I have been streaming vr and oculus single app selection that you pin is wonky. I tried to use ovr toolkit but it launches as its own game so I can't start a second game like elite dangerous. I don't know if there is a way around that. I tried with elite from. Oculus and steamvr version

Pro-tip: When streaming, hide/don't look at your viewer count because it will impact your personality. You shouldn't base your excitement and happiness on viewer count. Base it on game enjoyment.

If you want to capture an eye of VR and not the game window, the OpenVR Input Plugin is easier to use; it displays the SteamVR mirror directly in OBS in full resolution without any aspect distortion, allowing you to select which eye to display, and adjust the cropping. Also worth mentioning that the mirror it displays is higher FoV than the SteamVR mirror. If I'm not using the game's builtin mirror, I'm using the OpenVR Input plugin for OBS instead of SteamVR Headset Mirror, because of all the advantages of having the headset mirror directly in OBS instead of into its own window where OBS captures and then loses resolution and FoV.
So I’m not streaming and don’t have a headset yet, but I’m saving this video for the near future

Great tutorial. I wish it was a lot easier than this, maybe one day it will be as easy as launching the game. I've got no desire to be a "content creator" or try to make money from streaming/making videos, I just think it would be fun to be able to share the experience with random strangers on the internet from time to time.

I upgraded from the Vive to the Index back in the beginning. It's not the"best value", and not perfect, but if you can afford it, it is the best choice! No regrets

Somehow, at the STEAM VR window thingy (Using VRchat with the Stream camera and chroma key) it lags so bad.
VRchat window won't get as laggy as STEAM VR window, I'm using Streamlabs as well, Is there something I could do to fix that lag?

Well this was useful! Wish it came out a while back.
One recommendation is that for OVR Toolk kit there is a free version, but it isn't as user friendly, has some performance, and you don't give money to the people who made it. It's an alright alternative but if you are serious just get the full version on steam.

I know this probably wont be read but I use oculus link and when I’m in streamlabs it doesn’t pick up my game audio even though I set desktop audio to “oculus headphones” and do I need the switch the game display to the specific game I’m playing every time I play a new game, luv ur vids so much, tbh u honestly inspired me to become a streamer. I tried everything but when I start the oculusmirror renamed the window is black and in streamlabs is still black, I don't have the name "vr view" but only Oculus mirror... there is a solution?

Oculus link headset audio and mic audio doesn't pick up in the software, I can switch it to my speakers on my computer and it works but then I can't hear it through the headset
This ^ I was wondering the same thing. I stream it my mic only pick up. Gameplay audio wasn't only threw my mic. I've been stuck on this and haven't found an answer. I follows this video 100% and my desktop audio is not picking up gameplay audio. Guess this is one of those figure out yourself kinds things.

Although I would mention that in Beat Saber, there are a ton of mods, including a better camera in game. Sort of important since it has other functions, like making barrier invisible on your PC screen (as well as various camera actions in game).

question not related to streaming but I saw that ThrillSeeker was using, voice meeter, I use to use it until I had problems and looked everywhere to find a fix and no luck. The problem I have is that I can't seem to have a 7.1 surround sound passthrough in the software. I need this to have a compressor to hear better and to actually use the software to help improve mic quality as for some reason I can not do this otherwise. Please help.
Have you seen something about Xiexe's overlay? some months ago bought daily ovr but it was soo bugy that ended using steamvr screen capture and programs in different screens and LIV streamerkit... now im wondering if is worth waiting for it or just get OVR Toolkit instead
Casual gamers all over are getting the Oculus Quest and getting into VR for the first time when they often don't even PC game at all, many are console gamers so this kind of VR was out of their reach before, and I'm seeing Quest related content doing very well, so there's a "market" there maybe... I'm not buying a Quest just to make content for it but if anyone has one that's my tip.

What country are you from? If there isn't enough people understanding what you're saying, you could stream speaking your native language and gain viewers that also speak that language.
@@thederpderp7758 I'm Czech. There's very few people interested in anything but CS:GO and LoL in this country, even fewer interested in VR. There are also no popular Czech streamers, making the local Twitch scene very poor

So I'm having trouble with setting up the audio in and out.
I'm using oculus link and my obs just doesn't want to use my microphone. I can select it but it doesn't produce any sound. I have the same issue in VRChat...
I fixed it for output trough audio mirroring but my input is still an issue
