I always wondered what would have happened if Portland picked Jordan with their 2nd pick. Drexler would've played the Pippen role with more offense, forming the best duo in basketball history. Jordan and Drexler would've been two high-flying dunkers too.
Would've been a site to behold, but what if Houston doesn't drop the ball the year before in '83 & picks Clyde 3rd to go with Ralph Sampson and then a year later, Akeem Olajuwon. Assuming Sampson stays healthy, give me Clyde & The Twin Towers over Jordan & Clyde.
I don't think Jordan would be happy to play with Drexler. I believe there was was a deep connection as rivality between them as they could not play well together
@@chasaandrew6423 when & where did the rivalry start? They didn't have beef in college because they only played once against each other. So where would this rivalry start?
@@hectorlopez1069 he wouldn't have won 6, Olajuwon is probably going off for at least 5 straight because he, Pippen, and Grant would be lethal. He'd probably end up in Chicago with Olajuwon via trade: Jordan for Pippen & Grant. Rodman probably still comes on board. But then again, Drexler may still come and Rodman comes to Houston along with Harper. So you'd have Cassell, Jordan, Drexler, Rodman at PF, and Idk who at center. Horry coming off the bench.
Clyde won game 4 and 5 against utah. Hakeem did his thing but clyde was the MVP of this series. They dont get past the first round without clyde. Getting rid of maxwell seemed to loosen him up. Of course hakeem carried the rockets the rest of the playoffs. What a time it was to live in Houston
This was one of the most clutch playoff performances in his career and easily one of the most underrated playoff games ever. The Jazz and their crowd had control for what seemed like the entire game but it was Clyde keeping the Rockets in it the whole way and carrying a much needed load offensively. Made some clutch defensive plays down the stretch and smartly attacked in transition against the undersized Jazz guards.
Who would have thought that the injured and ageing Drexler would be this good after joining the Rockets during the regular season. I was so happy to see him to return to Houston and be reunited with Hakeem. But I thought Houston has no chance against Spurs, Jazz, Suns and Knicks, the teams with physical star power forwards. Drexler humiliated me with his amazing performance throughout the post-season.
I like how this is the only channel dedicated to uploading Clyde's higlights. One of the most electrfying players ever
I was happy to see Clyde get his championship
Yes after two losses in the Finals with the blazers.

Or if the rockets got Jordan, instead of Olajuwon. What would have happened?

Clyde Drexler is so underated player he was a monster, one of the best.
The Rockets are still the lowest seed ever to win the championship
What an accomplishment by the rockets.

Thanks for the videos, Clyde Drexel’s is my all time favorite
Second best 2 guard during the Jordan era
You see how deep Kenny Smith's team is though and he acts like he's done everything to get his championships

Drexler was aging but not injured. That's part of the reason why he was such a factor in their past season run
Two straight eliminations the rockets gave to the jazz. Clutch city.
Sport is all about fair doesn't It ?!?
😳😏🤥
The only team the bulls didn't want to play in the Finals, especially Jordan, he was afraid of the rockets and Olajuwon.
Jordan is the ultimate competitor I’m sure he would have loved to play the rockets
1:48 Drexler with the insane dunk. But he got away with a holding on Hornacecks arm. Lol.
