Well the good news is that I haven’t read about anyone being stranded & eaten by sharks thus far, so they seem to have cracked the code for a successful trip
You can always count on deals on the buoy in Southern California. You’d be surprised how high they can get jumping out of the water. Then often land on one another & began fighting
Hey. I was looking at booking this but can’t find this answer? Do you jet ski back to Long Beach??? Or do you take the express and they tow the jet skis back for you?
I went with my husband. You got to be super fast in the rough ocean. You don't get to enjoy much. We didn't get to go to the caves,we just passed them. I tried stopping to admire but an argentina women just yelled, "LET'S GO, LET'S GO, LET"S GO" Also, my dream was to see dolphins and just stayed there for 4 minutes and they started rushing us to the island. Terrible experience. And I was excited about the trip and recommending it to friends but once I got back I told all my friends I did not recommend it. For my first time to have us drive really fast like pros, it was difficult.
Well I think everyone has different levels of health & strength so tough to say. If I remember correctly my arms & back were a little sore. Just enjoy the ride & deal with the pain the next day
There’s definitely a lot of up & down. Your arms, thighs, and posterior take the most beating though. I actually had blisters on my thumbs by the end of it

@@UntoldRoad Thanks for the reply. If you or any other independent groups are going on Labor Day in September, let me know. I hope to have my Garmin GPS/Depth unit with transducer and a waterproof dual band radio for the trip. Just let me know and we can team up. Again, great video!
@@RunAwayTraveler great question - it’s been so long I cannot remember. If you look at the outfitter page, you should be able to determine from the total time. You probably get an hour or 2 on the island so if it starts at 10 & return at 2, you can do the math
several have said it was really bumpy on one ski, with two riders, but I thought it was fine. The biggest challenge was following the pace of the guides. Adding a second added substantial cost while adding another rider was just $50.
I also thought it was fine & agree the guides were the biggest issue. I honestly thought the guides sucked & it would have been a lot better if the guides had a little more consistency

this pretty nuts considering a jet ski has a range of like 75-100 miles a round trip to Catalina is maybe 50 but that is still cutting it close.

How is that cutting it close? Do they not fuel at Catalina?
So Catalina has no fuel ? Lol

What company did you use?!
Jetski2Catalina
How old do you have to be for this ?
I don’t think there is an age limit - so long as you sign the waiver & wear a life jacket the kids should be fine

No dolphins on this day, but it’s a substantial ploy of water, and do entirely possible to see whales & dolphins
