I've never done any canning. At one time, I had the big pot and canning jars as I was inspired by my Mom to make homemade jelly. Maybe you will get me started! 🥰
Karen, you are so sweet! We're both so glad you love what we are doing. We want to inspire people to cook. We are not professionals, but we love to cook and want people to realize you don't have to be an "expert" but you can become one in your own kitchen cooking what you like and trying new things. The hot-water bath canning is all I do. I still have not gotten brave enough to do the pressure cooker canning. Maybe one day, I will. You can do this! It's so easy, even I can do it. I thoroughly enjoyed this video & saved it so I can use your recipe & tips. You didn't say how long to leave the jars in the water bath once it comes to a boil. I Googled it and it says 15 minutes after a rapid boil starts. Is this right?
Everybody uses the rings to start with or you won’t get a seal. Also, it’s best to wipe the rims with white vinegar, not just a dry dish cloth. But I do look forward to trying your recipe, thank you :)

You can do this with end of season vegetables from the garden - whatever is left, just make your brains and done. You can also can any left over brine for another batch this year or next. You don’t need a specific mix or quantity
