What an absolute miserable weirdo. He just couldn’t stand that she was an accomplished, caring, kind, and giving person that didn’t want to be with him so he took her life away from her. It’s so horrifying how there are people in this world so selfish and have such little regard for others lives. It sounds like she even tried to help him but he didn’t want the help, he just wanted to drag her down to his misery.
Not blaming the victim at all, I just want to bring up a theme in her life. She was very much a caretaker. The roommate was not really a financial situation. It was more about her taking care of a young man and letting him live in her house. The roommate was special needs and he did everything he was capable of to help her. Sadly, he was not a person who could do any caretaking. He was barely able to care for himself. Her engagement to Drew Carrey was definitely more about her wanting to take care of him. I have met Drew and he is a very sweet man but really only able to care for himself. Not really partner material. And the ex-boyfriend was definitely not an intelligent individual. She was very nice but so nice she ended up having nobody who could protect her. I only say this to let other women know, it’s ok to have high standards in your romantic life. Be kind to everyone but be very careful in your heart and home.
This is totally fair to say. It’s so common for women to die bc of an ex or current partner, women must be more diligent when getting involved in romantic relationships.
I disagree about Drew Carey only able to take care of himself. He was a single father and took care of him and himself. He even lost a lot of weight to improve his health after having a health scare. He was capable of taking care of her. She was probably very independent. Felt she could take care of herself and was compassionate for others.
I had a crazy ex-bf too. Scary times. He used to hide behind trees and at the back of my apartment, by the garden as it was an open area. I went to the police and got a restr. Order and luckly he stopped. He used to work at the airport and would loose his right to work there, so, he stopped. It's been 10 years already and am still scared. Dark times. 😢 poor beautiful lady, rip
Same thing happened to me. I would be driving to work early in the morning & look in my rear view mirror & he would just be behind me. He would hide in my yard when I came out w/ friends & just appear out of know where & try to talk to me. Had the nerve to go to my moms & demand to know where I was. It was an awful time. I won’t even say his name today. He gives me nightmares. Last I heard he was terrorizing his latest girlfriend.
if he really wanted to kill you all these restraining orders was NOT going to help you no matter how many restraining orders .WHY did you go to the police ? what happened to strong and independent women ????
This is very personal to me as I actually ran in the same circles as this killer from about 2006 -2012. Saw him at many events, parties, concerts and clubs and even was photographed with him many many times. Hopefully he is locked away for the rest of his meaningless wasted life.
@SomeOne-ji8ny honestly I only ever saw him at events, clubs etc. I wasn't calling him to come over, go to dinner. I knew him socially. He was always just kind of around. He just seemed a bit dorky and like a low key creeper . He totally took up photography to get close to the action. There are a ton of people in that scene who knew this guy. Im shocked more haven't spoken up. If the old night life photos he used to take are still up, there are probably thousands of photos of him from that period.
I grew up with him, and worked an IT job together very early on in our careers (1999-2001). I cannot recall seeing any signs that he was capable of this. We had chatted about old times and had some laughs a few months before this happened. He was always the guy who could get any girl; the last thing I would have guessed is that he would obsess over one. RIP Amy; justice will be served.
@saiine I could totally see this being true. He was an attractive guy, knew everyone but maybe tried top hard at times to be at the cool kids table. It's shocking that this is reality.

Its so sad how victims in cases like these are often aware that they may be killed or attacked by a certain party but can’t do anything about it. Like how she told her friend that if she was killed, that Gareth did it. Rest in peace angel.
I said the same thing to my friends/family when I had a stalker 😥 guy started at my workplace, and in a week and a half of barely talking to me decided we were soulmates. I asked him to leave me alone and he straight up said he wouldn’t because he “knew what I really needed”. Then he started following me and trying to corner me whenever I went to a less populated area. And he wouldn’t let me leave. It was a nightmare. The police did f*ck all. It’s not 100% their fault though, stalking and harassment are not taken seriously enough by the courts either. I had to walk around as human bait until he finally crossed the line and they could actually arrest him. And if him “crossing the line” was ending my life that was a sacrifice our policing/justice system was willing to make 🤷🏻♀️ and all I did was be some random chick at my workplace that he projected his fantasies on. I didn’t ask for any of that.

This murder reminds me of the woman who was murdered by her bf in (I think) Brazil. She was a lawyer and he ended up beating and strangling her before he threw her off the balcony. He then went down to the street and retrieved her dead body and brought her back to the apartment. It's really gruesome. That case was the first thing that came to mind when I heard the details about this woman. The victims looked pretty similar too.
Donate to a women's shelter...THEY are the people who give women and children a safe place to run. No many accept pets, so if you believe animals don't deserve to be left behind to be killed, defenselessly, by the abuser after the woman and children leave, donate to a shelter that also allows pets.

