After my first MF trip in 2005, we stopped in Stanley on the way home and I purchased the DVD version of this. I watched it and took notes on my guidebook for my next trip in 2007 and it was really helpful for a low water trip, especially for avoiding getting hung up on the upper section. It was like having the secret sauce floating through Shinbone Alley while others in my party were getting stuck left and right. Stopped in Stanley for a meal on the way home and in walks Brad Frei who I recognized from the video. It was fun to get to shake his hand and thank him for the virtual assist! The DVD set covers all 99 miles.
One main trip we tried to pirate the neighbors camp pirate flag and got busted. They retaliated and got our Porto Seat... The true meaning of "Groover" was evident after that camp.. Great video BTW
Only real boat wreck I was ever in was in Power House. Wrapped on the rock he skirts to the right at the bottom of the bottom set. I had broke an oar in the upper section and saw it floating. Tried to grab it and next thing we're on that rock. 24" tubes on a 14' cat The upstream tube's oar stand was a foot under water. Luckily we were able to get a throw line to the shore and work on corners until we got enough water under the boat to come off the rock. Not sure how we stayed upright when we came off but we did.
how is this a complete guide? isnt this just a very small part of the river? some people even consider velvet the first real rapid and its all the way at the end of your video...
This is Brad Frei the owner. Please keep this posted. I hope everyone enjoys and helps
Thank you, Brad!

Awesome video
Good video. Thank you for posting. BTW. Shoots is spelled Chutes. I know this because it has my number! Always a spot where backwards is normal.
August 21 2003. We intended to film again in May of 2004 but were denied our request by FS.
What year was this filmed?
