Hey, thanks man! Awesome to hear your excitement. I think so too, 3D modeling in Virtual Reality, once it's really intuitive and doesn't lack important production functionality, will truly be the future of 3D modeling. :) And so, I decided to invest my time in studying and developing it.

    Hey Kushal,
This looks very promising.. I'm wondering, how is your project coming along? It's been a while since you showed this video.

Hey, thanks for your words of encouragement. I've been working on the project throughout the past months since this presentation, and I hope to launch it very soon. I am unable to give a definitive timeline for this right now, but I'm quite close.

so is this a plug in available in the marketplace?

Hey Jimmy. Nope, I'm designing it as a standalone application with file management, and import and export abilities when I'm ready to launch a beta, likely in a few months. Though if a lot of people are interested in this being available as an Unreal plugin, I might look into that at some point.

Awesome work! Especially like the pointcloud plus-signs.
Btw, there's already a Maya plugin called mOculus that does a similar thing if you're planning to develop plugins. moculus.io/

Hey, thanks! Yes, that's the Snap Grid, one of the first features I designed and coded, cause precision is very important to me. I'm not really looking to develop a plugin. At the moment, the aim is to continue its development as a standalone application that people in any field, Design, Architecture, Engineering and so on, can use without having to buy commercial software that this may otherwise depend on. I'm planning on releasing this for free, and eventually making it open source, as a healthy alternative to whatever modeling tool one of the major software companies in the game launches in the coming year.
