Maggie, In Pittsburgh I volunteer at a place called Foster Love Project. Young adults, kids, or babies, that are being placed in foster care and most of the time have nothing with them are able to go through our building and “shop” (it’s free) for clothes, hair, makeup supplies, backpacks, toys , etc., maybe Boston has something similar to send donations because it’s extremely rewarding!

For donations you should look into the locals women’s shelters and rape crisis centers. I’m sure they always need supplies.
balsamic tip (that i just found out)…balsamic glaze is just cooked balsamic vinegar. so you coule probably heat some up in a pan and wait for it to get thicker!

ugh bad news but the traffic from logan is only gonna get worse because they're renovating the sumner tunnel and it will be closed for two whole months starting july 5 ahhhhh
They go moldy because you store them in plastic , just wash them throw them in the bottom drawer
You can keep the lemons in the water they stay fresh longer or juice them and put them in ice cube trays so it is easier to use for iced drinks.

As soon as you buy the lemons squeeze them Into a mason jar and use as you need from your fridge, this is how I avoid letting lemons / limes rot :)

Take the lemons out of the plastic bag.
It happened when they weren’t in the plastic also!
Try putting the lemons in a glass filled with cold water, in the fridge. That’s how I store mine and they last for a month.

Sometimes there’s one bad lemon on the bottom that goes unnoticed. Also, when I don’t feel like cutting I use ingrilli organic lemon from concentrate or I prep sliced lemons and keep some brewed in a glass with water with the other slices in a plastic bag.

Ok. I’m very sorry you have ever stayed on South Beach. Speaking as someone who lives in Miami; South Beach is not what it once was. Now it’s just trashy. Brickell and Cocoanut Grove are definitely where you should stay. There is also some beautiful places on Key Biscayne. Just some advice from a Miami native. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I live in Montreal…however Boston is home to the first women’s shelter in the US: “Rosie’s Place”.
There is also “Women’s Lunch Place” on Newbury street.
Also, “Dress for Success Boston”. They equip women who are trying to re-enter the workforce with professional attire and accessories…a way of empowering them…helping to break the cycle of poverty.

A lot of us here in Boston bring our items to Goodwill. They have many locations. I actually have a bunch of clothes I need to bring there myself.
St. Francis House homeless shelter on Boylston street - you literally just drop the clothes right in the front with security
