JAMES’ DIRT HOUSE! 😱🤣🤣🤣 thank you for the house tours I really enjoyed this! ❤️❤️❤️ and love that you use the name mod to help remember your name, really helpful-I actually do the same thing!
Doc will never let James forget about the 'dirt house' 😂 Deli did an awesome job! That onset would have been a tough job and she killed it!! Looks amazing!! 🤩
The bathhouse is just laid out to logically and flows really well for the gameplay aspect of the hot springs and I love that about it. It’s very nice and I’m so glad we get that build in there instead of whatever EA would’ve tried and failed at
loving all your videos on this new pack!!! i was already excited about it but you’ve convinced me doc!!! so nice to see all these amazing builds from our favorite simmers as well :D i hope we see a DrGluon original in the next one ;)
I agree with your rankings. Considering she only had base game and the Snowy Escape pack, the Onsen is very nice. I could see many people adding a sauna and other key items from the Spa Day pack, just to make the lot even more useful. If I end up getting this pack, that's what I would do anyway. So just minor changes to add more things for your sim to do. The park looks great, especially the fountain, made to look like a pond. I've never been that successful at disguising a pool or fountain to look more natural. WE NEED A POND TOOL! oh, sorry, did I yell that? The rental, therefore by default is last... but I guess it is better than the dirt house. Haha.
That’d be a great idea to add in a sauna from spa day! I’m just so afraid to touch it and ruin the elegance of that build haha but I think it’d bring a fun aspect since I have the spa pack already
@@prcupine9066 Same! I guess you could shrink the locker room and place the Sauna beside it maybe? Plus, adding in the meditation seat somewhere else would be fun. XD
I agree with the order you put the builds in, I thought considering that this area would always be snowy the pool in the rental house didn't make too much sense, especially with that open roof, I think that's just where sims will go to die, though knowing deli, maybe that was the plan :D
lol Well, if it was more realistic, it's possible the snow comes from the other side of the mountain, which is why the top gets snow dumped onto it, then the payload dwindles significantly as the clouds move across but yeah, I'd be surprised if the other neighborhoods never got snow with the Seasons Expansion. Spring, Fall, and Winter are probably cool if not cold and I'd bet the weather is frequently set to "unexpected" which can include snow in other seasons. Anyone with the traits that let you ignore the cold weather would love that pool tho... and maybe not die. XD
I agree on putting the onsen first... dely totally nailed it with that build..it's just so awesome.. I'm a lousy builder so i'm very happy we finally have such great builds coming with the game😍.. also love the kids bedroom from the rental house
Are these ponds made of pools? I'm kind of hoping they're made of fountains because that will mean they've finally made us able to build fountains next to walls/foundations.
Yep! I have a video of me rating Kayla’s builds tomorrow... and I asked everyone individually if they were ok with me doing this. We are all friends but it’s always good to ask 🙂
I'm sure they're all cool with it! Other than teasing James about his starter, Dr. Gluon didn't compare any Simmer to another Simmer, he only compared their own builds to one another. That's the best way to go about it. :)
I agree with the ranking. 1- the Onsen: although it's not perfect i think it's just so stunning and there's so much to love. The shower room, the spring outside, the lockers and the balconies, not to mention the stunning architectural design of the build, it's just all so gorgeous. There are things i would change. The common rooms are a bit generically modern looking, i'll probably transform them to a more traditional look and the building does not have a genkan or even an entrance sign to remove your shoes so sims may walk up to the reception still having shoes on! In japan that would not fly... 2- the park: it's beautiful, absolutely stunning and there's nothing i can criticize about it, probably because my only criticism is that it's a small simple build with nothing besides a beautiful little park. I think it would've been even better, probably higher than the onsen if they had given you more room to work with. It's nice but there ain't much besides it. Love the bridge and pond, it's time EA gives us actual ponds. 3- the rental home: the only thing i like about it is truly how calm it feels and it feels at least less out of place than James' dirt house. The skylight is also a nice idea, i noticed Kayla also used it, i like that it feels like a common design element in Wakaba but the rest of the roof aint working for me, it feels rushed and incomplete. Also, the outdoor space is a little empty (but i understand why it had to be) and I don't like how it just cuts from gravel to grass but that's a minimal thing, i probably would've put the whole outdoor space on a a different level from the ground so that you would need a step to access it. Also, what's with the bust in the kitchen? I dont get the statue on the counter, i expect kitchen related stuff in the kitchen. The modern indoor garden is a really nice touch, it feels like a modern interpretation of a traditional feature. The whole house feels really zen but also rushed and empty. Idk if they gave her ryokan as inspiration but she probably should've used one of those instead of a regular modern home.
I agree overall, although that specific neighborhood is supposed to be more modern, so she was going with their request in that regard. The bust was a little odd... IDK if that was a placeholder she forgot about (maybe the Onsen took longer than anticipated) or if she just really liked it and thought it'd be quirky. I'd probably remove it if I decided to renovate the rental but overall it's not an issue; I wouldn't explicitly go to manage worlds and get rid of it before going on vacation lol. Like others, I think the kid's bedroom is my favorite part; it felt the most detailed while being pretty minimal. The build does feel a little rushed now that you mention it but also, IDK if she ended up having to remove anything or change things based on the dev's feedback or if they changed things after she gave it to them! James swears they moved the windows in one of his builds when they altered the bathroom to separate the toilets into their own room (and he has relative proof.) Maybe an EA dev added the statue? I admit, I haven't looked at Deli's channel to see if she put up a speed-build for this lot yet... I watched a vid where she discussed the onsen but I don't think I saw that? Anyway, I'm talking way too much about that bust, sorry. :)
JAMES’ DIRT HOUSE! 😱🤣🤣🤣 thank you for the house tours I really enjoyed this! ❤️❤️❤️ and love that you use the name mod to help remember your name, really helpful-I actually do the same thing!
You nailed it on your builds! That mods is sweet! I hope they add it as a regular feature sometime
Amazing job!
Doc singing Deli's praises for 13mins straight... I love it!!!
Doc will never let James forget about the 'dirt house' 😂
Deli did an awesome job! That onset would have been a tough job and she killed it!! Looks amazing!! 🤩
The dirt house lmao
I think everything turned out beautifully, I really hope they continue to ask the game changers to help with building in the future.
The bathhouse is just laid out to logically and flows really well for the gameplay aspect of the hot springs and I love that about it. It’s very nice and I’m so glad we get that build in there instead of whatever EA would’ve tried and failed at

