I went on my first cruise in this. Good memories. Good people. The party scene was A LOT more vibrant than I expected. And i think it's that way during the early summer season. Honestly went in the ship not wanting to even go. And I left the ship wishing we had a few more days
I know what you mean, on our first cruise we were so nervous that we wouldn't like it that we only did a 5 day and by the end we definitely decided we needed more time!
I went on a 7 day and wanted more days too!

Just got off the Triumph which is very similar to freedom... had a great time... seventh cruise for me... hopefully many more to come! We were docked next to Freedom in Cozumel.
We cruised on the Triumph in 2014 and it is a great ship too, and yes very similar to the Freedom. We will be on board the Dream in just 51 days, super excited! Here's to many more cruises for all of us!!!

I did the around the same time this vid got published. It was my second cruise first one was ecstasy and 3rd one was vista
I know since this video. - they added mini water park , changed photo section to digital photo area ( touch screen ) , moved the mini golf to deck 12 & basic dry dock stuff , back in March 2019

5 days till our trip on this ship, I went on the Carnival Holiday as my first cruise and I thought that was big till I saw this, wow. Cant wait!

We’ll be on the Freedom in 49 days for my 50th birthday!! Your video is great and gave me the wonderful idea to decorate our door, probably will do a birthday theme. I always forget to bring door decor until I see others onboard. Thanks for a wonderful video!

Hi Janie! We use Command hooks and poster putty to attach the door decorations. Both are allowed by Carnival since they leave no residue behind. Hope this help! I hope you get to do everything you want on your next cruise!!!

FYI 34:30, you can download the Carnival Hub app from the App store for free while on the cruise and it will give you everything that is going on the ship. You can even favorite items that you want to do and it will send you a reminder 10 minutes before the start of it. You do have to pay for the internet package though for it to work.

Tbh, I’m not a huge fan of Vlogs or anyone who does them. But I like to watch your channel a lot! You don’t make it boring at all. It’s quite enjoyable. Awesome video thanks so much for sharing!!! My husband and I will be sailing on the Freedom this August (2018) for our second Carnival Cruise. The first time we were on the Valor and from your video the Freedom looks very similar. The one thing that stuck out with me in this video though is the creepy swivel chair in the comedy theater!! I DO NOT remember those chairs turning by themselves and did no one else notice that it appeared to stop as soon as it faced you....SUPER CREEPY.....mighty have to skip out on the comedy shows this time around lol!!
Yes, the Freedom and Valor are very similar. We loved this ship! Those chairs were super creepy, I have never seen anything else like that before or since!!! By the way, we have LOTS more Freedom videos if you are interested, they are all in a playlist.

going on Carnival Freedom August 19-26 this summer thank you for the tour of the ship I always cruise on Triumph but since they move it to New Orleans and I live in Dallas/Fort Worth,TX and the port I always go is to Galveston cause it 4-5 hours drive from us its one of the ships there plus I'm going somewhere different this time
The Triumph was the first ship we ever cruised on and we really enjoyed it. We try to take a new ship each year to change things up and are going to try the port in New Orleans. Did you hear that the new ship, Carnival Vista, is moving to Galveston in 2018? We are so excited about this one!!!
EECC Travels no but I heard that they are the only ship that have a sky ride where you can look above the ship kinda like a bike and also a IMAX theater
That ship has EVERYTHING! We have wanted to sail on it since it came out, but it is currently in Miami and didn't want to have to travel there. We are so excited it is moving close to home :)
Where are you guys located/live? I live in Dallas/Fort Worth,Tx so Galveston is the closest port to us when I live in Memphis I had to go to New Orleans and one time I flew to Miami

Just was on the Freedom about a month ago. It sucked me out of reality and it was like living in a fantasy almost. This is especially from the moment that I first boarded with the neat lights in the main entrance lobby. Well, stuck in reality now looking at what was my fantasy through a computer screen.
The Freedom really was fantastic! It is the best cruise we have been on so far. I know exactly what you mean... every week I edit footage for a video for our channel and miss being on the trip! Hope you get back on another cruise soon! We are hooked and cruise once a year, we are actually leaving in 11 days on the Dream :)
Good for you. Probably will be years before I get back on another cruise with starting college and the work force. Well at least when I do get back on one it will be magical from not being on one for a long time like how this one was.

Camp ocean is for the kids. Camp ocean have 2-5. 6-8. 9-11 years olders for kids. I took christopher tuck for camp ocean at carnival magic.
Our boys went to Camp Ocean when they were younger as well. Good times there.

