- I try to be postive, not too controversial, a little cheeky, in my videos (drawings) but once in a while… I gotta be meee!!! Not sure what happened there. Hope I don’t piss off too many of you.

I had the first few Oasis CDs. They were okay but I was not blown away. I am thinking about getting g their debut and revisit them and see what I was missing

HaHa!! Great stuff, i can't say i'm a fan, i have a couple of cds, i did go and see them when they played at Wembley in 2009, an old mate of mine finished with his mrs and came in the pub the saturday before concert, i have 3 tickets for Oasis, who wants to go? He was supposed to have been going with his mrs and her sister and husband but she inadvertantly packed the tickets in one of his bags when she kicked him out. We all had a fantastic time.

Hi Morten!!! I think i kind of agree with your thoughts about the "brothers" and the drama about all the things they or say about the other sibling or "rival" musicians..... to me they are two rude, ill mannered guys with good music skills that made them rich and the rest of the world have to deal with it. Now ticket prices, that's outrageous!!! Btw cool West Ham jersey, Steve Harris would be really proud. lol. cheers and be well

Hi Morten, as well as the ticket prices you have to factor in hotel costs which will be extortionate also. I never really understood the appeal of a band that didn't take music in a new direction but were instead very derivative. But they did know how to write a good singalong anthem.

I try and not do… negative too much, but some of the feedback from this reunion, I didn’t feel I could not be honest when getting a record in the midst of all this… hoopla. Which, again, wasn’t connected to that at all. Well, I guess it was but I, like most people, weren’t aware of that.

I would have to sell nearly all of my records, books & films if it was judged by the artists likeability. I can usually see past most artists revoltingness to enjoy the art, but if they're particularly revolting that it overshadows everything else I'll drop 'em. If Oasis's music had as much firepower as the brothers feuds with everyone & everything they'd be brilliant. They are often unintentionally hilarious I'll give them that. My first exposure to Britpop was Blur's Leisure & Suede's debut. Much more interesting bands. I'd prefer to hang out with the Gallagher brothers than Gene Simmons though.
@@benrankins4446 Very well said Ben. Wish I’d said that about as much firepower as their feuds. And yes, they often are hillarious, just look at Liam walking. Just not to keen on people who intentionally hurt others for their own satisfaction. My mother was one such person, that may be part of my disdain for them.
My first exposure was nearly the exact same as yours, just switch Leisure with Modern Life is Rubbish. That first Suede album… wow. Brett and Bernard. That whole Justine Frischman thing, that was drama enough for epic music.
I guess I’d be more keen on that too, Ace and Peters descriptions of the body odor and pettyness of Mr. Simmons really made me go… uuurgh!

hmmmm....I guess I didn't follow Oasis that closely when they were still together. I love What's The Story and Definitely Maybe and I like some of the other albums. The Liam Gallagher solo albums have been fantastic. Two of my favorites from the past couple years. I've seen a couple Liam Gallagher interviews and he was really likable in both of them. I guess I could ask you to list the things they've done that turned you off so badly but I don't think I want to know. Most people have some bad moments in their lives. Anyway, I look forward to a video from you where you talk about a band you like!

Hi morton tend to agree with you about oasis got good memories of the time me and kuds mum listening to definitely maybe and whats the story morning glory they are good memories. But as you said they are not very likable as people and im i certainly enjoyed the blur reunion and new album alot . Did try and get tickets for oasis but after 6 hours i got to buying stage and price had been hiked up to nearly triple original price so i was out and not devastated im not going kind of happy. I saw blur at Wembley last year and that was amazing . Yes you can like bands and musicians music but you don’t have to like tgem as humans. Thanks joe

@@MortenAastad hi morton thats great a blur video coming. Ive always thought that about oasis and i also found blur more interesting and also pulp . I have just recently seen noel Gallagher at Warwick castle he was good but honestly i was there to see johnny marr who was on just before and i loved seeing johnny marr . I left after 5 songs from noel Gallagher as seen him before supporting U2 so wasn’t bothered to stay to end lol also seen liam Gallagher and number of years ago headlining and i left early unimpressed with him . I have bought the 30th anniversary definitely maybe on vinyl 4 lp set as i got a great price pre order on amazon around 20 pounds cheaper than its going for now and the records 3 and 4 are good and happy to have . Look forward to more of your videos including blur. Thanks joe

I was lucky to meet johnny married a few years ago on his album release tour at rough trade records Nottingham for a signing he was the nicest celebrity ive ever met so nice to everyone signing everything and having smiling happy to meet you and he noticed from my accent i was from northern Ireland and said to me i have friends there what part you from and signed my copy of his new album good luck joe from johnny marr as that’s what we say to each other in northern Ireland. What a lovely guy the queue was so long and he was like thst right to end as my son alex friend met hom much later at end of queue and he was exactly the same happy to meet and sign . Have got any of his solo albums after smiths? I wasn’t a big smiths fan back in day but can listen now would have preferred johnny marr as lead singer and guitarist lol true tho . Kind regards joe

I couldn't stand Oasis back in the day (neither the music nor the musicians), but, in all fairness, I didn't really like Brit pop in general. I did like some bands (like Suede) and a couple of songs here and there, but the whole scene (including all the drama and rivalries among the artists and fandoms) just didn't appeal to me.
@@This-Is-Music Suede are very much top of the heap for me, but I didn’t think they belonged in that category? That first album was both a different creature and of a different time to me. Same with The Charlatans and maybe some others. But I would agree, I was still listening to my Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam and good ol’ Rolling Stones around this time anyhow 😊
Hi Morten, i actually like Oasis plus all the post Oasis material by Liam and Noel...
yes, they were complete assholes but they appear to have mellowed with age from recent interviews i have seen.
i think it is/was their attitudes that turned the world off them right at the time everyone was embracing them.
i saw Oasis twice, on one occasion they were abysmal, the other time they were great.
glad you mentioned Ocean Colour Scene also, "mosely shoals" is a masterpiece IMO.
i think "heathen chemistry" was Oasis' best album, im not a fan of "definitely maybe"...

Morten, l agree totally. I love the band but both the Gallagher brothers come across as dickheads. Most of it is bluster and playing up for the camera. The solo stuff is much better. I didn't even try to buy a ticket. I think they'll do the gigs as the money generated is huge but they are already fighting again.😂 There's a box set version l'm going to get.

Ehr… I’m an Iron Maiden fan? When Stoke disappeared down the divisions way before internet, I sort of tried following someone else, and Iron Maiden support West Ham. Honestly don’t follow football as you know, but that was the primary reason 😊
