Been obsessed with your channel lately! I am currently looking to start school soon and your content is so helpful and encouraging! 28 and changing my career choice is a bit daunting but I couldn’t be more excited!
I applied for an llc before I opened and it was actually really easy, I used incfile. I did that because IF I do get sued I'm safe cause I'm going to be working out if my house
This is exactly the information I was looking for and this was so freakin helpful!! I’m about to open up my nail business soon and this helps me prepare for what I should be doing weekly and how to organize myself, thanks so much for the info ❤️❤️❤️
Hey girl you do have to use your business debit card to purchase supplies and use that to write off or if you don’t have enough funds in your business bank account can you use your personal account to buy supplies and write it off? I’m starting out new and I have no clue what I’m doing.
This was so helpful. Thank you. I have my DBA and a sole proprietor. I don't have to get a tax ID unless I'm a LLC like you said. I got my DBA so that I could get a business loan after 2 years of working as an Esthetician. All the DBA does is give you rights to your business name.
@@kristenmarieco Did you start solo straight out of school? & if so, did you become a Sole Prop right away or once you started having established clientele
I would love to see a video on your business plan! I'm in the mode of getting my paperwork together. If you could share your business plan and how you put together your operating agreement that would be amazing.
Do you have any videos regarding how you actually went about opening your own business? I have so many questions about things like esthetician insurance, building a clientele, starting a business and how to get through the days or months where business is slow, how expensive it was to open your own spa/rent your own space/etc 😭 I feel so lost
So I'm still in school but I've purchased some products and equipment. Once I become an official business am I able to write those off? I didn't know if there was anything that you purchased ahead of time for your business that you were able to write off.
Hi Kristen! I was wondering if you could do a video on attending esthetician school as a mom. I'm expecting my first baby in June and have decided to go back to school once he's born and I really don't know what to expect. Love your content, you're helping so many of us aspiring esthetician's out here❤️
Hey girl! Question. Do you only have a business account or do you have a business and a personal? Just seems easier to only have a business that way you don’t have to transfer money for personal expenses.
I'm a solo esthetician in NY and I find all of your videos superrr helpful! Thank you so much! Question: Do you deposit all of your cash into your business account? Or is the point to not deposit it and just hold on to the cash so there is no record of it?
It will better to deposit because at the end you business need utility of the year and if you have plans for the future to get loan . That will help you !
Thank you ! This video has been very helpful .. such a shame that all the tax talk etc is tailored to the US ! I’m a hairstyle in the UK .. nevertheless very helpful ( I’m also a sole trader)
You should be claiming your cash especially if you are aiming to buy a home, self employment income is not looked at the same for those with businesses trying to by a home, you also should not be writing off all these expense so you can qualify for your home
So, I’m sorry if I missed this in the video . But when you mentioned to multiply your weekly income by tax rate (0.25) and put it away , what exactly is the purpose and benefit of this ? Are these going to be funds that we would have to later pay back into something ? I’m a beginner here and i’m just learning lol
MOMS! Another tax write off I was advised about was any childcare expenses. SO helpful! Thought I would share :)
i know I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch new series online ?
@Jameson Dominik i use Flixzone. You can find it on google :)

Hi, not tax related but can you share where you get your uniform tops.

I think I missed it dio when opening a business and you want to open a bank account for it does it have to be a registered llc company first?
How did you get your business license? I’m having such a hard time. I’m a solo esthetician
Also, if you already made the decision to get an LLC without the proper knowledge of sole proprietorship, do you recommend still getting one ?
❤ Thank you
Liked and saved!
🌴🌺 Thanks for all the info!! Congrats to the winner!!!!!
how do you get invoices from the supplies you buys from amazon ??
Go to your order history, you should see an option to view the order detail/invoice.
Your teeth and smile are beautiful!

Hi. It's 2024, are you still a sole proprietorship or an LLC now? Also - do you regret starting out as a sole proprietorship?
I'm trying to decide which one to get for myself and my business. Hope to hear from u!

Are you an LLC or Sole Proprietor now?
Sole proprietor she says, LLC is a big yearly payment, and it’s worth it but she mentions other reasons.
Is this business in your home? Im considering that !
No she rents a studio/office space
