Maybe there are others but you are the only one I know that replies to comments. I think that is so thoughtful especially when it takes a lot of time to do so. I really appreciate your work and your encouraging remarks.
Well, I am truly grateful that anyone spends time watching my videos. Honestly. TH-cam has been the surprise of my career, having only really found my footing in the past few years. So when you spend time watching I want to thank you!
I love the new release stamps and I really enjoyed your watercolor tutorial. Those bunnies are just the cutest but I love all the new stamps. Beautiful cards.
Such an elegant card CZ. The black card base and the colors for the macarons is jaw dropping for sure. And the envelope, pah-leeze! A sweet treat for the recipient! I didn't know I could have a favorite video from you because I like them all!
Such cute cards and I am loving Colorado Craft Company stamps. Have seen them in quite a few postings over the last several months and they just get cuter and cuter.
I've never eaten a macaron but I love the pretty colors. I love your videos and your craft room/dining room. At 76 years old, I have my first designated craft room. Before that, it was a table in the corner of the living room. I adore these stamps (used one for the hubby's Valentine card) and the fact that they are so easy to watercolor for a non-expert like me. Just keep on keeping it real, Cathy. We love your style. I can't imagine the happiness of winning five of these stamps. Wow!
Lovely and what a difference with the sentiment placement - oh my goodness...something I totally struggle with! After watching this a lightbulb went off in my head (I have an idea for you!). I think it would be fabulous if you started a video series where you help other cardmakers place their elements, i.e. sentiments (at least that’s what I always need the most help with lol). I love stamping, water coloring, Copic coloring, die-cutting ALL THE THINGs and I end up with all these beautiful elements but struggle to put them into a cohesive design. My most common issue is with sentiments. I can’t decide what size, die cut or stamp or emboss, what color to stamp sentiments in (black on white or white on black), where to put it etc. I would love it if I could send you photos of my cards and watch you give suggestions about how to finish it out with your wonderful eye for design. I’m guessing many other cardmakers would jump on this too. Kind of like Kristina Werner’s mail call but with design tips. Let me know if you want to try it and I will send you some examples - I have at least three that I’m struggling with right now ha! You could call the series, “I started a card, now what?” “I painted a thing, now what” Or something like that. :)
I have just fell in love with these tiny adorable mice and bunnies. Your Easter card is so sweet and I also love that you watercolored it. Thanks for sharing your talents!!
So much appreciate that you spent time explaining watercolor painting technique, *and* that the video title tips exactly what technique the viewer will learn (with the sentiment placement as a bonus). Thanks from a noob.
These are very cute cards. Can’t wait to get the ink cubes for the latest 4 colors of distress inks. My local scrapbook store carries these stamps and I have several. Of course I do live in Colorado so hey, Colorado Craft Company!
I love pastel colors. Spring is my favorite time of year and all of these images would work well in pastels. Wow. The importance of sentiment placement could not have been more clear. Good inspiration Cathy. Have a good week.
Wow ! It never would’ve occurred to me to stamp the sentiment so close to the images, but it REALLY works ! No doubt about it. I have the birthday stamp set from this collection, and it’s the only card I’ve ever watercolored. I used the distress inks; even used the same color for the bunnies. Thanks for the lesson on sentiment placement - it’s a game changer !
Another wonderful card as usual! I love how you are gaining confidence with your watercolor painting. I think we all aspire to paint like Kristina, at least I sure do! Thanks for your wonderful clear and easy to understand tips and explanations.
I really enjoyed your light touch in painting with distress inks. I'm inspired to take mine out and give it a go! I love the new images from Colorado Craft Company. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Cathy, I really enjoyed your tutorial. You might think this a bit strange but I find your voice and accent very soothing and calming. I try to watch one of your videos before I go to bed to relax me, please keep the videos coming I love them.
Oh, that is high praise! And that doesn't sound weird. I'm actually a big fan of ASMR and have been watching certain channels for a number of years, before bed, for the wind down time. : )