I agree! She is so talented and has made some amazing builds. I can't wait to get a hold of the pack!
They have a new woohoo in this pack! It's in a lil cave!
I agree with your rankings.

Right! I want a pond tool so bad!

I love all of delis builds and will be leaving them in my game 😍
Deli “gracey” (as you call her 😂) did a great job! 😊❤️
I agree with the order you put the builds in, I thought considering that this area would always be snowy the pool in the rental house didn't make too much sense, especially with that open roof, I think that's just where sims will go to die, though knowing deli, maybe that was the plan :D

Bathhouse, then vacation home and lastly the park. All builds are beautiful though.
Finally understand this "first" phenomenon. Love you Doc! Always enjoyable content ❤
Aww thank you!!
Doc you are amazing! Thank you for this great content and your incredible humor!
Totally agree. Ahah, think I may have to rename that lot 'the dirt house'.
Just so sad to see the dead plants in the onsen, wish they would have let her work on it with snow
#BlameJames for building that dirt house as a neighbor 😂
For me it’s the park last and i really love the bathhouse build she did
I agree on the number one bath house! 👍🏼🥰
Love your vid DrGluon :D
Aww thank you!
I (used to) frequently visit our local Korean bathhouse, and I have thought of trying to build it in the game. I think I'll give it a go now!!
Yes!! You totally should!
yes dr, i hope next time they have mod instead of names jumping aroud the screen they use dr gluon's head emoticon 😆
I hope you could do lilsimsie and Simlicy too. Thought it could be awkward if they get offended

I watched ads for you 🤣
Aww thank you! Hopefully they weren’t annoying Ads 😬
The buildings are average
Have you SEEN the prebuilt stuff in other packs? These are all amazing compared to other packs!