Loved your cruise vlogs so much that I booked a last minute cruise for July 14th on the Freedom. Wish I could scoop y’all up! Heading out of Galveston and going to Cozumel, Jamaica, and Belize. How was the zip lining and tubing in Belize? Mom and I are looking for an excursion at that port.
Oh how exciting!!! I wish we could tag along!!! The ziplining is amazing, the video will be up on Sunday from our trip. It may be in two videos, one for the ziplining and one next week for the cave tubing. You will love it!!

+Sara W hope you have an amazing time on your cruise!!! No you don't feel the ship moving, the only time you may is if the seas are really rough. This has inly happened to is once and only for one evening and once you got into bed you didn't feel it at all. Enjoy your trip 😀

I had a question, when you leave the ship and go to the island, do you need a passport. I don't know yet and I don't want to buy a passport if I d not have too.

No you do not need a passport, once you get on the ship using your birth certificate and ID you will only need your Carnival Sail & Sign card and your ID to get on/off the ship. Im supposed to be going on an cruise at the end of the year and the only thing that may be stopping me from going is getting seasickness. I have major anxiety & a fear of being sick and of course that is the only thing that I’m worrying about lol!
Please don't let that stop you from cruising! It is such a wonderful vacation experience! Get the behind-the-ear patches from your doctor and bring some of the chewable seasick tablets too. I will tell you we were nervous about seasickness on the first cruise but it wasn't an issue. You barely feel the ship move!

We have always driven to Galveston as we live in Louisiana so I don't have an answer for you. Sorry, I wish I could help.

You'll find me at the money crane machine! lol I've got a question and maybe you can help me. If I book a suite do I get my luggages delivered to my room or do I have to purchase the Faster To Fun Pass? Wife and I booked the Captain's Suite on the Freedom for Thanksgiving of 2017.
Good luck with that crane machine! I have seen some people win... but we have never had any luck! Any checked bags will be delivered to your room no matter what type of room, it will be delivered the night of embarkation. Faster to the Fun will get you on and off the ship faster. Hope you have a great cruise!!!

If you purchase a suite the you DO NOT have to purchase the faster to the fun package. All suites come with VIP status that grants you priority embarkation and debarkation so purchasing the faster to the fun perk with a suite is redundant and not needed.
I want to go on a cruise in the summer, which cruise ship do you think is better, the Freedom or the Breeze?
KDistheman The Breeze is newer, so they'll be more updated activities
I can't speak for the Breeze because I have not been on it. But I just checked the Carnival website and it does have the 2.0 upgrades. The Breeze, Dream & Magic are sister ships, we have cruised on the Magic (before it received the 2.0 upgrades) and it was awesome! We will be on the Dream in April but unfortunately it is the only one of the three without the upgrades. I would say you can't go wrong with either, maybe let the itinerary be your deciding factor. Either way you will have a great time!
Hi, what's the best way to stick decoration on cruise door?
I use a Command hook on the door. They stick strong and come off without damaging the door.

How do you find non Flammable materials to make ur door hanging
Honestly I don't think Carnival even knows what flame retardant materials are... if you order room decorations from them they are plastic and paper. I have never seen this rule enforced. I try to stay away from paper/cardboard or anything you would think of that burns easily. I have a DIY video on the latest door decorations I made, this may help. There is also a Facebook group that is all door decorations that may give you some ideas. My feeling is do what you want and you should not have any problem, I have never heard of anyone being asked to take anything down. Happy cursing!

what are the names of the areas where smoking is allowed on the Freedom
+J Benoit sorry but I don't know. I am not sure if they have names. But I will tell you some of the nicest areas on deck 11 aft is the smoking area.
If you pre order things from the "fun ship" store will it be in your room when you get there...ie, photo album, glasses, etc
They should be. We have only ever preordered the Cheers package and there is always a note in our room that it is active. We had someone send us a bottle of champagne and it was purchased through the fun shops and it was delivered to our room.

Can you use regular tape to put up decorations?
+Ashley V technically no... but it depends on the room steward you get. If they don't mind it they will leave it alone. On our last cruise there was a door with tape all over it and it was up the entire cruise.

I'd be a lot more worried about the people who stick their kid's name on a sticker on the back of their SUV/mini-van. On a cruise ship you have a captive audience and believe me, video cameras EVERYWHERE. Although I'm certain that some crazy stuff goes down, I've never heard of any issues occurring with anyone's child on a cruise. I mean yes, there are predators everywhere, use normal precautions, but if you do that, your child should have a "code word" anyway before engaging with a strange adult.