I look forward to your tutorials. Your heart makes my day, and you have a way of helping folks like myself feel less intimidated about card making! I’ve had a big shot for two years now, not a lot of supplies at all. When I get the courage to go stand in front of it...I get brain freeze, look at the basic shape dies that came with it and stare. I don’t know what to do with squares, circles, stars, and rectangles...
I just watched this again and am thankful for the reminder about sentiment placement. I'm getting ready to watercolor this image and I'll wait to stamp my greeting until I've finished painting. Thank you for your down-to-earth suggestions that make our card designs better.
I always think, I love this, but I'll never be able to (insert whatever). But watching you paint these whimsical rabbits gives me courage to try, to just go with the flow.
I really like the hand drawn look of the stamps, makes them look like a classic story book picture. Thank you for another beautiful tutorial and a look at these new stamps. :)
I love your water coloring technique with the distressed inks. I never think to use Mina as a total water color. Great job on both cards!! And I just LOVE your crafting humor! You are a hoot and add so much excitement 😍 to the crafting community 😄
I always enjoy your videos and this one makes watercolor look easy. I've been loving on the Anita Jeram stamps since they came out. They are just so sweet. Take care of your back. It is hard to sit and craft when your back hurts. Hugs.
It's so helpful that you showed three placement options for the Easter card sentiment and explained why the third option was preferable. I used the same stamp for Easter cards this year, and would have changed where I put my sentiment if I'd watched this video first!
I almost feel ‘normal’ when I watch your videos... I sometimes stamp my sentiment on a separate piece of paper so I can move it around before I stamp it on the final card! Those Big and Bolds make amazing slimline cards😉
These cards are absolutely fabulous. You make it look so easy. I think that I “over-think” my cards because it takes me forever to make just one! Thank you for the inspiration. Hope your back is better, Cathy.
I'm learning to watercolour and just love the Anita Jeram illustrations. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on placement of words - something I never considered.
My husband said OOOOHHH HAMBURGERS !!! He's so silly, we watch enough of those cooking shows he should know what a Macaron is. Love the coloring. I've never seen this company before I'll have to check out their stuff. Always something new to spend my pension check on.
Not only was it great to watch you make two, very different, cards they are available in the U.K. Thanks too for explaining the sentiment placement, it looked weird but I didn’t know why - now I do. I’m going to try and remember to place my sentiment last in future 😊
Thanks so much for sharing these beautiful stamps and cards, they’re absolutely beautiful!!! I’ve always wanted to try them out! The Easter bunny stamp is so cute! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring so many of us!!!😊❤️
Ha! Love that. True story: I didn't go to design school either. Journalism degree. Funny how careers can twist and turn! I can write a good article lead with the best of them!
According to my mother...Macaroons are a single layer cookie, either coconut or almond flavor. Macarons (ends with Rons) are 2 cookies with a soft icing type layer between the cookies.
I love the 1st fingernail polish! I don’t know for sure, but I think there are coconut macaroon’s, and French macaron’s. The first one sounds more like moon, while the 2nd is like the guy Ron! Thank you again for the design tips!
I’m just falling in love again with watercoloring although I’m not too good at it and as you say the distress inks are so easy to use. The images are so sweet (ha ha) and I would be happy to try my hand at painting them. Great blog.
Absolutely awesome cards !!! I feel like I've become a real Cathy Z stalker . . every video is both a learning experience and FUN all rolled into one - and anytime learning is fun it's a good thing (right)
Absolutely LOVED this video, the tips, the cards, your calming voice... I'm a fan all the way around! It was really fun to see you do a card of this style, which you typically don't do. Really inspired me to step out of my comfort zone. You rock!
I like your first placement the best. Super cute, both cards and the envelope!
So calming to just watch you watercolor and listen to you. Happens when I watch Kristina Werner too! Love this new release! Thank you for sharing!
That is HIGH praise. She is a master!
I love the new release stamps and I really enjoyed your watercolor tutorial. Those bunnies are just the cutest but I love all the new stamps. Beautiful cards.

