I've largely stopped playing games on high hard difficulty and s rankings because I have been too disappointed by bad dev teams not making them properly. To me that level of difficulty represents a covenant between player and devs. That they promised they made a thing well. But modern times it turns out the devs don't balance nor care so it's just a frustrating waste.
even in rpgs you know one of the biggest gaming genres. It's only hard for like the first 10 hours out of 100. Game devs really don't care about balance
Yeah, it would be cool if they could work that in. The Shin Kamen Rider game on the Switch lets you transform, but there isn't much reason to stay in the base form for long. It's probably tricky to make it a meaningful mechanic, but it can be a nice little extra even if it doesn't do much.
I see what you mean about it not being your thing but it growing on you. The style of the sprites isn't my jam but the sound design and soundtrack are great. Kinda growing on me a bit as I watch.
Always nice to see your runs, helps with understanding how to optimize and avoid damage for us bads. Im not convinced this game is being sold for the right price for me, but im sure it will be discounted soon enough.
Now this is how you do it ! Seen people complaining Easy is hard lol. My only problem is the lack of variety between the rangers compared to TMNT as well as the lack of details in the sprites compared to their images when you see them in Dialogue...cleaner spritework would have went a long way
Lack of variety is also an issue with TMNT Shredder's Revenge. Every character plays the same, it's a bit like The Hyper Stone Heist for Mega Drive, but with subtle differences in frame data and damage. Like, in HSH Mike hit the hardest, needing only three hits of his combo to knock down a basic mook, while Raph had the fastest attack. In Shredder's Revenge, the only character that stands out from the rest is Usagi (thanks to his air combo). SOR4 showed how to make every character distinct from each other, you can see the differences in their movesets and fighting styles.
@@chrisfalcon_vt This true to an extent but this only applies to the base roster, even at that leonardo doesn't play the same to michaelangelo for example and the DLC characters are very distinctive from one to another (mondo gecko's air superiority, karai's power-up, mona lisa's ranged focus)
Surprised you covered this one, to be honest. A lot of issues with the combat feel and flow turned me off of it; when combined with the price point I had to refund it. But maybe the dev team will put out some updates that help things feel better.
I wonder as well. I played the demo of that and you are correct on that. From what I can tell Snake Eyes is OP in that game. Having that said it's still the best G.I. Joe game in years despite it's issues.
I was actually hoping to make a video about that by the end of the year, but I played Metaphor and it took forever to finish, so it'll probably take a little longer. I've got at least a few more beat em ups I absolutely have to play (or replay) first.

The only thing I dislike, is not being able to morph. It was actually fun [for me] on the Super Nintendo.

Would not be surprised this got modded with TMNT Shredder's Revenge sprites.
Too similar
LET'S POWER UP!! 💪
Awesome game 🎮 play IconoClast😃🙌🏾👍🏾.

It’s just a bit stiff. Too used to shredders revenge but an update should fix it
Wondering if you're gonna give Vengeance Hunters a run. To me, it's without a doubt the best BTU of the year.
It looks good, I'm hoping I can get to it sooner than later.
The True GOTY 2024 is finally here!!! GO GO POWER RANGERS!!!
How did I know you'd do a walkthrough on this? 😊
because he's best at games
Good job 👏 👍
Did you ever play that GI Joe beat’em up that came out recently? I tried the demo, seemed a little generic.

I haven't tried it yet, but I do want to check it out when I have a chance.
was hoping for a marvel vs capcom goldar battle that was unexpected but interesting.
That first stage track sounds a lot like Super Alloy Ranger.
Do you have a tierlist of this genre? For me, I guess I always compare things to Turtles in Time.

Those sound effects are really lackluster.
Lol Headache difficulty 😅
Yeah it's basically Hard difficulty with no continues!
@@masterlee1988 no contines I'll pass trying to get the achievement
Don't you mean headache mode?
I do not see Toei making Super Sentai video games like this.
Why don’t they make Super Sentai games like this Power Rangers game?
Just finished playing it and I can honestly say it is absolute garbage worst $50 I ever spent
