanese stationery there it’s crazy. I’ve been there a lot of times and they do have all those Japanese notebooks there
Camila C., on 41st and 6th, yes, I've been there three times. I remember displays of notebooks downstairs but don't recall Maruman Mnemosyne. Perhaps I'll call to inquire. Thanks for the fast reply!
I love these notebooks! They work great for loose and messy sketching, such as at school or on the go for me. I wouldn't recommend for use as a full on sketchbook though, since the paper is a bit thin and pencil smudges over time. I like them for figure studies and things i wouldn't put in my normal sketchbook, though. Works great with pens, too!
It's because jetpens is based in the US, the stationery is from Japan, and we're in the UK! ugh it is way too expensive for me to get stuff shipped :'(
I have a Maruman spiral bound notebook that is new and untouched. It has been sitting on my shelf waiting. I have a new project I will use it for soon. So far I have been using cheap notebooks from work but I am now starting to want to use paper and notebooks with better quality.
Best notebook (and I have tried them all) is Alwych notebook from Scotland. Perfect creamy paper with nice covers and no annoying pockets, ribbons, elastic bands and such. Just perfect notebook which comes in four sizes. I like the smallest pocket version 8 x 133 mm and the largest size I think 13 x 21 cm or so (8 x 5"). Unfortunately, JetPens doesn't carry it yet which is a shame as they carry many notebooks from all over the world.
Will there ever be an option that says spend a certain amount to get free shipping? I am aware that this rule applies for US residents but will it ever be applicable for people in Australia? I would love to order numerous items from your website but the $15 shipping fee makes that a difficult choice. Regardless, love how up to date and interactive you are with your customers 😊
The Basic Style is great for letter writing! However, do note that all Maruman Mnemosyne Notebooks have a date and title section at the top of each page. www.jetpens.com/Maruman-Mnemosyne-Notebooks-Basic-Style/ct/5287
Hi there, I found a little PROBLEM! I just have a Mnemosyne 104 notebook, and I noticed something weird, when writing with my Meisterstück with "black" ink (either Cool Grey or Mystery Black, both from Montblanc) the paper doesnt take the ink very well, it seems it slips and skips some part of the writing letters (as if the paper were plastified, or greasy/oily (I dont know how to describe it). This doesnt happend in a Rhodia No 16 block. When I change the color in the fountain pen to an Untramarine ink (Montblanc and my favorite) this doesnt happened on the Mnemosyne. Has anyone know why this could be happening? are these Inks made of off different quimicals? Thanks.

*THANK YOU* for including the proper pronunciation of Mnemosyne! Hearing people say "Meh-nem-o-sign" sets my teeth on edge.
skeskali
As a Greek, any pronunciation I’ve heard is wrong. Lol
It’s mnee-mo-seé-nee.

I use the creative one with grid pages. In science classes, I used the box method of notes and drew diagrams on the back.
