I love music from the 1950s until the early 1990s and this is one of the best dance numbers ever made. Some of the best music was made by one hit wonders as this one is. Being a vinyl collector this wasn't issued on a 45 in the USA so I had to have the record store order one from the UK. No way was I not going to have this gem on vinyl. Still have it today.

It was an innocent time when we didn't have social media and people weren't so afraid of each other. I feel like these kids that grow up today really miss something important that we took for granted. I feel like we really know what it was like to fall in love in a deep way. This song reminds me of when the future felt so bright that my heart could well up so big that could explode. It invokes my favorite emotion, which is being happy and sad at the same time.
Fantastic and finding this is like finding an old friend. Had the "cassingle" and listened to it nonstop. Still holds up as a great pop track, and one of the best of that decade for sure. Might do a cover of it for fun, although nothing will hold a candle to the original. This is coming back on heavy rotation for me :-)

Back when I was in college, I was taking an anthropology class that stated on the syllabus that one could submit a presentation as a song. The teacher once lamented that nobody had ever done so...idea light over my head.... I wrote a rough example of one, just to show it could be done..."Temptation" became an overview of genetic change called "Mutation". My teacher about lost it and my classmates loved it.
I remember being 17 and I was at camp. We were riding up to Hinkley, MN and this song came on KDWB before the signal went out. Summer of 91…Summer of my senior year. 31 years ago. Shit.

Kids asked what I was listening to and I took the headphones out so they could hear it.
