Thank you for this video! I did exactly as you instructed and now my 75-300 is clean and clear. I was surprised at how much film the inside of the first element had.
hi thank you for your share, could you do for a Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS II USM dissembly please ? its hard to find one video for clean the dust, thank you so much
I have the exact same lense and I shall do this now. Do you have a video for the other lense on the opposite side of this. I shall try and and do both ends
Hello, I have a question, how do I calibrate the front lens if the pins have been turned without being marked? I have to admit I started turning them before watching this video, as I thought they were screws to remove the lens for cleaning.
I haven't done that before, but generally, place the camera + lens on a tripod, focus on something in the infinity, set the pins to the same position, and start taking photos, and check the quality. I would start with rotating the pins to the same position (for example the dots on the pins would be towards to the front of the lens, (take some test shots), then rotate all the pins 90 degrees, take some test shots etc... then check out which pin settings has the highest quality photos). Then you can check the image quality if you turn one pin at a time... turn the pin, and check the image quality.
Could anyone show I would go about cleaning the same model, except the mechanism that zooms in and out; extends the lens and retracts it. Mine seems to have issues during auto focus shooting.
I guess all 75 300 are similar I did it with the regular one not ultrasonic and it words, but I didn't attempt to clean the back parts just the front lens
How are you? It is good for me and I have one more questions Please answer to me When you are removing the screws inside, why did you remove it with pliers instead of loosening it by turning it? And when you are assembling the screws, you are using a screwdriver
Hello! I'm doing great, thank you for asking. Those are pins, and not screws, they don't have threads, so you can't remove them by twisting. You need to use a pliers to pull them out. When I put them back I push them inside, then I use the screwdriver to twist them to their original position. (They are eccentric.)
@@CamerasLensesEtc When I first tried to undo the second set of screws I just tried to unscrew them out right. turning the screws numerous times thinking it was just a simple matter of unscrewing them out with a precision screwdriver. ( I gave up and I left them in) not realising till this video, that you had to pluck them out. what do you mean by the previous statement? Does this mean they should be at he same rotation or is it that the same screw has to go back in the same hole. what exactly does it calibrate.
Those screws are eccentric screws and they are used to calibrate the lens by turning them. That is the reason that it should be marked and they should be put back at their original pace at their original position.
What if you didn't mark them? How severe is the effect of the lens being out of the correct calibration? P.S Very grateful for the video. Keep it up@@CamerasLensesEtc
This really helped me, thanks a lot
Thank you for your comment, I'm glad my video has helped you.
Thank you for your instructions. very helpful

I don't have that lens, so I'm not going to have video about it.
the lens is one piece of glass or 2? I have some nasty but looks like INSIDE of the lens, not at the top or the bottom..
did you figure out how to open that front element - thats what im trying to do
@@levit8 not yet 😔
Generally, it is (almost) impossible to separate the parts of the front lens element.

If you want to do the rear of the lens, you have to completely disassemble the lens. I don't have video about the full disassembly.

I don't understand what you're saying, and I don't have videos other than the videos on my youtube channel.

Great video but how don you clean the elements on the inside?….
In order to do that, you would have to completely disassemble the lens.
I have 80-400 tamron pleas halpe me how to clean ???
View my cleaning videos, generally that is the way to clean the lenses, and you can apply those to yours also.

Il mio obbiettivo presenta della polvere in mezzo al gruppo della lente frontale come posso rimuovere una delle due lenti per pulire in mezzo?
You have to disassemble the lens completely to do that. (I don't have a video about it.)
Thanks brother well made video
Thanks and welcome

Hi, have u any idea how to clear dust under front lens canon 24-70 f4? Not found any video about that
I don't know, I haven't had that lens before.
What is the purpose of marking the second set of screws position?
The lens is calibrated by twisting the screws. They should be at the same position as they were there originally to keep the lens calibrated.

Small pliers with teeth. Ebay & marktplaats links are in the description.
It works I was worried about mess up my lens but I noticed it focused x2 faster after cleaning
Good to hear that, thank you for the comment!
