The answer may makes many people emotional. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She auditioned with Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" followed by an Acapella performance of Billie Holiday's "I'm a Fool to Want You". She was 7 years old for both performances. Her birthday is January 6th, so her next two performances she had turned 8 (barely). She performed Sony & Cher's "Bang, Bang" (made popular by Nancy Sinatra). She performs barefoot because a promise she made to a poor Iranian girl when she was six years old. She met this girl who was weighing people for money. After talking to this girl about their dreams, the girl dreamed of being a doctor and Angelina told her dream of wanting to sing for the world. Angelina, at six, took off her favorite pair of boots and gave them to the girl as she had no shoes at all. She promised the girl that she would perform barefoot as long as there were shoeless children in the world! "Bad Valentine" Piano Diaries is the most recent and comes from her musical roots. As far as style Angelina can sing anything often better than the original. Her jazz upbringing comes out in varying degrees in most of her songs. Her songwriting and lyrics are stunning, esp for someone her age---and yes she is an "old soul". As far as her style, other than jazz being the foundation she cannot be put in a "box" nor do I believe there is a "bar" for her either. This is the "mother of all rabbit holes" if you choose it as there are so many performances from 7 to 18 years of age that are mind blowing one really has to experience it. For I Put A Spell On You - Angelina was 9 years old - Her nationality is Norwegian but is fluent in English even at this age - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the vocal arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version and communicated to the band how she wanted it to be played - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes "her wishes" and it is read by the recording producer/engineer. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. Appeared on Norway's Got Talent at age 7, won at age 8. Appeared on AGT Champions at age 13. Got her love for the classic music from her Grandmother. Described as an old soul, to which I agree. I Put a Spell on You has been covered by at least 200 artists, some good, some not so good. I used to think the only ones worth listening to were CCR and Nina Simone. That was until I heard Angelina's interpretation. Her's is the most faithful to the 1956 original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on TH-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on TH-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage. On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE. In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield"). So, she is a real all-rounder and I think all her fans are eager to see and hear what she is doing next...

@kevinty7 Gloomy Sunday, also known as the Hungarian suicide song. This is one of four performances on NGT that brought her widespread attention, but for me, the mix in this recording has her voice overpowered by the music too much for me to hear clearly. If you have the same experience don't give up on her because there are three other performances in Norway's Got Talent that watched back to back show just how fast her abilities grew just in the time she was there. She went from 7 to 8 during this period of time but by comparing the first, middle two, and last performance of Summertime, well, it's just astounding how fast she improved from an already very high start. Her pich accuracy in her second a capella performance is remarkable. Her wide vibrato, her rasp, the deep, rich tone for someone so young, it's astounding. By the time she is 10 and 11, she is literally a world-class vocalist. Maybe you don't believe me but if you stay with her you will.

There are four young ladies I admire, love and follow, Angelina and Villarreal sisters (The Warning). All of them started their careers very young 10 years ago, Angelina 7, Alejandra 9, Paulina 12 and Daniela 14. But it was to the audience, all of them started before, around 6. There are many other coincidences between they. Of course, talent, dedication, hard work, humanity and empathy... and probably the big key to their success, their family environment, values and support.
You kind of have it backwards. First of all, she does the arrangements, the band follows her, not the other way around. Secondly, they call her the girl with a thousand voices for a reason, she can sing anything, she doesn’t sound like this on every song, it is unfair to say you don’t care for that particular style of singing, listen to one of her other songs and you know what I mean.

In terms of jazz it wouldn’t be the first genre of music I would turn to if I fancied listening to something but that’s not to say I dislike it. Maybe Angelina will be my lead into becoming more of a jazz fan.👍🏽

Hey Kevin, I'm glad to read what you WANTED to SAY, given your response to Adair's comment and your willingness to learn is a huge plus. However, I also understand Adair (whose comment is probably a bit harsh considering you're a newbie) and other Angels who are offended by your comments (who held back though), because this is what you ACTUALLY said: "Okay, well I think I just need to just be careful with how I word what I want to say here. I think cuz there is issue that I have and but it's NOT JUST WITH ANGELINA JORDAN and this song. I ALWAYS just feel a little bit uncomfortable with very very young children singing songs that they probably don't really know what they're singing." So bottom line: you have problems with young singers INCLUDING Angelina (without knowing her) and the words "sing ALONG with a band" (to someone who at 10yo worked with Norway's national radio symphony orchestra uhd national stars like Alan Walker and Alexander Rybak) and "looking forward to see more from her a little bit older" (implying the amazing things she did from 8-10 are worthless) ain't helpful either. So I think you only got off lightly because the Angels are an understanding and mostly positive fanbase - but also very protective. Now I'm curious to see your next reaction.

