Horton in ribblesdale - pen y ghent - ribblehead - hull pot - Yorkshire three peaks

this walk starts off at Horton in ribblesdale at the car park, we pass the old café (which is now closed and has been for a few years).
the onto the campsite ( a favourite place of mine when i go to Horton)this is the official star point of the Yorkshire three peaks and a regular stop off of mine and now on to the first of the three mountains
today we are only doing one of the three and that one is pen-y-ghent a tough start to the day
so on through the village past the village church and over a wooden bridge a quick left after coming off the bridge you'll find yourself on a little road, follow this upwards until you reach a farm and just before there is a sign post on your left marked "pen-y-ghent follow this sign through a gate and there you are you are now on the three peaks challenge and the first climb.
once at the top you have a long descent of about 8 miles to the cross roads the route is well marked and easy to follow
we take a slight detour to visit hull pot a good reason to take that little time out to see if you have time
