    I’m 6 years benzo free. I feel and look like hell. I keep hearing people say, ‘it will get better’. It’s not getting better. I can’t sleep. My nervous system is a wreck. I miss working out. I often wonder if I went on benzos again and had a few good years, maybe that would be ok. Happy you healed. Not everyone heals.

    8 years benzo free!!! Congratulations Dan, thank you for this video and assuring us all that you are no longer hindered by the damage done! I am coming up on 18 months and still have a lot of head symptoms but am attempting to return to work soon. You’re videos have always been a guiding light for me and you’re proof that healing is real. I hope all is well 💪🏼👍🏼😎

      You are getting there, right now. One day at a time. As someone told me early on- “days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, months turn into years.” We keep on and keep seeing more healing. So excited to see what good things happen for you, Eleana. ✌🏻❤️

    Drugs are a real time killer ,,, I`m always watching the clock and after being on oxy/ alprazolam for 20 plus years the doctor took me straight off the benzos with no taper as of November 2022 , and I gotta say it`s not easy . The road you took in sounded a lot like the road i took in. I am trying . You are a real inspiration Dan ,,,, thank You for being out front showing there is a way out .

    It’s sometimes feels to me that I’m actually really over the withdrawal but my mind is tricking me to think I’m still sick. I only have mental issues.

    Always refreshing to hear from you Dan. Appreciate the reminder of hope for the future. As you were talking about the injuries and amount of recovery it occurred to me that any physical injury (eg: broken arm, leg etc) will almost always have some future repercussions. As we age that old injury may come back to haunt us in same way....but the journey through the years should never be determined by what injury we may have had but rather how we were able to work towards healing along the way. Thank you for the helpful reminder that we may not set any world record in this crazy race...but what was truly important is that we never stopped running. Take care.

  • @living4truth
    @living4truth ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I am so very happy for you where you're at now after coming off all those medications! Congratulations! 😊 I had ask you on one of your other videos where you were talking about the gabapentin if you could at some point down the road make a video about how you came off of it, what you did, how you did it and how you were during your tapering. You said that you would at some point and I know you said you have been very busy which is very understandable, but would you please make this video for all of us that are still on the gabapentin and wanting to come off of it. It is terrifying because of what we have already gone through trying to come off the other drugs it makes us fearful to begin that journey again. Thank you for all you do to help us!

    • @philosophicalfishing
      @philosophicalfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Congratulations. You have helped me through some rough days, hours, sometimes MINUTES with your videos. I'm early in my taper.
    BTW, it's either ironic or downright insidious that TH-cam decided to show me an ad for a pharmaceutical before this video.

    I’m 10 month CT , I’m disappointed cause I only sleep 3 hours a night. And I don’t get that natural dopey wonderful feeling that the brain say it’s time to sleep. I’m so disenchanted. Did I do permanent damage cause I CT. But I had no choice. New doctor wouldn’t prescribe.

      I've also had the same problem after quitting Effexor. The doctor cold turkeyd me.... I was also worried because I was not getting the tiredness feeling in the evening/night. It is getting much much better with time.

      When I was at the end of my drug journey before coming off everything I did. But afterwards it went away. I’m other words, it was a direct effect while still on the drugs.

      Hello Sir, yesterday I had a very positive experience while on a long distance car drive.. While on such travels I used to feel anxious due to ibs a derivative of benzo belly condition. Luckily a relation who was with me gave me some cumin seeds raw which helped me to avoid a toilet trip. This is for your kind information.

      @balachandramenon3523 ปีที่แล้ว

      After chewing a few cumin seeds one time, I did not get the defecation urge for 3 hours of the journey. However I am told one has to limit raw cumin seeds use since overuse could cause stomach upsets. Just sharing it with you...

    Im 10 months off klonopin aftercare long gradual taper. I took it as prescribed for 20 years. The last few days have been maybe the worst of my withdrawal. Is it normal for the withdrawal to get worse this far off? Some symptoms have gone away but others have popped up