Angelina however is not one of those, she has been singing since 18 months of age and could speak multi languages at a very young age. Trained in vocal management very young and was pretty much ready by the age of 5, yes 5 as stated by her mother Sara. Entered national competition NGT at 7 yo only because that was the minimum age, and won at 8 yo with 46% of the vote out of the last 10 finalists. Yup, with the competition it was pretty much clear that it was all over by her second song. Her vocals were just insane.

Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may makes many people emotional. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She auditioned with Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" followed by an Acapella performance of Billie Holiday's "I'm a Fool to Want You". She was 7 years old for both performances. Her birthday is January 6th, so her next two performances she had turned 8 (barely). She performed Sony & Cher's "Bang, Bang" (made popular by Nancy Sinatra). She won the competition with her performance of George Gershwin's "Summertime". She performs barefoot because a promise she made to a poor Iranian girl when she was six years old. She met this girl who was weighing people for money. After talking to this girl about their dreams, the girl dreamed of being a doctor and Angelina told her dream of wanting to sing for the world. Angelina, at six, took off her favorite pair of boots and gave them to the girl as she had no shoes at all. She promised the girl that she would perform barefoot as long as there were shoeless children in the world! Twelve years later she still performs barefoot in honor of that promise - there are a couple times she is not barefoot for reasons like venue wouldn’t allow it or she’s brought on stage for a song or two and it’s not her headlined performance, etc. At age nine she published a book about the experience “Between Two Hearts” and became the youngest published author in Norway.
You will be inundated with comments and song suggestions from her fans who are her “Angels”. Her Angels are very passionate about her as many are father/mother to great-great-grandfather/grandmother age - and we all adore her as if she were one of our kids/grandkids.
You really can’t go wrong with any song of hers you choose. She always puts her mark on covers while paying absolute respect to the original. You’ll get a great many requests for her songs and they are all great! I’m 58 years old and have never been captured by a voice like I have been by Angelina. I ‘found’ her in January of 2020 while watching young folks reacting to legends like The Righteous Brothers and this video thumbnail of a little (13 yo) girl sitting on a blue couch popped up and I decided to click it. This cover of “I’d Rather go Blind” absolutely blew my mind. Since that day I’ve barely listened to anyone else. Seoul Muse Festival Opened for Norah Jones at age 11. She sang “I Put a Spell on You” in front of 40,000 attendees. My understanding is that it was a last minute request as Norah was running late so Angelina is in ‘street clothes’. Her 7 song set at Muse is worth checking out as well - not sure if her set was performed earlier that day or another day of the festival. The big deal here, for me, is how unaffected an 11 year old is singing in front of a crowd that size!

Don’t be quick to peg “Her style”. If I had to use one word to describe her style, it would be ‘storytelling’. She’s retro pop jazz blues r&b soul softrock etc. She is the barefoot Princess of 1000 voices. Likely you won’t hear her sing the same way twice for a very long time to come.

"Bad Valentine" Piano Diaries is the most recent and comes from her musical roots. As far as style Angelina can sing anything often better than the original. Her jazz upbringing comes out in varying degrees in most of her songs. Her songwriting and lyrics are stunning, esp for someone her age---and yes she is an "old soul". As far as her style, other than jazz being the foundation she cannot be put in a "box" nor do I believe there is a "bar" for her either. This is the "mother of all rabbit holes" if you choose it as there are so many performances from 7 to 18 years of age that are mind blowing one really has to experience it. Hope you do it as it is one of the most enjoyable things I have ever experienced---not just a great singer, songwriter, humanitarian--she changes peoples lives.

She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. For I Put A Spell On You - Angelina was 9 years old - Her nationality is Norwegian but is fluent in English even at this age - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the vocal arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version and communicated to the band how she wanted it to be played - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes "her wishes" and it is read by the recording producer/engineer. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. For more insight into how Angelina works, here is a rehearsal video with some of the same band members at the same age (9 yrs old) - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and communicates to them what she wants to do. The first thing she says is that she wants to start, followed by her saying she wants to start over, later she tells the pianist that the key is too low and that she wants to raise it a half-tone, then at the end of the song she changes the ending on the fly. Kevin, certainly you are not the first to have your concerns. To EVERY rule, there are exceptions, and Angelina proves it. While her interpretation to this song is not conventional, she believed it to be a song about a strong love. Her intense love of music, allows her to convey incredible emotion in her singing. I Put a Spell on You has been covered by at least 200 artists, some good, some not so good. I used to think the only ones worth listening to were CCR and Nina Simone. That was until I heard Angelina's interpretation. Her's is the most faithful to the 1956 original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on TH-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on TH-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a TH-cam video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on TH-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage.
On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE.

In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield").

@kevinty7 Gloomy Sunday, also known as the Hungarian suicide song. This is one of four performances on NGT that brought her widespread attention, but for me, the mix in this recording has her voice overpowered by the music too much for me to hear clearly. If you have the same experience don't give up on her because there are three other performances in Norway's Got Talent that watched back to back show just how fast her abilities grew just in the time she was there. She went from 7 to 8 during this period of time but by comparing the first, middle two, and last performance of Summertime, well, it's just astounding how fast she improved from an already very high start. Her pich accuracy in her second a capella performance is remarkable. Her wide vibrato, her rasp, the deep, rich tone for someone so young, it's astounding. By the time she is 10 and 11, she is literally a world-class vocalist. Maybe you don't believe me but if you stay with her you will.

