One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that you shouldn't have your back against the void when taking fights, try to position yourself so you can't get yourself hit into the void!
For new players, protection is a good investment, but, they will also be playing against people similar to their level, if they can trade hits sharpness is a lot better. However, only 4 diamonds can spawn in a gen, so It makes sense to get protection, so you can get a trap.
I'd like to give a few interesting tips (my personal opinion): *Experiment with everything.* I remember still playing Bedwars and I still use bridge eggs, diamond armor sometimes; but to be honest, just experiment. That's it. You can use silverfish, you can use dream defenders, you can be as aggressive or passive as you want. Even if you do go passive, There are several things you can do to still win. For example: if you do go passive, it's still best to get your first rush out, and stay defensive the rest of the games afterwards to prevent other teams going for you. You can also stack for resources, and possibly, it might be the best choice when you know who you're fighting against. I would recommend passive gameplay, just if you know how to do it properly. (I'm not sure if I might be correct on this so you can comment about this section,) but if you are aggressive, then I think you would have to be confident in your knowledge based around proper usage of items, resources, pvp and when to use pvp. In some situations, pvp isn't necessary. You can use fireballs, knockback sticks, bows (maybe?), And traps, if you're just bored I guess :/ I think the best thing to do is to learn and/or make different styles of gameplay so you have more options in a serious situation.
I love silverfish, they're not good for pvp (although I did once manage to line one up to knock someone off of their bridge from afar lol) but they work really well as a distraction. Personally, they work best when someone is forward rushing you through diamond gen island and you're at your base and you need more time to get resources/prepare so you chuck one or two silverfishes at the diamond gen island to buy you a few more seconds as they kill them off
I’m on an entirely different server with entirely different prices, generator speeds, and items, but this still helped a lot! I need to learn how to start getting the high ground and learning how to do pvp.

This is like a mini lecture on the important bits. Make sure to watch this video and the 10 tips for bedwars video of Intel's thoroughly too. Tips from this and his 10 tips for bedwars video: - Double jumps are useful. -Blocking off from the bed is good for getting a combo on the enemy (usually from the bed but can be anywhere if done right.) -When blocking someone off (placing a block on the front of the enemy to stop them from moving), stop for a moment when the block is placed to not block yourself off -Block someone inside their base to give yourself time to break their bed and heal. -Hit someone once then s tap on the second hit to deal tons of knockback (only works if you don't get hit.) -For 12 and 16 iron rush maps, get 4 iron for blocks to defend the bed and bridge a little, then go back to gen to get the rest of the iron. -When on a bridge fight and you're on a ledge and they're above you and about to hit you off, you can time sprinting and going forwards the moment before they hit you. If timed right, you will take no knockback and be able to beat the person. -When using ladders, you can shift and right-click on the ladder in front of you with a block. What this does is it places a place behind you. This can help you in bridge fights so you don't get hit off. -When bridging to the first rush, check halfway bridging to check where the enemy is and how to respond when they are. -Continuation to the last tip. If you notice that they have the high ground, space yourself from them before going up to contest the high ground. -When you lose your bed, if you're on a fast iron map and your enemy still wants to kill you, get chain armor and an iron sword and, if you can, go to the diamond gens to get prot and heal pool. If you survive, rush the enemy again. -Magic milk is beneficial. -Actively upgrade diamond upgrades to be harder to kill and have an easier time killing people. -Actively question yourself on who the biggest threat in the game is. The first one is obviously your first rush, after that, you should watch the other teams and try to see who the biggest threat is. -Speed makes it easier to combo. -Bridge eggs are useful -When you are a final, get as stacked as possible before going for other people (be passive.)
Diamond upgrades are very important, especially when fighting the last team. You never know how much diamonds you really needed until it's too late. It's very easy to get steam rolled by your opponent once you're caught lacking diamond upgrades.
Water buckets can really help with a incoming TNT, a lot of people think they are invincible if they have tnt and they are securing a bed, but a well placed water underneath the TNT can help stop it. Water can also help if you are trying to clutch if you arent that good at ladder clutching (like me.) Another thing I wanted to add is that I don't think you should ever get chain armor unless you have an overwhelming amount of iron to spare, it can be used to get tools, blocks, and fireballs. And one last tip, Alarm traps can be useful in doubles+ because it can reveal invis, keep in mind that this is very situational.
