The one reason I want to live in N. Zealand is to get away from cities, not live in one. Have visited most cities in New Zealand and they are no different too anywhere else, just another concrete jungle. but it does have some of the most magnificent scenery and hardly any people and I would do just about anything for a resident visa as I fell in love with it when I was there.
I live in NZ and am curious as what you call a city Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, invercargill. Those are the cities all the rest are glorified towns.

this is annoying, places not even New Zealand and pronunciation ridiculous. Its dated 5 months ago and buildings in Auckland which have been there since 2011 are not in this misinforming piece of nonsense.
Auckland should never be in the top ten, and I've lived here for over 40 years. Pronunciation of some names from someone how doesn't live here is expected, I cannot pronounce some overseas names as the locals would say them as well.

To be honest I'm not surprised as even professional American broadcasters slaughter names. Don't the broadcasters have researchers to check things out?