My first Cathy Zielske video. First of many, I hope. I enjoy your sense of humor!
Welcome aboard!
I love both cards! Painting with the reinkers was lovely. The muted colors are perfect. TY for sharing your talent with all of us.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have just fell in love with these tiny adorable mice and bunnies. Your Easter card is so sweet and I also love that you watercolored it. Thanks for sharing your talents!!
Thank you so much!

Cathy, I LOVE your videos! Your sense of humor makes me watch even if it's something I don't think I would ever tackle. Thank U!
I'm so glad!
I could watch you create all day long!
I so love every single video you produce, they are so fun! But seriously, you make everything look so simple. I love distress ink for watercolor!
So much appreciate that you spent time explaining watercolor painting technique, *and* that the video title tips exactly what technique the viewer will learn (with the sentiment placement as a bonus). Thanks from a noob.
Glad it was helpful!
These are very cute cards. Can’t wait to get the ink cubes for the latest 4 colors of distress inks. My local scrapbook store carries these stamps and I have several. Of course I do live in Colorado so hey, Colorado Craft Company!
Cathy your cards are delightful. I love them both. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.❤️🤗

Wow! Exciting to see you mastering watercolor painting! Yay & hugs!
Yay, thank you!
I love all of your hints! Shading, placement of sentiment and rubbing your new stamps to remove the residue. So helpful
Debby Tool!! I got mine two days ago and I was able to use this tool yesterday!! It was AWESOME!! My hands thank you and Debby for this tool!!!♥️♥️
Enjoy it
Wow...thanks for the distress ink/painting clues!! Who knew. I enjoy you!
Another wonderful card as usual! I love how you are gaining confidence with your watercolor painting. I think we all aspire to paint like Kristina, at least I sure do! Thanks for your wonderful clear and easy to understand tips and explanations.
Yes I love watching her paint with Distress Inks and I feel like I have learned a lot from her, but she is a master for sure!
I really enjoyed your light touch in painting with distress inks. I'm inspired to take mine out and give it a go! I love the new images from Colorado Craft Company. Thanks for sharing!
Short O! Macaroons (long O) are those delightful coconut things. I LOVE how delicate these colors look.
I knew it felt wrong when I said it! Maracon. Now I know!
@@czdesign another to be confused with Macron, president of France. 😂😂😂 (Though he is a rather tasty bit, too!)
Yes, my MIL loves (coconut) macaroons. They’re easy to make but a sticky mess for the fingers. I far prefer the texture & flavour of macarons
Fabulous! Love the new CCC release! And I love to watercolor, too 😉
i love ALL of anita jeram's stamps.....sooooo sweet. and your videos are fantastic....funny, informative and forgiving. keep 'em coming
Thanks so much!

Oh my! You just gave me a great idea, LisaDawn! A card with just some basic shapes! adding that to my idea list!
I just watched this again and am thankful for the reminder about sentiment placement. I'm getting ready to watercolor this image and I'll wait to stamp my greeting until I've finished painting. Thank you for your down-to-earth suggestions that make our card designs better.
Thank you for the video and the tips. Especially the sentiment tip. This Bunny loves the Anita Jeram bunnies.
Your distress ink coloring was great to watch. I can't wait to try it. The stamps are really cute!

Take care of your back. It is hard to sit and craft when your back hurts. Hugs.
It is MUCH better. I think I had a weird night were it tweaked and then woke up, no issues. Grateful for that!
It's so helpful that you showed three placement options for the Easter card sentiment and explained why the third option was preferable. I used the same stamp for Easter cards this year, and would have changed where I put my sentiment if I'd watched this video first!
I love the distress ink watercolor method!! Great job!
I almost feel ‘normal’ when I watch your videos... I sometimes stamp my sentiment on a separate piece of paper so I can move it around before I stamp it on the final card! Those Big and Bolds make amazing slimline cards😉

Thanks, Rose! It's much better! And I think just picking simple colors and sticking to that can help!

