Bruh this is so stupid and demeaning, the way they are nurturing these potential actors. Like they are all professional actors, okay, but it’s no longer their age nor time and their perspective of the acting industry is outdated. They are so stuck to the way they were raised as actors in the toxic environment that they are now projecting their beliefs onto the new generation. I feel bad for these young actors...they should all be taught and treated with care, not pressure.
hey.. but repetitively getting mom roles and romcom female lead roles cannot be compared.. esp in the shows shen yue is put in, her roles literally always have the character with that cheesy story plot (which is so predictable) while the role of a mom can vary a lot. like.. maybe an impoverished mom? or a wealthy mom? a single mom? she’s using such a bad analogy. it isn’t even a fair comparison. if those two are gonna keep being so narcissistic and hold this unbelievable superiority complex, no one is gonna be successful bc they’ll have no confidence or self esteem.
Shen Yue's statement was brave in my opinion - she literally calls out the industry for giving her the same roles in romance dramas. Even if she were to "differentiate" the roles, she's restricted because *the roles are the same* therefore the director and the audience expect that! To say that she simply hasn't "observed the world enough" is pretty presumptuous and patronizing. How can someone become an all-rounder actress if they are repeatedly given regurgitated plot lines? If anything, this conversation brought to light that the actors we watch in the romance dramas we love are craving for diversity in their projects.
That older woman is acting like if she were a master,I mean doing something for years doesn't exactly make you a master on it lol,she's bitter and jealous in my opinion kinds entitled

The mom analogy is dumb if the producers asked you to play an evil stepmom there's no other way to portray an evil stepmom than to be an evil stepmom. It's not about playing a mom it's what kind of mom and hence she isn't always asked to play any kind of female lead but a specific kind of female lead. But miss holier than thou can't grasp that simple concept I guess.

I feel that Shen Yue is trying to push herself out of her comfort zone. I admire that in her. Unfortunately, the teachers’ responses weren’t very understanding. I don’t feel they were looking at things from the perspective of their students. I suppose they’re using a form of tough love to teach.

an Actor is a profession that is always learning. A Korean actress once said that no matter how many years of acting you had, every new project, your acting resets to zero. start over. ShenYue literally wanted to get out from being a "type cast", that's a brave thing to say. From her eyes alone, she could become a chameleon actress. imo, humility and sincerity are the most important aspect of acting. The best kind of acting? Down to earth acting. This ain't soap opera era anymore. Why is it that there is a lot of discomfort from this show?
Sometimes it’s not about the judges, director or mentor it’s about the viewers….specially if you’re in a love team then viewers will love those actors and that’s how they get popular.
This female judge is too critical and i get the self righteous vibe from her. I don't know her at all. She must have a great deal of background in the industry, but nevertheless her attitude towards young artist is just way to aggresive. She's plainly mean at this point. My opinion. Don't come after me. 😅

Hui Yinghong showed a very negative impression on HK's actors / actresses. She kept emphasized her 严厉批评 was for the goods of participants, but the same result can be delivered in different manners.