As a @killtony fan and a Law and crime sidebar fan never did I think these worlds would collide. Very sad sad situation and I give my condolences to everyone that was close to her.
I remember him on Kill Tony, I wonder if it will come up in court? Tony has crushed the egos and souls of many a Hollywood wannabe. I hope they still do and he gets to help put that together for her memorial.
What did you expect her actually do when Amie's ex- boyfriend was 6'4" and weighed 240 lbs plus there was no gun anywhere in the house. Did they get an answer from the suspect about why he had syringes with nicotine on his person and why there was one at her house (the crime scene?!) What did he do with them?! It terrified me to think about what he did to her with them like 🤷🏽♀️🤯😖 My Thoughts and Prayers are with her friend's and family however much time has gone by ❤️😪😇🙏🏽‼️
He didn’t actually use it on her, they found it on her balcony where he presumably dropped it after strangling her and throwing her off, but in the video of the prosecutor’s opening statements that was posted today he stated that it would have been very difficult to trace if he had injected her with it. Very sinister, imo. My crazy theory is that he perhaps intended to use one syringe on her, and one on himself. Why he didn’t end up using the second one on himself after he went home we will probably never know, but my guess is that he’s a coward and he never intended to go through with offing himself, he just wanted to make it LOOK like that was his intention when he inevitably got caught.

@@shable1436 have you watched the trial at all? If not, I encourage you to do so! The defendant, Garreth Pursehouse, isn’t claiming that he wasn’t involved in her death, nor is he claiming that he wasn’t there when she died. He isn’t even claiming the syringe filled with pure nicotine, that would have been lethal had she been injected with it, found on Amie’s balcony wasn’t his. His defense is basically that he was “sooo depressed” and out of his mind after seeing Amie at the awards show a few weeks before she was murdered, and that Amie should have helped him more so she wouldn’t have been killed by (so he/his lawyers say) jumping off the balcony in order to escape him… after he waited for her in her home for hours to ambush and strangle her, of course. So yes, I’m certain it wasn’t anyone but Garreth because even he isn’t claiming so; there is an incredible amount of physical evidence, including multiple Ring videos and his blood & DNA, of him at the crime scene. The defendant’s side is basically trying to get his charges dropped from first degree murder with special circumstances (which is technically eligible for the death penalty) to second degree murder for a lesser sentence. It’s shameful!

💯
This is totally fair to say. It’s so common for women to die bc of an ex or current partner, women must be more diligent when getting involved in romantic relationships.
I disagree about Drew Carey only able to take care of himself. He was a single father and took care of him and himself. He even lost a lot of weight to improve his health after having a health scare. He was capable of taking care of her. She was probably very independent. Felt she could take care of herself and was compassionate for others.

He's a huge creep, but so are a lot of guys. Especially with really beautiful women; Guys just become obsessed. She may have had issues setting boundaries or enjoyed the adoration, but I almost think the guy was delusional about how close their friendship was. When he talks about the trip, I think she kind of tolerated him and he didn't get the cue that it was just her trying to be nice.
Horrible way to die being thrown off a 3rd floor to the ground. Fractured Skull, Brain Trauma, multiple Broken Bones, Torn Organs etc.
Yeah, and someone wanted an open casket?
@@erinc1. She wanted an open casket. She’d requested it just months earlier.
The blood splat in the studio is silly
She seems like a really amazing person
Well it's only a twenty minute video.
Marquis must miss her so much but at least he was taken in by her best friend. They will be together at the Rainbow Bridge where she will be waiting for him. Jealousy and bitterness is the worst of humanity.
So so glad you have her kitty cat 😺
This is terrifying!
9 years….man he could NOT get over it.
I absolutely despise the fact that you just ran a commercial in the middle of a video. Some people pay for premium for actual good reasons.
She had a Dita Von Tease aesthetic
Her beautiful soul shines through her eyes. She was radiant. Rest in peace❤
I just watched a little bit of the trial and wow, proson has not been kind to him. I'm shocked that this is the same guy 😬
My first visit to your channel and I love and appreciate how well you've presented the videos an extremely top level coverage from start to end its just fantastic im so pleased I've now found you, I've got all on shuffle and loving it, thankyou so much 🥰
Is this trial going to be televised?
This comment thread is a cesspool of victim blaming. Proceed with caution ⚠️
I hope your wrong, I haven't seen one comment that blamed the victim for her death, and I hope I don't. 😢
Classic YT manosphere comment section 🚩🚩🚩
After reading a bunch of comments, I found a cesspool one. Perhaps the victim blaming posts were deleted as they often are.
I wonder if the prosecution advised Mr Coshland not to do interviews before the trial. I think he might be a witness for the prosecution?
Mr Coshland is a loser who tries to monetize his "friendship" with the deceased. His facial expression of a goat is pretty creepy.
True. He gives me creepy vibes 😮
@@pla5730me too 👀
He just needs the attention. He’s hijacked everything about her memory. None of her friends even speak to him anymore. He comes off as a creep for a reason.
@@themeowmistidawn 😂 I thought the same thing.. when he was talking about regretting not taking a pic of her the last time he was with her came off as very stalker-ish .. straaaange
Usual suspect
😂
Lol, a male?
😂
They should be able to find a shipping statement for the nicotine?
World's worst roommate ever