I'm not sure of water colouring but I do find it easier with the Distress inks. Thank you for the tip xxx
My husband said OOOOHHH HAMBURGERS !!! He's so silly, we watch enough of those cooking shows he should know what a Macaron is. Love the coloring. I've never seen this company before I'll have to check out their stuff. Always something new to spend my pension check on.
Mine said the exact same thing!
They do look kind of like burgers
Love these stamps. Colorado craft co has wonderful stamps. TFS
Where do you order Colorado Craft items9?
I have several of her stamp sets with bunnies, love how you watercolored them with tea dye. They look great! Will have to give it a try.
Please do!
Not only was it great to watch you make two, very different, cards they are available in the U.K. Thanks too for explaining the sentiment placement, it looked weird but I didn’t know why - now I do. I’m going to try and remember to place my sentiment last in future 😊

Super designs! Love them.
Thanks Cathy the bunnies are adorable 😊
Glad you like them!
Fabulous yet again Cathy
Look not all of us are design majors so all 3 looked fantastic to my eye. Enjoyed the painting and agree I need to do that more as well.
Ha! Love that. True story: I didn't go to design school either. Journalism degree. Funny how careers can twist and turn! I can write a good article lead with the best of them!
Me encanta tu trabajo!!! No me pierdo ninguno de tus excelentes videos.
Gracias!
Thank you!!! I am encouraged to try watercolor. LOVE these stamp sets and hope to add them to my collection. They are timeless
Wonderful!
I always learn something new and feel inspired to push my comfort zone. Love these cards 🥰
I'm so glad!
I am new to disstress inks, so I am glad that you are showing how else to use them
I was, too, about four years ago. I truly think they are a remarkable ink for so many different types of crafty things.
Love all the stamps...trying to behave...so many stamps, so little time🤷♀️. Cute cards👍🏻
Great water coloring, I had not thought of using TH inks!
According to my mother...Macaroons are a single layer cookie, either coconut or almond flavor. Macarons (ends with Rons) are 2 cookies with a soft icing type layer between the cookies.
Fabulous cards! Love your paintings...I really like the idea that I use my inks and not have to buy actual watercolor paints.
Those are lovely! Very impressive!
Loved your cards and these new stamp sets!
I love the 1st fingernail polish! I don’t know for sure, but I think there are coconut macaroon’s, and French macaron’s. The first one sounds more like moon, while the 2nd is like the guy Ron! Thank you again for the design tips!
Thanks for the info!
thank you for your insight on greeting placement! I'm always stumped when it comes to the greeting.
I love that bunny set. My local stamp store has been making valentines with it. You colored them beautifully
Oh thank you!
Love all the stamp sets 💕. Beautiful coloring 👌
Thanks so much 😊
Great cards Cathy! I love watching you paint with the distress inks, it gives me confidence to give it a try.
Two great cards. I love the distress ink painting. The characters are just adorable! Be safe!
Thank you so much!
I’m just falling in love again with watercoloring although I’m not too good at it and as you say the distress inks are so easy to use. The images are so sweet (ha ha) and I would be happy to try my hand at painting them. Great blog.
So cute. I'm gonna follow your lead and do more painting. Those images are so sweet!
Please do!
Absolutely awesome cards !!! I feel like I've become a real Cathy Z stalker . . every video is both a learning experience and FUN all rolled into one - and anytime learning is fun it's a good thing (right)
YES!
Absolutely LOVED this video, the tips, the cards, your calming voice... I'm a fan all the way around! It was really fun to see you do a card of this style, which you typically don't do. Really inspired me to step out of my comfort zone. You rock!
Wow! Thanks, Judy! When folks say my voice is calming, that makes me happy! I don't want people to feel stressed so that is GOOD!
