I think it performs well even with just that one mic. DJI takes audio very seriously. I noticed recently that the bitrate used for Action 2 audio is twice that used in the Pocket 2, which shows that they want it to sound good.

Hey Mike! I'm not an audiophile by any stretch, I still think in terms of "cycles" rather than "Hertz." Having said that I know what sounds good to me and what doesn't. I thought the audio in the vehicle was great, outside, even in the wind, well past acceptable. As far as wind dampening - what about something along the lines of the GoPro Floaty but make from some sort of wind killing foam? As you can probably tell, I haven't actually seen an Action 2. I would expect DJI will come up with something sooner rather than later. As usual, great report, thanks!
Hello there i got an issue.My front microphone of the DJI Action 2 screen isnt working sometimes.So i need to connect the module and have audio.Do i need to change anything on the settings
No it should use all mics all the time. Sorry I can't quite recall so have a look in settings under audio to see if there are any preferences you can set, ie there may be an 'auto' or there may be a 'manual' where you select the mic you prefer - I can't recall off the top of my head.
Its not my thing but it sounded ok to me. The sound in the car and out in the carpark was nearly as good a quality as in the studio so not bad for a little camera.
