A concert like this reminds me of a simpler time. When good music, movies and people were all around us. Having a smile on my face running around in a circle pit not a worry in the world. I miss the good old days The 90s to early 2000's will forever live on in my heart. And long live that 90s punk we all know and loved even on the shittiest of days it still brings a smile to my face :)
Its now 2023. Hopefully the younger generation gets to appreciate this band and all others in late 90's to early 20's. Miss those days going to concerts and music festivals without anyone taking their phones out. Just enjoying the moment.

I've been a huge fan of this band since the beginning, and here's my thoughts after watching this documentary for the second time. The Starting Line has to continue to make music. Their music is so good and I don't even think they realize it. They absolutely had the potential to be a commercial success but were plagued by their record labels at every opportunity that should've been capitalized. Where should they go from here without letting the same things happen again? The answer is to go INDEPENDENT. With this era of digital music and social media, you really don't need a record label to put your music out there. Look at Macklemore or Gotye for example. The Starting Line already has a huge fanbase, and would get plenty of support from their fans to help spread their music. If The Starting Line goes independent, then their tours should be alongside the likes of indie rock artists, not pop punk bands. With Kenny's side projects PersonL & Vacationer (and TSL's continued track record of molding the pop punk genre with their last two album releases), I think that they just need to continue creating their own unique sound that's their true vision, and forget about being a huge commercial success or what labels are telling them. In the documentary they talk about being forced to write hit songs or sound like other bands in the genre, and that's obviously not good advice for any true artist with integrity and respect for art. But still, they have all of the existing pieces to be a huge indie rock success. They belong at music festivals like Lollapalooza, ACL, SXSW, and Coachella...not headlining tours supporting pop-punk music. They've grown up; the Drive Thru Records days are over. They even admit "If SILYMI still is all you want, then I'm not sure how much in common we've got." I think that they should hit the reset button with their band and past intentions, and find a new image, sound, and purpose that is true to them. Continuing where "Direction" left off, I think their next album should be called "Reset" meaning they recognize the past was fucked up but they aren't dwelling on it, and they won't let it happen again because they'll be the ones in control this time around. This is a new beginning. My point is that The Starting Line went on a hiatus because they were dealing with all of these external factors that took away from the joys of them making music and even affected their songwriting, as seen in songs like "Inspired By The Dollar Sign" and "Somebody's Gonna Miss Us." They need to get back to the roots of creating art and playing music that their fanbase can still connect with. I think the unreleased track "Luck" would be an awesome single, I can't believe it isn't available to purchase yet. It just pisses me off that one of my favorite bands has taken break because of things that they had no control over. I'll continue to be a fan, and I hope that they continue to make great music.I just worry that they might be too burned out to give it another go.

I looked at them and didn't really expect much, but then I listened to their "With Hopes of Starting Over" EP and my life changed. I believe that was 2001, about the same time I discovered Yellowcard's "One For The Kids" album.
Jono Bennett lol i remember freshman year or so maybe like 15 years old being in a band and hearing about this kid from penn who was our age and got to finish school early to focus on his band.. we were all super jealous and hating hahaha... but when the songs finally leaked onto music sharing sites before the album really dropped we were all rocking it skating around listening to left coast envy..
The greatest regret of my life is not seeing them when they went to the Philippines, I am such a biggest fan, been listening to them since I'm a little kid. I feel my life isn't complete :(
