Ian, your good taste, imagination and abilities are amazing…that goes without saying, but I think what really makes your presentations so special is your humanity, humour and communication. Its as if you’re talking directly to me, (us). The video taping is perfect. Who does that, Jamie ? Thanks SO much. Northern Ontario

Jack is exactly right, today’s cars all look like jellybeans! I feel the same way about sixty through eighty cars, can name them in a glance vs todays gamble of what is that?! Nice simple mods, it looks clean and runs and rides nice so what more can there be? Thanks for taking us along brother, was definitely worth the watch!
    👍🏼👍🏼 from this guy… 😉✌🏼

I'm thinking of reversing the process from a two-door sports car to a four-door saloon car. Can you do it, and does the chassis need to be lengthened?🤔🤨

I remember seeing the Henry J and always thought the rear fins just looked like they got bent snd not a smooth line.
The Olds needed something to change the big flat sides. Maybe just a chrome shape like the similar years Pontiac.

Why ruin these wonderful old cars? No disrespect meant but when you drag the very last one out of a garage somewhere and butcher it, no matter how "cool" it is the fact it was over 60 or more years ago since it was made that original condition is lost forever.
Take a lesson from Chip Foose if you are thoughtful enough to pay attention to the guy that learned at the feet of the crusty Boyd Coddington and watch this. Chip bought an ALL ORIGINAL 1932 Model A with he 4 cylinder (no 8) and he an the old guy he bought it from agreed Chip would change the oil, fix the brakes, carb and such and keep it ORIGINAL all the way. Now Chip is an example. This old Olds was a particularly unique car in its day as were the Buicks and Pontiacs of the day.
I get it LS swap everybody does it. Auto trans everybody does it. Mod/destroy the dash you get it. Your work is nice but again this is one more survivor that died at the hands of a chop shop and whatever it looks like now is not original to the great designs of the time and the great artists that created them. I'm sorry as a youngster my dad was fascinated with this model and drover a bunch of them trying to get the right one. I always did and do think the Olds was very special.

You’re watching the wrong show if that’s what you’re into man. Overhaulin is more your speed. Everyone has their opinion and their take on rides but Ian is a hall of famer alongside Gene Winfield and such legends that guys like Boyd and Foose look up to and respect. I always saw Ian as more of an artist who uses vehicles as his medium vs other builders. To each their own brother. That’s what custom culture is. Build them how you want them not how other people think you should. Also I’m guessing you didn’t see the episode of Ian and Foose hanging out and these guys all are friends and know and respect each other and each others style. Trust me he doesn’t need a lesson from Foose and other way around.