There are four young ladies I admire, love and follow, Angelina and Villarreal sisters (The Warning).
All of them started their careers very young 10 years ago, Angelina 7, Alejandra 9, Paulina 12 and Daniela 14. But it was to the audience, all of them started before, around 6.
There are many other coincidences between they. Of course, talent, dedication, hard work, humanity and empathy... and probably the big key to their success, their family environment, values and support.

You kind of have it backwards. First of all, she does the arrangements, the band follows her, not the other way around. Secondly, they call her the girl with a thousand voices for a reason, she can sing anything, she doesn’t sound like this on every song, it is unfair to say you don’t care for that particular style of singing, listen to one of her other songs and you know what I mean.
thanks Rob, it’s not unfair for me to say my own opinion on my channel, I have never been a fan of that particular style of singing but apparently that was just for this song and she has a varied voice vocally and is somewhat of an alien in that respect like all these other amazing singers I have on the channel . I understand why you are all so protective of her, it is my first first time hearing her but thanks for the support And I said what I honestly thought, and that there will be more ❤️❤️ I think some people think reactors should just lie and say they love everything that they listen to, wouldn’t that be great?
@@kevinty7 That particular style or genre of singing is jazz so you are not a fan of jazz then? What style/genre are you a fan of? Angelina incorporates jazz in a lot of different styles/genres she sings. And just for the record I appreciate your honesty.
@@robertbiron thanks Rob👍🏽honestly, I wouldn’t say I don’t like Jazz, having played in a band for many years myself I appreciate anyone that produces music whether that be live or in the studio. In terms of jazz it wouldn’t be the first genre of music I would turn to if I fancied listening to something but that’s not to say I dislike it. Maybe Angelina will be my lead into becoming more of a jazz fan.👍🏽
@@kevinty7 Well I would say out of the thousands or perhaps hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans she has probably very few were into Jazz before getting to know her. But your next song will be quite a very much different style. With probably a bit of jazz infused.

Hey Kevin, I'm glad to read what you WANTED to SAY, given your response to Adair's comment and your willingness to learn is a huge plus.
However, I also understand Adair (whose comment is probably a bit harsh considering you're a newbie) and other Angels who are offended by your comments (who held back though), because this is what you ACTUALLY said:
"Okay, well I think I just need to just be careful with how I word what I want to say here. I think cuz there is issue that I have and but it's NOT JUST WITH ANGELINA JORDAN and this song. I ALWAYS just feel a little bit uncomfortable with very very young children singing songs that they probably don't really know what they're singing."
So bottom line: you have problems with young singers INCLUDING Angelina (without knowing her) and the words "sing ALONG with a band" (to someone who at 10yo worked with Norway's national radio symphony orchestra uhd national stars like Alan Walker and Alexander Rybak) and "looking forward to see more from her a little bit older" (implying the amazing things she did from 8-10 are worthless) ain't helpful either.
So I think you only got off lightly because the Angels are an understanding and mostly positive fanbase - but also very protective. Now I'm curious to see your next reaction.
well Paul, someone has a lot of time on their hands, as I said I don’t go back on anything I said in the original video. I do have a problem with children singing songs that they don’t understand the meaning of, at this point I didn’t know that she knew everything about the song so I think reasonable and fair to give me some grace there. I’m sorry dude, you immediately ASSUMED that Angelina “didn’t know what she was singing”. And you are ABSOLUTELY wrong! You just made yourself look like a fool to all the Angelina fans! I will give you a second chance, however. You are not alone in underestimating Angelina. Many reactors before you have made the same mistake. And usually, they will come back and admit they misjudged the maturity of the 9 year old Angelina. it’s not your fault… Angelina is the exception to the rule. actually dude, that’s NOT what I said, I said my concern is with children that are young, singing songs that they might not know what they mean, I very specifically said I wasn’t being specific to Angelina or that song, you need to listen closer to what I’m saying. I haven’t misjudged her at all, I won’t need to go back on anything I’ve said, I said she’s a natural talent and I look forward to hearing more from her. I will do more

@@kevinty7 That was a little uncalled for from Adair, I did listen to what you said and agree with you about your concern for many young singers. Angelina however is not one of those, she has been singing since 18 months of age and could speak multi languages at a very young age. Trained in vocal management very young and was pretty much ready by the age of 5, yes 5 as stated by her mother Sara. Entered national competition NGT at 7 yo only because that was the minimum age, and won at 8 yo with 46% of the vote out of the last 10 finalists. Yup, with the competition it was pretty much clear that it was all over by her second song. Her vocals were just insane.
